“Lynda is our go-to dog sitter for our precious Tink. She and her family care very much for their pets and include Tink in every activity. We are at ease knowing Lynda is taking care of Tink.”

“Madeleine & Ryan were great! I was very nervous leaving Myla, she'd only ever stayed with family and a friend before. Madeleine gave me lots of updates which eased my mind so I could have a relaxing vacation. Myla was well taken care of and felt the love and safety with them. Thanks for taking such good care of my baby, we will see you in July! :)”

“My dog received great care during his stay with Clair and got plenty of exercise. Regular text and picture updates were greatly appreciated. A stress free pleasant experience. Highly recommend.”

“It was my first time leaving Rosie alone over night and I couldn't have chosen a better home than Lindsay's. Rosie was so well taken care of and the pictures and updates I received had her fitting right in with the family. It was such a relief to know that she was so well taken care of, and I will definitely book with her again.”

“What a lovely family! It truly felt like a 'home away from home' for my dog. Hunter enjoyed his time with Manali and her family so much—it was like a vacation for him, too! Thank you for treating Hunter with such genuine love and care. You will always be my first choice, and I highly recommend your services to any pet owner!”

“Our Australian Shepherd was in heaven while staying with Bridgette. As soon as we got home, out girl was ready for bed. Thank you Bridgette for taking amazing care of Allie, making sure she got her meds, giving us updates and sending pics. I never worried that she wasn’t having fun. The only thing I worried about was that she wouldn’t to come home from all the friends and fun she was having. Thank you and we will definitely be seeing you again .”

“I had never boarded our 8 year old chocolate lab before so I was nervous to leave him. Kim made us feel comfortable with plenty of pictures and updates throughout the week. They dogs got along great, enjoyed the whole house and she even let him sleep on the bed. I can’t say enough great things about this experience. She noticed his ears were bothering him and took the time to clean them (which he doesn’t normally let anyone do but me). Thank you Kim! ❤️”

“We planned a fairly last minute trip and our usual dog sitter was not available. I read through all the nearby options on Rover and Jason’s reviews caught my eye. They were very positive and suggested this would be a good place for our dog. The reviews were spot on. Jason and his family took excellent care of Stella and not once did I worry about her while we were away. The communication was excellent, the photos were reassuring and happiness of Stella was genuine. Lovely, caring family and a big back yard. What more could a dog ask for? Highly recommended.”

“Judy is a wonderful dogsitter. Our pup was delighted to spend time with her. You know when there is a connection and genuine love for dogs - Judy is that person. So grateful that we can have a peace of mind when we have to leave our puppy for a few days with Judy.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
