“Paige was a perfect fit for my large dog Walter - her home has a HUGE fenced In yard where the doggies can run free - when Walter stayed with Paige I was on vacation in Costa Rica for a week and through all the photos & communication that were sent by Paige I believe my dog had as good - IF NOT BETTER then the time I had. were other dogs that were in my terms “ on vacation “ as well which I found so comforting as my big boy loves to play ! Paige is confident to allow dogs off leash while on numerous walks. If I ever travel again I hope Walter is welcome back - highly recommend- peace of mind this was my first time using ROVER and I am 100% satisfied.”

“Our Standard Goldendoodle Winnie stayed with Danielle for 10 days. We received updates and pictures from her every day! It was so awesome seeing pics of our girl on her vacation! She came home exhausted from all the fun she had. Thank you Danielle for giving our girl a very loving home away from home ?? Winnie will 100% be off to stay with you again when we travel!!!”

“We had such a great experience with Lynda while we were away. She took amazing care of our dog, Theo. From the start, it was clear that Theo was in extremely good hands. Lynda provided detailed daily updates along with photos and videos, which gave us total peace of mind and let us see how happy and comfortable he was. It honestly felt like Theo was on his own little vacation. What really stood out was how caring and attentive she is. She creates a structured, home-like environment that helps the dogs feel safe and settled, and Theo clearly thrived under her care. Her home is also very clean and orderly. It’s not always easy leaving Theo behind, but knowing he was with someone so thoughtful and experienced made all the difference. Hands down the best dog sitter we’ve ever had. Lynda is truly phenomenal, and we will definitely be re-booking Theo with her again. Thank you for everything!”

“Dash just loves being with Tanya and her family including all her friendly dogs. Tanya keeps was updated with lots of photos, let pur dog be a part of her faimily and it shows when he meets her or he is about to leave them. We are actually very thankful to finally find someone who loves Dash as much does them.”

“Frankie and Gus had a great stay with Kirstin & Justin. They provided updates throughout their stay, were flexible with drop off and pick up times. We would definitely book with them again. They came home happy pups!”

“Bonco’s first stay with Linsdsay and I hope to won’t be his last. He came home happy and relaxed and didn’t show any of his usual signs of anxiety while staying with her. Very happy.”

“Bridget & Glenn were very nice to take Blaze on with a last minute booking. They took the time to show me around the farm. My dog and he had lots of fun with the other dogs exploring all the sites and smells on the farm.”

“Kavya took care of Bailey while we were away. Bailey made herself at home and was treated like family! I received news and photos every few days, it was perfect! Thanks!”

“Left our big guy with Madeleine for a weekend. Was worry free that he was in great hands, received picture that he was nice and settled and just made us feel at easy. Will definitely be using Madeleine for our next trip. Highly recommend!”

“We left our pup Boone with Clair for a weekend and had a great experience! She took him for lots of trail runs and sent us pictures while we were away which really helped ease our minds :) I would absolutely recommend Clair and hope to book with her again in the future!”

“We were concerned about leaving our dog with people as our last experience with a kennels didn’t go well. We met with Janice and Renee prior to booking and were reassured. They are an amazing family and our dog found his home away from home. Janice and Renee sent pics and notes every day and this was wonderful. We can’t think of anyone else we would leave our dog with. They only let us put 5 stars but we would give them 10!!! Highly recommend this great family.”

“This was my first time leaving my dog with people she hadn’t met before so I think we were both a little nervous. Dottie tends to be wary of strangers—especially men—but she warmed up to Selina almost instantly and even befriended Pascal and Jesse without hesitation (which is almost unheard of for her). I received daily updates along with pics and vids that put me totally at ease! This is a family of true dog lovers (with some serious dog-whisperer energy). They exceeded all my expectations and I’m pretty sure Dottie’s already planning her next visit with them.”

“Best family ever!!! They look after your dog like their own! He was so well looked after and had a blast! I received so many videos and pictures, it was the best experience leaving our boy with such loving pet lovers ♥️”

“Timon had such a great day with Jocelyn and Jason! He had a blast playing with their sweet dog, Bella, and came home happy, exhausted, and well exercised. Thanks again, Jason and Jocelyn!”

“Victoria was terrific. I was nervous as I hadn't left my pup with a sitter before and she sent me photos of my very happy dog! Her communication was great, and she was very accommodating over the holiday weekend. Thanks again Victoria!”

“April was absolutely incredible with our two dogs. She was very communicative, answered all our questions and made us feel extremely comfortable. We travel a lot and needed to find someone who could take care of our boys when family isn't available. We are happy to say we have found a second home for them with April.”

“We left our dog with Kathrine and family for two weeks and couldn’t be happier with the care she provided. Our pup was clearly well-looked-after, and we loved receiving regular photo updates. It gave us real peace of mind while we were away. Highly recommend!”

“Elizabeth was an excellent pet sitter, and we’re so grateful for her help. She communicated clearly and consistently, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. She was kind and thoughtful with both our family and our cat, and it was obvious our pet was in great hands. She also stepped in to help us out of a last-minute jam, which we truly appreciated. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

“Nafisa is one of the best sitters, she took care of our 2 adults male cats, a mum with three newborn kittens. She was committed updating us daily with pictures. We’ll hire her again if we needed house cat sitter. Thank you Nafisa”

“Taylor did a great job dropping in to look after my cats over a couple of days. Being able to pay special attention to each of their behaviours and needs is much appreciated. I'm sure we'll become a repeat client!”

“Katie was the best thing to happen to me and Mowgli. Having someone who cares so much about your pet takes away so much stress when travelling. She’s attentive and committed and had my somewhat not always social cat purring away with her. Highly recommend!”

“Mckinna was excellent. We had her house/cat sit and when we came home the house was in order and she left a beautiful card and framed drawing of our babies. She would send updates during our vacation and we came home to some very happy and well taken care of kitties. We would recommend her services.”

About: What sets me apart from other cat sitters is the level of care, attention, and dedication I bring to every feline I look after. I have hands-on experience with cats that require specialized care, including my mom’s cat, whom I cared for after eye surgery—administering medications, monitoring recovery, and ensuring a calm environment for healing. I’m meticulous when it comes to hygiene and comfort, and I actually enjoy deep-cleaning cat areas, litter boxes, and accessories to keep everything fresh and safe for the cats in my care. Over a six-month period, I successfully took care of a friend’s six cats, balancing different personalities and needs while maintaining a happy and healthy environment. On top of that, I have two hairless cats of my own, which means I’m well-versed in the extra attention and maintenance they require, such as regular bathing, skincare, and temperature regulation. My experience with both everyday care and special needs makes me a reliable, attentive, and exceptionally thorough cat sitter.

About: I've been a cat owner before to two beautiful cats in the last 15 years and am well aware how special and unique each kitty can be! I have experience with giving medication and preparing medicated foods as well. I love to show affection and cuddle cats but completely respectful to the kitties who like their own space as well.
About: I’ve taken care of most pets; dogs, cats, fish and hamsters for quite a long time and find comfort in spending time with animals as well as taking care of other people’s family members. I work at the hospital so my schedule is different but can be rather flexible. I will mostly be available during the day and can make a few exceptions depending on the day! Taking care of things is second nature to me, as the oldest siblings as well as my workplace. Safety, trust and integrity are the strongest pillars of my life.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats my whole life - medium and large breeds, all kinds of personalities - so pet care has always been second nature to me. I’ve solo-cared for my own pets for weeks at a time, and I’ve stepped in for friends and family for both short visits and extended stays. In high school, I took a veterinary prerequisite course and completed a co-op at a vet office, where I got hands-on experience caring for animals and learned how to administer medication in both pill and liquid form. I’m comfortable working with pets that have allergies or need to stick to a strict feeding and bathroom schedule. My love for animals goes beyond dogs and cats - I’ve kept leopard geckos, and I grew up next to a farm where I regularly visited the retired horses just to keep them company. I’ve always been drawn to animals that need a little extra attention and care. I’m comfortable lifting and carrying larger dogs, and I genuinely love going on walks and playing, whether that’s in the home or out at the park. Your pet will be in experienced, loving hands. I work a standard 9–5 during the week, so I focus my sitting availability on Friday evenings and full weekends. On weekends I’m completely free and happy to stop by for in-home visits, take your pup out for a walk, or even bring them along for a drive. I come to you — so your pet stays comfortable in their own space and never has to adjust to a new environment. Whether you need a quick check-in or someone to spend a good chunk of the day with your dog, I’ve got the time and the enthusiasm for it. During my visits I’ll make sure your pet is fed on schedule, has fresh water, gets bathroom breaks, and gets plenty of playtime and affection. I’m happy to take them out for walks or a drive if they need more stimulation or just love being out and about. I’ll follow whatever feeding, medication, or care routine you have in place — whether that’s managing allergies, sticking to a strict schedule, or administering medication in pill or liquid form. I treat every home with respect and every pet like they’re my own:)

“Oslo had a great time with Bridget and Glenn for daycare. Their flexible, open approach provides oslo with supervised freedom and is so much better for him than traditional kennel boarding where he alone in a kennel for most of the day. I trust Bridget and Glens experience completely, and the flexible pick-up and drop-off times make everything much less stressful for me. Highly recommend!”

“Oliver officially knows how to sniff his way to Mirians's house in the morning... He basically dragged me to her front door today! I think that means he likes it there 😊thanks, Mirian!!”

About: I have a real way with animals, some people call me Snow White. I’m kind with a gentle touch and an enormous heart. I’m phenomenal at reading body language and non verbal communication. I’m very sensitive which is why Im so great and able to connect with animals. My friend and I run an all natural soap shop (newboro soap company check is out;). I work from home, do markets in the summer, and am in the shop once a week. I’ll be honest with you all. I’ve been wanting to create this opportunity for myself since I saw the movie monster-in-law with Jennifer Lopez and I FINALLY have the ability to make it come true! I think I should be the one paying for the opportunity to get furry cuddles and unconstitutional love but I cannot do that here so instead I’ve dropped my price to the lowest possible to reflect that I care about the TIME I get with your pet. There’s nothing better to me then a great walking/playing buddie. I make life long Furfriends. I’ve also cared for a verity of animals, big and small from farm birds to budgie birds, snakes and horses, what can I say, I love it!

“Sept 9, 2024: We left our toy poodle (13 months old) with Catherine for the first time. Catherine is a lovely person and you can clearly tell that she has a natural passion for looking after dogs and always has their best interest and safety in mind. Her home and yard are very clean and organized. We received regular updates on how our puppy was doing with pictures and videos, which was so nice to receive. Our puppy had the company of Catherine’s own puppy and the two played really well with each other. They have a backyard that is fenced and puppy-proof for a perfect place to get some fresh air and play time. We will be booking again with Catherine. Looking for your go-to daycare - We highly recommend Catherine. Thank you Catherine! 5+ stars”

“Elizabeth is really a gentle sensitive dog lover. I was very happy to have her take care of my dog Penny. She tried to help Penny with some of her insecurities. I also received photos of their walks daily. I will definitely have Elizabeth again ❤️❤️”

“Oleshia and Andew took such great care of our dog while we were away. It really helped take the stress of us knowing she was in such great care. You can tell they really love dogs! I would recommend them to anyone looking for a dog walker!”

About: I am a country girl. I grew up in a small village south of Ottawa, ON. My grandmother lived close by and one day she got a German Shepherd, Black Lab mix. He was a puppy and my Aunt named him Timber. My Dad and my Uncle potty trained him. He was an indoor and outdoor dog. My Dad built him a good dog house. Timber would come indoors at night in the colder months. In winter, he would come with us on skidoo trips. He would spend the day running and chasing after us on the skidoo through the cornfields behind my grandma's house. My Grandma and my Aunt walked him every single morning and night no matter the weather down the country road and back. Timber got into a dog fight and defended and protected me and my younger brother and sister from two neighbor dogs that came onto our property. One dog was a Rottweiler and the other was a Boxer. Timber got a cut on his nose. He liked to lay down on the floor next to grandma's reading chair in the evenings. Timber got old and passed away. At my Mom's we had a Rottweiler named Keila. Her mother's name was Elka. She would come to the lake with us and play in the water at the shoreline. She was an indoor and outdoor dog. We also had a fluffy, grey cat named Heidi. She was a farm kitten we took from my grandma's farm. She was an indoor and outdoor cat. She always stayed on or near the property and liked to catch mice and leave them at the front door. She was soft and cuddly. We also had a black and white cat named Oreo before Heidi but she ran away. As kids we would visit my grandpa on his 50 acre property and spend the weekends there. My grandpa had a team of 7 huskies. As a kid my cousins, younger brother and sister and I would spend hours and days feeding and playing with the dogs. They were mainly outdoor dogs and brought indoors at night during the winter. But they preferred to be outdoors. My uncle, my dad and my grandpa built them all dog houses close to the house. They were mostly off leash dogs until they started running away. There are bears and sometimes cougars and a dog got hurt once so we had to start tying up the dogs. They were still all walked around the property every day. When I was 15 my Dad bought me my own dog. I named him Prince. He was part wolf, husky and german shepherd. He was my best friend. I raised him since he was a puppy. He slept in a shoebox on the floor beside my bed and I remember him whining. My Dad and I potty trained him. He was an indoor and outdoor dog. Outside he was taught to stay on the property. My Dad built him a dog house lined with carpet and hay and a good roof under a big shady tree in the front yard. As a teenager after school I would take him for walks and runs down the country road we lived on, with cornfields on either side and little to no traffic. I would walk on the road and Prince would be running in the cornfield parallel to me. We would walk about 6km to the boat launch on the Rideau River. Prince would chase after sticks I would throw into the river and he would bring them back. As Prince got older he started running away for a few hours into the cornfield, then he would be gone for the day, then one time he was gone for two days and we had to start tying him up at his dog house when he was outside. We still went for walks to the river and back every day. During the winter, Prince would perk up his pointy ears and listen for mice running underneath the snow and pounce on them. On cold, winter days and nights I would lay on the floor with him in front of the fireplace, and lay my head on his side. He was like a big, warm, soft pillow. Prince is part wolf and he would howl at the sirens from the nearby fire department, we would howl together. Prince ate wet/canned and dry dog food mixed together twice a day. We also gave him food scraps like meat and ham bones, gravy and mashed potatoes, left over spaguetti noodles and sauce. Sometimes I would mix just spaguetti sauce with his dry food. At family holidays like Christmas and Thanks Giving he always got a plate of food. He also liked bread and butter, cheese and bread with peanut butter. Being part wolf by nature, Prince was protective of his food and growled and showed his sharp teeth if you put your hand near his food bowl. So we left him alone while he was eating. After high school I moved to Edmonton, AB. Prince stayed at my Dad's and I would spend time with him when I visited. Later on I moved back and a few years later Prince suddenly got sick and I had to put him down from a tumor they found on an x-ray. He was 11 years old. I am happy I was there for him in his last days. It was meant to be. He was my dog. German Shepherds, huskies and wolf dogs are pack dogs. They are very loyal and protective of their human pack families. I have experience in basic dog training like commands "Sit", "Stay" and "Down" and "Bad" and "No". I have experience in leash training dogs. My younger sister has owned two dogs that I have spent a lot of time with and helped take care of. She had a Beagle named Dozer. He liked car rides and barking and howling at squirrels. My sister used to take him for canoe rides on the lake. Her second dog was a Rottweiler named Malakai, Mally for short. Both dogs are passed away now due to old age. I looked after one of my grandpa's huskies at my home for a few months. Her name was Pluto. She had one blue eye and one brown eye. She was a sweet, shy, quiet dog. I owned a pet rabbit named Oreo who was black and white. He was indoors during winter and cold months and outdoors during warmer months. During the warmer months he lived in an outdoor playpen on the grass, not in a hutch. He was held and cuddled a lot. In winter he was kept in a large, similar pen that was cleaned daily. I started developing asthma from cleaning his pen indoors so I had to give him to a new family who had a proper outdoor hutch etc. to care for him. I was a foster volunteer for the Ottawa Humane Society from 2021-2022. I fostered two dogs in this time. My first foster dog was a white, long haired husky mixed with Golden Retriever. Her name was Aka. I would drive, and take her for long walks in the forest on hiking trails. We would spend hours in the forest in the snow. I know how to dress for winter from ski-dooing with my family. I would bundle up and take her for a walk in a winter blizzard. We loved it. She was later adopted by a Chinese family with three young girls. Aka has the perfect temperament for young children. She reminds me of the dog nursemaid 'Nanna' from the Disney movie Peter Pan. I cried like a baby when she was adopted. She was the perfect dog. The second dog I fostered was a Bernese Mountain dog named Benny. Benny was an anxious dog with an eye infection. He was taking anxiety medication and drops for his eyes. Sometimes it was difficult to get the drops into his eyes so I would hold a cold, wet washcloth over his eyes and try to squeeze some of the cold water into his eyes to give him some relief from the swelling and irritation. My Mom was a nurse, volunteer fire fighter and ambulance paramedic so I know some things about first aid and I've also taken a Pet First Aid course with the Canadian Red Cross. Benny's eyes later recovered and he was adopted within a few months. I completed a Fear Free Shelters course through the Ottawa Human Society - Training for canine foster volunteers. The course focuses on reducing fear, anxiety and stress during vet visits, making dogs feel comfortable while in a shelter. Understanding animal behavior, learning safe and gentle dog handling techniques and providing positive reinforcement. I have some experience with farm animals from hanging out at a friend's farm. I have experience hand feeding cows hay and giving head rubs. I have experience feeding farm cats and kittens. I have experience bottle feeding a farm kitten and a calf. I have experience cleaning farm kittens eyes and giving eye drops and changing their bedding in the barn. Currently I walk a clients dog free of charge after cleaning her home. She is an elderly Golden Retriever named Sheera. Sheera knows that when I come to visit, she gets to go for a walk around the block and through the park. I am available for dog walking and pet sitting. I am available most holidays. Please send me a message to confirm my availability and to schedule a Meet & Greet. About: What sets me apart as an animal sitter is a lifetime of experience and a genuine passion for caring for animals of all kinds. I’ve been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember and have had the privilege of caring for them at every stage of life, from tiny babies to elderly companions. My experience includes everything from daily dog walking to specialized care for pets recovering from surgery or living with health conditions. I’m comfortable providing attentive support to senior animals, handling medication routines, and making sure each pet feels safe and cared for. Whether it’s active playtime, quiet companionship, or following detailed care instructions, I approach each pet with patience and understanding. Pet sitting for me is more than just a service—it’s an extension of my lifelong passion for animal care. About: I have taken care of dogs most of my life. I have often had more than 1 at a time and can’t imagine life without a fur baby. There truly is nothing like doggie love 💜. Friends and family know they can depend on me to care for their pets as if they were my own. Dogs seem to instinctively know that I am a sucker for a fur face. I am truly excited to have made a career change that will allow me to embrace my passion for pets. I work part time ( mostly from home). I am flexible as I schedule my own hours and can work around any special requirements you may have. I live in a rural area with a large yard. I usually go out walking with my dogs for an hour in the morning and a half hour in the afternoon. I do have some long leads by the door for quick potty breaks. I am home during the day and love to have cuddles and play time.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life. I’ve been watching neighbours, family and friends pet when they need a helping hand. Always looking forward to getting outside to go for walks. I’m currently working from home, so it allows me to keep an eye on your pet. During my breaks I can play with your pet as well as give them lots of love and attention throughout the day! I have a big yard for your dog to run around in. Recently got a puppy, so it would be great for them to play together.

“So happy to have found Jessica to walk my 5 year old lab when I need to be out for a long period of time. She arrives on time, sends pics of the walk and communicates with details of the walk. She is used to dealing with large dogs and Hank loves her…Highly recommend a walk with Jessica…”

“Frankie and Gus had a great stay with Kirstin & Justin. They provided updates throughout their stay, were flexible with drop off and pick up times. We would definitely book with them again. They came home happy pups!”

“We left our dog with Kathrine and family for two weeks and couldn’t be happier with the care she provided. Our pup was clearly well-looked-after, and we loved receiving regular photo updates. It gave us real peace of mind while we were away. Highly recommend!”

“What a lovely family! It truly felt like a 'home away from home' for my dog. Hunter enjoyed his time with Manali and her family so much—it was like a vacation for him, too! Thank you for treating Hunter with such genuine love and care. You will always be my first choice, and I highly recommend your services to any pet owner!”

“Apollo had another fantastic stay with Daniel and Sarah! As always, they are always super responsive, send great photos and updates over the stay. I can tell Apollo absolutely loves being with them and their kids, as he never wants to leave 😂”
“Rosie was great! Had a last minute trip planned and needed urgently a pet sitter and Rosie came and saved the day. She treated my pup as her own and brought her to her work where she had a great time! I can tell my puppy was comfortable and very well taken care of.”

“Hannah was awesome with Cardi! Our girl is a little apprehensive with new places usually. We had a meet and greet a few days beforehand and all was great. I felt very confident leaving her with Hannah. She is very professional and clearly loves looking after dogs. Will absolutely not hesitate to have her sat by Hannah again. Our girl was very happy and tired out by her walks and backyard playtime. Thanks again Hannah!”
