About: I am a former dog owner of an 18 year old Cockapoo I lost 1,5 years ago. Prior to this I cared for my 19 year old Spaniel/terrier. In addition, I am listed on Trusted House sitters as a Five star House/pet sitter. My last girl, I took care of her in Pallative state, administering, meds, special allergy bathing , going to the Vet for fluids and other treatments. Carry her down the deck stairs for her potty time when her ability was no longer there to climb up and down stairs etc. I had both of my dogs as a puppy and trained them with some dog trainers and my own training. I still have bedding, dishes, wire and mesh crate, toys! I am retired, I have some spare time depending on some days between appointments and trips into Ottawa. I would be more available during the day and early evenings I have a fenced yard, with plenty of grass down below the deck area. I am close to walking trails and sidewalks outside of my home. I do have a wired and mesh crate. I may administer some oral medication. Walk, feed, give lots of love, hugs and attention to your fur baby!

About: I have had dogs big and small since I was a child. My mother and aunt run a dog kennel with many different breeds and sizes of dogs. They also run a local breeding service giving me lots of experience with dogs young and old. I currently still own a bernadoodle who loves his walks I’m sure as much as your dog does too. I work shift work and on my days off love staying active when I’m not with my children. I love being outside and what better excuse to have than to help get your loved ones some exercise. I am strictly a dog walker or someone who can come to your house and let your animals out in the yard for a stretch and exercise.

About: Your pet will enjoy 3 walks a day and open access to our 10 acre hobby farm just on the outskirts of kemptville (just a few minutes from the 416 for easy drop off and pick up ). Most Saturdays guests will Also enjoy a walk on the historic town of merreckville. Everyone in our household loves spending time with dogs, so rest assured while you are away your pet will receive our full attention . Both my husband and I are retired and are able to spend quality time with your pet every day. Starting with a morning walk on the property(dogs leashed at all times). We have several trail systems in our area to also provide afternoon walks We gave 40 years of experience with our own dogs and also taking care of family dogs when required. When we walk our dogs are always leashed . Visiting dogs are free to lounge on the back deck or lawns and will always be tethered

About: We're in the process of opening a kennel on our 27 acre homestead, until then, we're here on Rover! Let us give your pets an enriching experience while you're away, and you peace of mind that they are in not one but two sets of good hands. Our dog Styx loves all pets, big and small, but we also have experience and infrastructure for some personal space if your pet takes a little longer to warm up or has special needs. We are currently building a kennel on our wooded retreat, and in the meantime, our home is open! We are home full-time and spend our days outside tending to the property, bringing your pets along, with lots of water and indoor breaks. We have a fenced yard and the house is able to be segmented off depending on the needs (puppy pen, cat area with dogs, cat area dog free, day crated, whatever your comfort is.

About: I had the absolute honour to be a dog Mom for 15 years. My beautiful Benjamin earned his angel wings in September 2023 but I still remember how hard it was to find a loving & attentive dog sitter who had senior dog experience, and it was through Rover that I met some really amazing dog-sitters and I'm forever grateful they were part of Benji's journey. Benji had diabetes for years so I have extensive experience administering needles and oral medication. Benji was also a fussy eater so I’m also used to making meals tasty and the environment super relaxing to ensure your baby is as happy as they can be while you’re away. The primary reason for having a higher-than-average rate is because I promise to provide exceptional, safe, and attentive care to your precious baby. I’m also open to giving very frequent updates and photos to make your experience away from your baby as enjoyable as possible. I’m very mindful of safety rules and making sure you’re little (or big!) one is safe and cared for 24/7. I love dogs so much and I miss their beautiful love and light, and while I’m not ready to have another one of my own yet, I look forward to caring for your dog as I would my own. I love giving lots of cuddles, belly rubs and walks and I aim to make every dog feel super loved and adored. Right now I’m currently working in Ottawa for the federal government from Monday to Thursday. I work from home on Fridays, and I am available all weekend and would dedicate every hour to looking after your fur baby. I’m currently in transition to retirement, so I will be available for full-time sitting as of January 1, 2027. For boarding, I am comfortable spending all of my free time outside of work with your baby. I don’t have any obligations that would take me away from focusing on your baby’s care. I also live in a very quiet neighborhood, so it would be a peaceful and enjoyable experience for your little one. I look forward to meeting you and your precious baby! 🐶 For now, I work from home 1 day a week (Fri) and have to be in the office in Ottawa 4 days a week (Mon-Thurs). I would be able to be home with your baby (Fri, Sat, Sun) but if you’re going on vacation and request more than those 3 days I’m more than happy to do 7 days a week, as long as you’re ok with them being alone on the 4 days I’m in the office (from 7am to 3pm). As of January 1, 2027, I will be fully retired and available 24/7. I have a fully fenced yard and live on a corner lot so there is lots to see and sniff even if just running around my yard, but I am happy to go on lots of leashed walks as well. I’m pretty good at interpreting the signs for potty time, but I love learning as much as I can from you about what your baby’s habits, needs and preferences are. Being a devoted dog Mom for 15 years, I was always extremely careful about making sure my Benji was safe and happy, and I did many things to avoid potential situations, such as crossing the street on walks if another dog looked aggressive, making sure I had eyes on him at all times and knowing what he was doing, even when sniffing the ground, making sure nothing was on the ground that could be hazardous. Nothing was more important to me than protecting my Benji and also making him feel super loved and relaxed. Trust is so important when choosing a dog-sitter. I’ve had a few negative experiences when I needed one in the past, so I know how awful it can be to search and have to settle for mediocre care when in a pinch, so it’s important to me to offer the utmost in care for your baby and for you to be assured that they are in good hands. I’ve had very positive experiences using Rover in the past as a dog owner & I’m excited to now be able to give positive experiences to other pet parents as a dog-sitter. I’m more than happy to abide by any and all requests or preferences that you have when it comes to your baby and I’d love to know their likes and dislikes and whatever else will make their stay with me the best time ever!

About: I’ve lived with and taken care of many different dogs over my lifetime, including within my family and branching out to friends families as well. I have been seen as a go to for pet check ins, sittings, and walks. Recently, I have decided to branch out and make more four-legged friends! I work from home 3/5 days per week in Kenmore/Metcalfe/Russell/Greely area, and would be happy to take my lunch breaks to go on walks with your fur babies, or to do some check-ins! I am also open most weekends. Ensuring your fur baby feels safe, secure, and comfortable is my top priority! Sometimes new faces can be scary, but I ensure I approach new fur babies with love and care. Safety is also something that I consider to be top priority, which includes the safety of your pet and your home. About: I've been a cat lover and owner for over 20 years. I love having dogs in our home, playing and taking walks in our local neighborhood. I work from home full time and would love extra company. About: Ive been working with animals ever since I was a little kid. Grew up working with horses and having multiple animals at home! Your pets will be loved and taken well care of till you get back! Will provide updates and photos regularly to reassure you that your pet(s) are being loved and cared for while you are away from home! I’m currently working part-time in Barrhaven. My shifts are on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday’s from 7:00am-3:00pm. I am allotted an hour lunch break, so depending on the distance your house is away from my work, I would be more than happy to return to your home and provide any needed potty breaks! I am happy to spend as much time with your animals as you want! Whatever you need done for them, will get done: walks, poop and scoop, cuddles, etc!

About: I love animals, especially dogs. I like creating a nice environment for them with fresh water, food and play indoors and out. About: I’ve been around animals my entire life, having cats since I was a kid, constantly being around dogs & finally having my own for the last 6 years, & 15 years of riding and training horses. I’m confident, attentive, and used to picking up on what animals need, when they need it. I work a shift schedule, so my availability isn’t the same every week, but I’m reliable, communicate early, and only take bookings I can fully commit to. I provide house sitting, walks, and drop-in visits depending on what your pet needs. I keep their routine as close to normal as possible with regular walks, feeding, play, and downtime, and make sure they’re comfortable and settled while you’re away.

About: I have taken care of dogs most of my life. I have often had more than 1 at a time and can’t imagine life without a fur baby. There truly is nothing like doggie love 💜. Friends and family know they can depend on me to care for their pets as if they were my own. Dogs seem to instinctively know that I am a sucker for a fur face. About: I’ve grown up with dogs and have had my German Shepard since I was 10. I’ve taken care of a variety of dogs and cats ever since and would love to host your pet. I have trained my dog with patience and will be able to handle absolutely anything! I currently work permanent part time and will be able to take care of your pet whenever I am available. With that said, this includes walks, nutrition, and overall attention to the dog/cat during the entirety of their stay. My house does not have any hazards and has a fenced backyard with a swimming pool. I live in a very safe and beautiful neighbourhood that can accommodate any pet. My house is far from any major road, surrounded by a golf course, and is close to various parks and pathways that the pets may enjoy.
