Krystal provided the perfect environment for Pooh. He got great care. At 13, blind and with diabetes, he still finds ways to get in trouble. He was safe. His medical needs were addressed and he was able to play safely with other pets.

Super nice with me and my cats. Helpful along the way (they helped me bring them up and down). They sent pictures/video of them to see how they interacted. Very good first experience!

Another great visit for Jackson with Nicole. He was happy to see her and had a fun play day with her family and other guests staying for doggy day care. He was not stressed and was very content when we picked him up. Thanks Nicole for taking such good care of Jackson.

Wonderful home to bring your pups to! The warmest couple that treated my dog Sunnie just as if she was their own. The property is beautiful and perfect for country living and a safe sanctuary for any pet. Sunnie came home happy and I will not hesitate to bring Sunnie back soon for another visit. She was in great hands!

Charles took amazing care of Mario! When we picked him up, Mario was happily tired out after all the playing. We were visiting Gananoque on a trip, and it was such a relief to have Charles look after him while we went on a cruise.

Luke was great with Cow! She immediately started playing with her toys with him and that’s a rare occurrence with strangers. She was pooped after a day of walks with him and it was nice to know that she could get some exercise and some couch cuddles, the perfect balance for her. Luke was keen to oblige to all the picky requirements that a chihuahua has. 20/10 would leave Cow with Luke again! Thanks for being flexible with booking and for taking good care of her!

Mila took to Thomas right away - as though she had known him a long time. He took her for a walk along the waterfront and she came home tired and content. Definitely recommend.

There are 22 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Brockville. About 82% of Brockville sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's leash and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalized care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Brockville commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in ON ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
