About: I am a former dog owner of an 18 year old Cockapoo I lost 1,5 years ago. Prior to this I cared for my 19 year old Spaniel/terrier. In addition, I am listed on Trusted House sitters as a Five star House/pet sitter. My last girl, I took care of her in Pallative state, administering, meds, special allergy bathing , going to the Vet for fluids and other treatments. Carry her down the deck stairs for her potty time when her ability was no longer there to climb up and down stairs etc. I had both of my dogs as a puppy and trained them with some dog trainers and my own training. I still have bedding, dishes, wire and mesh crate, toys! I am retired, I have some spare time depending on some days between appointments and trips into Ottawa. I would be more available during the day and early evenings I have a fenced yard, with plenty of grass down below the deck area. I am close to walking trails and sidewalks outside of my home. I do have a wired and mesh crate. I may administer some oral medication. Walk, feed, give lots of love, hugs and attention to your fur baby!
“Wonderful home to bring your pups to! The warmest couple that treated my dog Sunnie just as if she was their own. The property is beautiful and perfect for country living and a safe sanctuary for any pet. Sunnie came home happy and I will not hesitate to bring Sunnie back soon for another visit. She was in great hands!”

“Bertie had a wonderful time with Paige and enjoyed lots of play. Great pictures and videos kept us informed of his time and he was a super happy pup when we picked him up. We'll be going back for sure :)”

“Oslo had a great time with Bridget and Glenn for daycare. Their flexible, open approach provides oslo with supervised freedom and is so much better for him than traditional kennel boarding where he alone in a kennel for most of the day. I trust Bridget and Glens experience completely, and the flexible pick-up and drop-off times make everything much less stressful for me. Highly recommend!”

“Ashley is absolutely wonderful. She took great care of our puppy Isla. Her dog Alfie is such a good companion and was so good with her. Isla was absolutely pooped by the end of their visits. Smooth communication, drop off and pick up. We will definitely be back!”

“Sept 9, 2024: We left our toy poodle (13 months old) with Catherine for the first time. Catherine is a lovely person and you can clearly tell that she has a natural passion for looking after dogs and always has their best interest and safety in mind. Her home and yard are very clean and organized. We received regular updates on how our puppy was doing with pictures and videos, which was so nice to receive. Our puppy had the company of Catherine’s own puppy and the two played really well with each other. They have a backyard that is fenced and puppy-proof for a perfect place to get some fresh air and play time. We will be booking again with Catherine. Looking for your go-to daycare - We highly recommend Catherine. Thank you Catherine! 5+ stars”

“Folks were flexible with pickup and drop off and did a great job with our pup with separation anxiety. Turtle and Avro seemed to get along swimmingly and Turtle will definitely be back!”

“Leo stayed with Manasa for the very first time.. she was very responsive and provided updates throughout the day. I feel leo had a wonderful day at Manasa’s and was well taken care of. Thank you Manasa.”

About: I’ve been a dog owner for over 10 years, and I’ve also volunteered with dog rescues where I had the privilege of fostering many pups of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. From tiny lap dogs to big goofy giants, I’m comfortable caring for them all. What We Offer 🐾 A loving, family-centered home environment 🐾 Experience handling dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities 🐾 A safe space with both canine and feline friends for social pups 🐾 Plenty of walks, playtime, and cuddles Whether your dog loves to run around and play or prefers to curl up for naps, we’ll make sure they feel right at home. Since both my partner and I work from home, pet care is naturally built into our daily routine. We’re home throughout the day, which means your pup will never be left alone for long stretches. Walks, playtime, and cuddle breaks are part of the rhythm of our household, and our kids love being involved too. Because we’re around so much, we can keep a close eye on feeding schedules, potty breaks, and any special needs your dog may have. Our own pets, Ivy and Marley, also make sure there’s plenty of interaction and companionship. Caring for animals has always been a part of our lives, so welcoming another dog into our daily routine feels like second nature. In our home, pets are cared for just like family. Since we don’t have a fenced yard, all outdoor time is supervised — dogs go out on a long leash for playtime, potty breaks, and fresh air. This way, they’re safe while still getting plenty of exercise and stimulation. Inside, they’re welcomed into our daily family routine with lots of love, play, and attention. My goal is always to make your pet feel comfortable, secure, and cared for, whether they’re in my home or in their own.
“My pup had a wonderful time playing with his new bestie and learning how to use dog puzzle toys! They both take great care to make sure my pup is happy and well looked after. Also best photos and videos to stay connected with pup during the day! 😊”

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Kemptville commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ON ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 88% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 88% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
