“Paige was excellent with Beauden. She provided a safe environment where he could get exercise and play, and overall make a home away from home for my dog. I appreciated the communication and transparency while I was away, it was a nice comfort that my dog was in good hands.”

“Thank you again to Lynda and her family for making Maggie feel so welcome and safe. Linda always lets us know how Maggie is doing and she is just so loving and caring.”

“Danielle once again provided wonderful care for our Doodle, Basil who loves to visit and play with his canine buddies. Danielle provides regular exercise and affection and it’s obvious that Basil enjoys his visits.”

“Tanya was awesome as we were a last minute booking. In Ottawa for our son’s wedding we quickly realized our senior dog needed company the night of the wedding and used Rover for the first time. How lucky we are to have found Tanya and have a great experience. Our dog had a sleepover with her and her fur babies and wasn’t lonely one second! And we were able to enjoy the wedding stress free knowing he was well taken care of. Thank you Tanya!”

“Manali and her family poured so much love onto Zeus on our most recent visit to Ottawa. He really felt comfortable there. Elsa, their dog, was so gentle and accomadating to Zeus. They were also very accomodating to allow me to pick him up for a walk when i missed him! I would gladly recommend Manali for anyone looking for a homely environment for their dog.”

“Clair was so caring and made sure our pup didn’t have a chance to miss us. Lots of pictures of him living his best life on his puppy vacation. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Clair’s home for a stay!”

“Johanna is a kind and incredibly reliable dog watcher who truly treats pets like family. Cosmo needs a bit of time to trust new people, and she gave him the space, calm energy & gentle reassurance he needed. We felt completely at ease knowing she respected his personality, made him feel safe and comfortable. He was relaxed, well‑fed and happy when we picked him up. We are very grateful and will happily book with her again.”

“After having read such excellent reviews of Madeline and Ryan, we felt completely assured to leave our 2 year old dog with them. And they turned out to be exactly as the reviews said (excellent). Given our dog is quite timid in nature, we appreciate the patience and understanding that both Madeline and Ryan showed. We also appreciate the honest feedback that helped us learn about it our little one’s personality outside our home. We would definitely return to them in future.”

“Frankie and Gus had a great stay with Kirstin & Justin. They provided updates throughout their stay, were flexible with drop off and pick up times. We would definitely book with them again. They came home happy pups!”

“Bear had a wonderful stay with Beverly. Beverly was kind, responsive and the perfect match for Bear. She was extremely helpful and prepared for our dog's stay. Beverly's home is well appointed for dogs, with proper fencing and many walking trails nearby. We will definitely be booking with Beverly again.”

“This was our first time using Rover for a dog sitter. We were a little unsure but Lindsay and her family made this a great experience. Lindsay met with us a couple weeks in advance of our pup’s stay, she sent us many updates with photos and took such good care of our pup that she did not want to leave. We’ll definitely be using Lindsay again in the future. Wish we could rate her with 100+ stars!!!”

“This was my first time leaving my dog with people she hadn’t met before so I think we were both a little nervous. Dottie tends to be wary of strangers—especially men—but she warmed up to Selina almost instantly and even befriended Pascal and Jesse without hesitation (which is almost unheard of for her). I received daily updates along with pics and vids that put me totally at ease! This is a family of true dog lovers (with some serious dog-whisperer energy). They exceeded all my expectations and I’m pretty sure Dottie’s already planning her next visit with them.”

“While I considerd "not dead or missing" to be successful for an online pet boarding service, our dog settled in quickly and seemed sad to part ways with her new friends at the end of the week. April also helped to manage a bit of an upset stomach and allergies through her visit which inspires confidence.”

“Akanksha and her husband were wonderful care providers for our Yorkie, Mika. They sent us daily updates and reached out promptly with any questions. It’s clear that she and her husband have a love of animals and are committed to providing excellent care. I highly recommend!”

“Cosmo had a great time on his weekend stay with Nicole and Eddie. Once again they were great. Communication and accommodation was top notch. They clearly kept Cosmo busy with walks and playtime as he slept the whole day once he got home! We highly recommend Nicole and Eddie.”

“Miaozi was a fantastic sitter! She took great care to learn all about what my dog needed and accommodate his needs. She took him on plenty of walks and provided regular updates. Her warm, calm energy was perfect for my timid dog. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you!!”

“Couldn’t have asked for a better first experience using Rover. Kelly provided great care to our kitties and went out of her way to keep their litter area squeaky clean. She provided lots of photos during the check ins. Would recommend!”

“Elizabeth was an excellent pet sitter, and we’re so grateful for her help. She communicated clearly and consistently, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. She was kind and thoughtful with both our family and our cat, and it was obvious our pet was in great hands. She also stepped in to help us out of a last-minute jam, which we truly appreciated. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

“Taylor did a great job dropping in to look after my cats over a couple of days. Being able to pay special attention to each of their behaviours and needs is much appreciated. I'm sure we'll become a repeat client!”

“Heater was great, has so much love to give to my dog..my dog recognized right away that Heater was a great care taker they bounded right away.. Heater kept me up to date and send videos and pictures on a daily basis! I recommended and will book her again when needed !”

“Nafisa took great care of my cat Bobbi for 25 days while I was travelling. She sent photos on several occasions to show me how Bobbi was settling in to her new environment. She also consulted me when she noticed a small sore on my cat. Nafisa and her husband were both warm and inviting to my cat and I would not hesitate to trust Bobbi to their care again. I would highly recommend her as a cat sitter.”

“Christie was awesome! Her communication is great, she is very responsive to messages and followed our instructions for our cat’s care to a T. She gave us regular updates on our cat and was available to answer questions and give updates on him as requested. I would definitely book with her again!”

About: What sets me apart from other cat sitters is the level of care, attention, and dedication I bring to every feline I look after. I have hands-on experience with cats that require specialized care, including my mom’s cat, whom I cared for after eye surgery—administering medications, monitoring recovery, and ensuring a calm environment for healing. I’m meticulous when it comes to hygiene and comfort, and I actually enjoy deep-cleaning cat areas, litter boxes, and accessories to keep everything fresh and safe for the cats in my care. Over a six-month period, I successfully took care of a friend’s six cats, balancing different personalities and needs while maintaining a happy and healthy environment. On top of that, I have two hairless cats of my own, which means I’m well-versed in the extra attention and maintenance they require, such as regular bathing, skincare, and temperature regulation. My experience with both everyday care and special needs makes me a reliable, attentive, and exceptionally thorough cat sitter.

“Danika loves our cats and they love her back. She’s conscientious, takes excellent care of them and the house and sends updates often which I really appreciate. I never worry when she’s “on the job!””

I'm looking to gain more hands on experience with a variety of dogs and cats. I have a fenced yard with 2 friendly cats. A large house that is warm and loving. About: While I haven’t worked with cats professionally, I’ve always loved them. I regularly spend time with my brother’s cat, who I help care for when he’s away. I’m familiar with the independent nature of cats, and I enjoy bonding with them through play, quiet companionship, and respecting their space. I’ll make sure your cat feels safe, relaxed, and well looked after in your absence.
“Mckinna was excellent. We had her house/cat sit and when we came home the house was in order and she left a beautiful card and framed drawing of our babies. She would send updates during our vacation and we came home to some very happy and well taken care of kitties. We would recommend her services.”

About: I had the absolute honour to be a dog Mom for 15 years. My beautiful Benjamin earned his angel wings in September 2023 but I still remember how hard it was to find a loving & attentive dog sitter who had senior dog experience, and it was through Rover that I met some really amazing dog-sitters and I'm forever grateful they were part of Benji's journey. Benji had diabetes for years so I have extensive experience administering needles and oral medication. Benji was also a fussy eater so I’m also used to making meals tasty and the environment super relaxing to ensure your baby is as happy as they can be while you’re away. The primary reason for having a higher-than-average rate is because I promise to provide exceptional, safe, and attentive care to your precious baby. I’m also open to giving very frequent updates and photos to make your experience away from your baby as enjoyable as possible. I’m very mindful of safety rules and making sure you’re little (or big!) one is safe and cared for 24/7. I love dogs so much and I miss their beautiful love and light, and while I’m not ready to have another one of my own yet, I look forward to caring for your dog as I would my own. I love giving lots of cuddles, belly rubs and walks and I aim to make every dog feel super loved and adored. Right now I’m currently working in Ottawa for the federal government from Monday to Thursday. I work from home on Fridays, and I am available all weekend and would dedicate every hour to looking after your fur baby. I’m currently in transition to retirement, so I will be available for full-time sitting most likely in the fall of 2026. For boarding, I am comfortable spending all of my free time outside of work with your baby. I live alone, and do not have obligations that would take me away from focusing on your baby’s care. I also live in a very quiet neighborhood, so it would be a peaceful and enjoyable experience for your little one. I look forward to meeting you and your precious baby! 🐶 I work from home 1 day a week (Fri) and have to be in the office in Ottawa 4 days a week (MonThurs). I would be able to be home with your baby (Fri, Sat, Sun) but if you’re going on vacation and request more than those 3 days I’m more than happy to do 7 days a week, as long as you’re ok with them being alone on the 4 days I’m in the office (from 7am to 3pm). I have a fully fenced yard and live on a corner lot so there is lots to see and sniff even if just running around my yard, but I am happy to go on lots of leashed walks as well. Being a devoted dog Mom for 15 years, I was always extremely careful about making sure my Benji was safe and I did many things to avoid potential situations, such as crossing the street on walks if another dog looked aggressive, making sure I had eyes on him at all times and knowing what he was doing (even when sniffing the ground), making sure nothing was on the ground that could be hazardous. Nothing was more important to me than protecting my Benji and also making him feel super loved and relaxed. Trust is so important when choosing a dog-sitter. I’ve had a few negative experiences when I needed one in the past, so I know how awful it can be to search and have to settle for mediocre care when in a pinch, so it’s important to me to offer the utmost in care for your baby and for you to be assured that they are in good hands. I’ve had very positive experiences using Rover in the past as a dog owner & I’m excited to now be able to give positive experiences to other pet parents as a dog-sitter. I’m more than happy to abide by any and all requests or preferences that you have when it comes to your baby and I’d love to know their likes and dislikes and whatever else will make their stay with me the best time ever!

About: I am a former dog owner of an 18 year old Cockapoo I lost 1,5 years ago. Prior to this I cared for my 19 year old Spaniel/terrier. In addition, I am listed on Trusted House sitters as a Five star House/pet sitter. My last girl, I took care of her in Pallative state, administering, meds, special allergy bathing , going to the Vet for fluids and other treatments. Carry her down the deck stairs for her potty time when her ability was no longer there to climb up and down stairs etc. I had both of my dogs as a puppy and trained them with some dog trainers and my own training. I still have bedding, dishes, wire and mesh crate, toys! I am retired, I have some spare time depending on some days between appointments and trips into Ottawa. I would be more available during the day and early evenings I have a fenced yard, with plenty of grass down below the deck area. I am close to walking trails and sidewalks outside of my home. I do have a wired and mesh crate. I may administer some oral medication. Walk, feed, give lots of love, hugs and attention to your fur baby!
“Wonderful home to bring your pups to! The warmest couple that treated my dog Sunnie just as if she was their own. The property is beautiful and perfect for country living and a safe sanctuary for any pet. Sunnie came home happy and I will not hesitate to bring Sunnie back soon for another visit. She was in great hands!”

“Oslo had a great time with Bridget and Glenn for daycare. Their flexible, open approach provides oslo with supervised freedom and is so much better for him than traditional kennel boarding where he alone in a kennel for most of the day. I trust Bridget and Glens experience completely, and the flexible pick-up and drop-off times make everything much less stressful for me. Highly recommend!”

“Ashley is absolutely wonderful. She took great care of our puppy Isla. Her dog Alfie is such a good companion and was so good with her. Isla was absolutely pooped by the end of their visits. Smooth communication, drop off and pick up. We will definitely be back!”

“Sept 9, 2024: We left our toy poodle (13 months old) with Catherine for the first time. Catherine is a lovely person and you can clearly tell that she has a natural passion for looking after dogs and always has their best interest and safety in mind. Her home and yard are very clean and organized. We received regular updates on how our puppy was doing with pictures and videos, which was so nice to receive. Our puppy had the company of Catherine’s own puppy and the two played really well with each other. They have a backyard that is fenced and puppy-proof for a perfect place to get some fresh air and play time. We will be booking again with Catherine. Looking for your go-to daycare - We highly recommend Catherine. Thank you Catherine! 5+ stars”

“Leo stayed with Manasa for the very first time.. she was very responsive and provided updates throughout the day. I feel leo had a wonderful day at Manasa’s and was well taken care of. Thank you Manasa.”

About: I’ve been a dog owner for over 10 years, and I’ve also volunteered with dog rescues where I had the privilege of fostering many pups of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. From tiny lap dogs to big goofy giants, I’m comfortable caring for them all. What We Offer 🐾 A loving, family-centered home environment 🐾 Experience handling dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities 🐾 A safe space with both canine and feline friends for social pups 🐾 Plenty of walks, playtime, and cuddles Whether your dog loves to run around and play or prefers to curl up for naps, we’ll make sure they feel right at home. Since both my partner and I work from home, pet care is naturally built into our daily routine. We’re home throughout the day, which means your pup will never be left alone for long stretches. Walks, playtime, and cuddle breaks are part of the rhythm of our household, and our kids love being involved too. Because we’re around so much, we can keep a close eye on feeding schedules, potty breaks, and any special needs your dog may have. Our own pets, Ivy and Marley, also make sure there’s plenty of interaction and companionship. Caring for animals has always been a part of our lives, so welcoming another dog into our daily routine feels like second nature. In our home, pets are cared for just like family. Since we don’t have a fenced yard, all outdoor time is supervised — dogs go out on a long leash for playtime, potty breaks, and fresh air. This way, they’re safe while still getting plenty of exercise and stimulation. Inside, they’re welcomed into our daily family routine with lots of love, play, and attention. My goal is always to make your pet feel comfortable, secure, and cared for, whether they’re in my home or in their own.
About: Love dogs and cats since a child. Raised two dogs, a cat and a rabbit from a baby. Used to walk dogs and provide dog stay for neighbors and friends while they are away. I work at home and personally love to walk in the morning and evening. My habits and schedule will ensure pets are given enough time outdoors to release their energies if needed. I will first understand what the pet needs and their habits as each pet is different and has their own personalities. I will then cater to their traits. For example, a puppy needs more attention and an adult pet might needs their own time and peace.
“My pup had a wonderful day and got to celebrate Chinese new year’s with homemade puppy approved dumplings! He always comes back with a big smile 😃 and tuckered out. Great combo. 💯”

I play sports in the evening a few days a week but nothing that can’t be worked around I will ensure I study the area my clients live in and discuss the areas and routines your pets are accustomed to. Also, the type words they respond to. I always want to ensure they will feel safe and comfortable.
About: While I don’t currently have a dog of my own, I’ve spent years caring for dogs through family, friends, and my time helping at a veterinary clinic. During that time, I gained hands-on experience handling dogs of different sizes and temperaments, assisting with their care, and accompanying them to obedience training classes. I understand the importance of patience, positive reinforcement, and maintaining a safe, structured routine. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or simply relaxing with good company, I’ll provide dependable, loving care and treat them like they’re part of my own family. I’m currently not working and would love to spend my down time caring for animals as it has always been a passion of mine. Schedule is pretty flexible. I believe pets are happiest when they can stay in the comfort of their own home and maintain their normal routine. I take the time to learn each pet’s schedule, including feeding, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and any special instructions. I provide plenty of attention, affection, and enrichment while also respecting each pet’s individual personality and comfort level. I currently provide care in my clients’ homes rather than my own, as I want to ensure every pet is in the environment where they feel safest and most relaxed. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away.

“Paige was excellent with Beauden. She provided a safe environment where he could get exercise and play, and overall make a home away from home for my dog. I appreciated the communication and transparency while I was away, it was a nice comfort that my dog was in good hands.”

“Danielle once again provided wonderful care for our Doodle, Basil who loves to visit and play with his canine buddies. Danielle provides regular exercise and affection and it’s obvious that Basil enjoys his visits.”

“Cosmo had a great time on his weekend stay with Nicole and Eddie. Once again they were great. Communication and accommodation was top notch. They clearly kept Cosmo busy with walks and playtime as he slept the whole day once he got home! We highly recommend Nicole and Eddie.”

“Cathy (and her family!) took such good care of Arja. We got frequent updates while we were away and never worried about her at all. It's great peace of mind knowing she was with people who were willing to give up their laps to her!”

“Susana was great with Nugget- very consistent communication throughout the stay. She was very patient with him as he adjusted to a new location. You can tell their whole family loves having pups in their care.”

“highly recommended 10/10 she was alwasy checking in an sending me updates of my dog plus I noticed for the first time my dog was shaking when she was leaving so happy! thank you catherine”

“Kavya took care of Bailey while we were away. Bailey made herself at home and was treated like family! I received news and photos every few days, it was perfect! Thanks!”

“Emily was great. Very friendly and very relaxed with Roxy. Although it was a short sit and we didn't require it, Emily gave us an updated midway through the sit so that we knew Roxy was adjusting well.”

“Duane and Anna were an amazing host for Zuko. Duane send us many pictures and videos of our Zuko during the day. The communication was excellent. The Zuko seem to have had so much fun. He got tons of exercise and playtime. Ana groomed Zuko as well and she did a fantastic job. Will for sure use them again.”

“We left our dog with Kathrine and family for two weeks and couldn’t be happier with the care she provided. Our pup was clearly well-looked-after, and we loved receiving regular photo updates. It gave us real peace of mind while we were away. Highly recommend!”

“We were concerned about leaving our dog with people as our last experience with a kennels didn’t go well. We met with Janice and Renee prior to booking and were reassured. They are an amazing family and our dog found his home away from home. Janice and Renee sent pics and notes every day and this was wonderful. We can’t think of anyone else we would leave our dog with. They only let us put 5 stars but we would give them 10!!! Highly recommend this great family.”
