“Third time Melanie has looked after Rosie in our home! As always, we appreciate Melanie's cheerful & dedicated approach to the role, and we can tell how much Rosie loves Melanie by how she misses her (and looks for her!) after we return. Melanie saved Rosie from a groundhog on this stay, so there's never a dull moment!”

“Tamara was fabulous with my senior dachshund, Dexter, in our home. She arrived a few minutes early and was kind enough to stay longer when I let her know I was going to be later coming home. It was really nice to get a photo of him eating his food after one of the walks they did together. Dexter is happy and it seems like he is tired, which means he had some good walks. Thank you, Tamara!”

About: I grew up with a dog and now I'm the doggie auntie💁🏻♀️. Very flexible as I work from home two days a week. Here for exercise and community building. I work from home on Tuesdays and Thursdays and otherwise I have availability at my job is flexible for breaks. I am also around most weekends. All I need is clear communication, and I can be flexible to any routine. I used to dog sit for dogs that required peanut butter on toast with breakfast and would only come inside from a jaunt if a granola box was being shaken, so I am up for any challenge and specificities.
“We loved having Danika care for our 2 Labrador retrievers in our home. Our dogs were clearly well cared for and very happy. She maintains excellent communication both before we went away and while we were gone. Immediately from our first meet and greet we knew she was a loving caregiver! Danika was able to manage our 9 month old puppy who unexpectedly went into her first heat just before we left. We were so relieved to know that Danika has experience with this. I absolutely can recommend Danika as a good choice to take care of your pets and your house.”

About: I’ve loved animals my whole life and cared for pets for many years. Since moving here two years ago, I’ve missed having pets of my own, so caring for yours is the next best thing! Back in the Philippines, I did independent rescues and fed strays daily, so I’m patient, compassionate, and experienced with pets of all temperaments. I work full-time at Mercedes-Benz, 11–7, five days a week, which means I have plenty of free time outside of work to dedicate to caring for your pets. Currently, I’m not offering in-home pet care at my place, as I don’t have the space for pets right now. I focus on providing love, attention, and care while visiting your home, ensuring your pets feel comfortable, safe, and happy in their own environment
“My dog spent five days with Elizabeth and loved it! I received daily updates and photos on their time together. She is very easy to communicate with and made me feel very comfortable during my time away from home. I will definitely be booking with her again.”

About: Attentive and caring. Nature lover. Love playing tug of war and playing catch with dogs. Live about a 10min walk from Hampton park and dog park. Love also snuggles and taking some down time at home. I have two children, 6 years old and a 9 year old, they are active and playful. My 9 year old loves to do small tasks like pouring the food or brushing the dog. He really wants a dog. My 6 year old loves cuddling and kissing. They are with me every other week. I keep all harmful cleaning products up high and clean mostly with vinegar and water because it's healthier for the kids and environment. Hope to get to know you soon! Cheers. I am home most of the week, working remotely. I am available some weekends- with and without kids, so it doesn't hurt to ask. :) I have a fenced yard that is a good space to let out energy. We go to the park and woods often to explore and take in fresh air. We like to spend time together as a family in the evening either dancing or reading stories together. My kids are well behaved and respectful towards animals. I am also available every other weekend for house sitting. Again-- asking does not hurt-it might be possible. I like to fiddle around with photography so I take some more "artistic photos" if I see one.
About: For future reference; will not be accepting non neutered or spayed cats/dogs unless accompanied by a crate, especially if their not trained please. I do have one myself, so not that you need to have one per se but allow use if necessary! This is partially for Henrys experience too, so please keep that in mind when reading this; its not to be snarky. I have trained two dogs growing up who have above average listening and response times. Positive reinforcement was key to my success, psychology paid off. One was a rescue dog; she was such a sweet heart but it took some time getting her to open up based off her traumatic experiences prior to entering the adoption location she luckily found her way too. Henry on the other hand, was purchased from a breeder, so fortunately for him less baggage, and unfortunately for her given the circumstances. I've done dog sitting/pet care for family dogs when family members would go on vacation for anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks. Medication administration is a non issue, as well as grooming is another area I take great pride in doing myself, as it's a good trait to have being a pet owner. Have cared for puppies, adult or senior dogs; we were a dog first family growing up so I've grown to love them more than you can realize just through descriptions; with my active daily lifestyle it allows for the animals to gain as much out of exercise as I do and working from home helps as well. I treat animals as if their my family or children, so they'd receive the same treatment one would expect from a friend baby sitting their children. Seamlessly; he wakes up when I do and is let out accordingly at 4 AM we go for multiple walks a day most notably 430 AM and 530 PM. I work from home so it makes it very manageable to get him outside for bathroom breaks within 2-2.5 hour interval periods. I'd like to think we both operate at a high level through one another. We feed off one another, so when he's upbeat I am too, but when I'm down he has his tricks that ensure a great therapeutic touch. I treat them as if their my children; I speak to them in a way they understand with words or phrases we've practiced or has practiced to ensure optimal success in regards to understanding one another. Henry and I like to play often with his toys or just horsing around with Belly rubs and chasing him around the house. He sleeps with me too, so no furniture is off limits as I usually have blankets or other covers in place to manage hair loss.
About: I have been a foster with the Ottawa Humane Society for 1 year with experience watching puppies, small dogs, big dogs, and elderly dogs! Although I do not have one of my own, I enjoy learning about the behaviours of different breeds and am able to provide basic training. I am currently working 3 days full-time in Ottawa and 2 days full-time in Kemptville. I am able to work remotely from home some days and am available after 5 pm most days. I can easily adapt to your dog’s needs, whether that be lots of exercise and play time or down time and pets! I enjoy spending time outdoors and long walks!
About: I am a vet tech with 15yrs experience working with animals. I currently am working with both dogs and cats in animal behaviour. I have dealt with all different breeds and sizes of dogs. I also have experience working in a cat specialty hospital. I strongly believe animals need proper enrichment and exercise to trive and be happy and healthy! I am currently working full time but am available evening, some Thursday's and Friday's during the day, and alternating Saturday's and Sundays and occasionally holidays. I would care for your pet as if it was my own. Giving them the love and attention they deserve. I only available for home visits.
About: I’m a proud pet parent to a spirited Shiba Inu, so I understand the importance of patience, structure, and lots of love when it comes to caring for dogs. I’ve also been volunteering with the Ottawa Humane Society for the past 6 months in their Canine Enrichment Program. Through this role, I’ve worked with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments—providing enrichment, positive reinforcement, and companionship in a shelter environment. Whether your dog is high-energy, shy, or somewhere in between, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, stimulated, and cared for. Pet care is a natural part of my daily life—I had a Shiba Inu, so I know already the routine of daily walks, feeding, playtime, and downtime with a pet. I also volunteer weekly at the Ottawa Humane Society, which keeps me in tune with the needs of different animals. When caring for pets in their own home, I prioritize consistency and comfort. I follow your instructions closely to maintain your pet’s routine, whether that includes feeding, walks, litter box cleaning, play, or cuddles. I also make sure your home stays tidy and secure, and I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos so you know your pet is happy and well cared for. I aim to be a calming, trustworthy presence while you’re away.
About: I love animals, especially dogs. I like creating a nice environment for them with fresh water, food and play indoors and out. Lots of physical exercise in the yard and on trails and at the river. I have had a dogs and cats, birds and rabbits since childhood. I am very responsible and kind and fun. I have 18 years experience as a care worker for medically fragile and disabled people and the home. I also take care of the animals in the home and grooming and safety. I am happy to open my home to caring for people’s animals and look forward to getting to know your family and your animals. Take Care, CJ. I have plenty of time to give attention to pets in our home. The animals are first in the routine with fresh water, food and outdoor exercise. I have a large, private lot that the dogs can play in on their leash. We have a large home where I provide very safe care for every animal.
About: Lifetime dog Mom. We have boarded dogs from 1 night to 20 nights so far. We have had Mini and teacup poodles, Dachshunds, Goldens, Labs, Labradoodles, Bichons, Schnauzers and other mixed breeds. We have great relationships with all of our pet families. We are a family of four, my husband and I have been in Richmond for 27 years in the same home. We live in a bungalow with a fenced yard. Many furry guests have enjoyed lazing in the sun in our front window, on our backyard deck and have enjoyed going for long walks in our dog friendly, and walking through the conservation area alongside the Jock River. We have two grown sons - 21 and 25. We all work full time, and there’s always somebody home. We are all animal lovers. I grew up with a shepherd and a lab. Our family has had the love of Ruby, a beagle and the most fun with Freddie, our beloved Bichon-Poodle. We laid Freddie to rest in Sept 2021. Our home is open to doggie silliness and company. I’ve done pet and house sitting for friends and family for years. Our primary interest is in hosting low or non-shedding dogs. Doodles, poodles, schnauzers, dachshunds, GMD, you get the idea. We love small to medium breeds. But check with me because I do love them all and would be willing to try any breed. I like to arrange a meet and greet and have a trial stay before committing to a long term 1-2 week stay. Our family has taken many roads trips and brought our own dogs with us over many years, now we are avid campers/glampers (travel trailer) and, when our customers approve, we have taken some of our furry guests with us. We understand both your concerns and your needs for a worry free time away. We are ready to care for your pet and give you peace of mind while away. Please note that we may take dogs from 2 families at one time during busy seasons and are well set up to manage this. Our home is a relaxed space and we always make sure the furry guests are kept stress free. I work full-time (mostly remotely) - when I have to be in the office I make arrangements with my sons to help out with dog walking and check-ins. My days ebb and flow. I can take the time necessary to get up early with your dog and get them walked, fed and settled before I start my day. I often have breaks during the day and can take them out a couple of times per day as necessary. We also have a fenced yard and a dog door to our large deck and yard. My pet sitting style is to give dogs lots of play, attention, snuggly places to nap and enough love so they don’t miss you too much while you’re away - hoping you and your pet will be comfortable never stressed. I can care for your furry family members in my home or in yours. I know it helps dogs and cats feel less stressed when they can stay home, follow their routines and be in safe and familiar surroundings.
