About: I’ve been watching dogs for 7 years now. I love all types of dogs. But the first dog I ever got close to was a pitbull. He was the first over night dog sit/house sit. I ever did, the couple would travel often due to work. So I would dog sit about 2/3 times a week. I did that for about two years and gained a lot of experience with dogs due to that job. I also find dog walking a great way to stay healthy and active with out it feeling like a work out. I’ve enjoyed dogging sitting ever since I started and don’t plan to stop. In high school, I took a veterinary prerequisite course and completed a co-op at a vet office, where I got hands-on experience caring for animals and learned how to administer medication in both pill and liquid form. I’m comfortable working with pets that have allergies or need to stick to a strict feeding and bathroom schedule. My love for animals goes beyond dogs and cats - I’ve kept leopard geckos, and I grew up next to a farm where I regularly visited the retired horses just to keep them company. I’ve always been drawn to animals that need a little extra attention and care. I’m comfortable lifting and carrying larger dogs, and I genuinely love going on walks and playing, whether that’s in the home or out at the park. Your pet will be in experienced, loving hands. I work a standard 9–5 during the week, so I focus my sitting availability on Friday evenings and full weekends. On weekends I’m completely free and happy to stop by for in-home visits, take your pup out for a walk, or even bring them along for a drive. About: ROVER is my favourite way to enjoy pets and new areas. I work as an education assistant. I work short days on a full time basis. I am able to take weekdays within Ottawa if your pets can be left alone during the day. Weekends, holidays and summers I can go anywhere for my Rover clients. As my life goals are coming to fruition, I know that this is not the right time for me to personally home, love, and care for an animal of my own. My children are all grown, and I am currently more interested in traveling, whether in my own backyard or halfway around the world, I want to see all that I can!! Most weekdays, I may be at work for 7 hours. On weekends, holidays and summers, I am able to travel further for my Rover clients. Much of my family lives in Cornwall, so I love the opportunity to take clients there. I am also willing to drive to Montreal, Pembroke/Petawawa, Kingston, Toronto or Niagara Falls areas if you need me for 1 week or longer. I am able to take your dogs out for short walks, weather permitting, if they are not pullers. As I don’t drink, smoke cigarettes, or use drugs, that will never be happening in your home.
