About: I've had dogs for the last 20 years, usually with four in the house at a time. We've had a Shih-tzu, three Jack-Shih-tzus, a Great Pyrenees, and now a solo Maltie-Poo named Dozer. Every dog I meet is a new friend, and I have to admit that I knew the names of all the dogs in my last neighborhood, and like maybe three of the owners names. Happy to walk active dogs that need long walks. For doggy day care and boarding we have to restrict it to small dogs because our own small dog is picky about which larger dogs he likes. Other animals: I've also taken care of farm animals. Dairy cows and calves, and feeding chickens and putting them in for the night. I've kept both freshwater and marine tanks and can check up on your fish or your reef while you're away. No worrying about your niece or nephew dumping a whole container of bug bites into the tank while you're gone and causing an ammonia spike. I've also kept constrictors and colubrids (but not currently), crested geckos, and dart frogs, and am familiar with the husbandry of each. I have a flexible schedule and am in between writing contracts at the moment so have lots of time available for scheduling check-ins and walks for local puppers. I can check-on and feed pets as needed, dispense necessary meds, walk them from your home, or load them in the car and take them to the Cataraqui Trail for longer walks / more active dogs.
“This was Daisy's first doggie Day Care with Nicole, Eddie and Keyser. Daisy loved her play date with Keyser, who is a husky mix. Both dogs have lots of energy and Nicole and Eddie are experienced dog owners who know how to handle active dogs. They took Daisy for lots of long walks, played ball and had some quite time with lots of cuddles. Nicole sent photos and messages to keep us up to date and reassured us Daisy was having a good time.”

About: Dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, you name it! I have a decade of experience and care for your pet. With love and compassion I am happy to help. I have a very flexible schedule to meet your pets needs. Weekend, week day, or holiday availability. Pets need love and care 365 days a year! I am happy to follow your pets routine and make sure they are happy and safe while in my care. I understand that they will miss you and will do my best to make sure they enjoy our time together.
“Nicole was great with Jackson and flexible when our timings changed unexpectedly. Jackson was happy and stress free when we picked him up. We will be repeat customers for sure.”

About: I'm 22, I've had animals my entire existence including reptiles. I live on 4 acres of mostly fenced in yard for your babies to run around. I'm flexible on anything you need for your babies. (And I can babysit your reptiles) I currently have no job but I'm looking for a part-time so I can continue to focus on meeting all sorts of new animals that need somewhere to snooze and play. I have a mostly fenced yard, three doggos that are super friendly to everything. I have experience with vet medicine and crate training. I have LOTS of safe dog toys that need to be played with.
“Wonderful home to bring your pups to! The warmest couple that treated my dog Sunnie just as if she was their own. The property is beautiful and perfect for country living and a safe sanctuary for any pet. Sunnie came home happy and I will not hesitate to bring Sunnie back soon for another visit. She was in great hands!”

About: With 200 acres of open space, your dog can explore on or off leash, follow wildlife trails, and relax on the porch for sunset views. I’m a full‑time mom and homemaker, and a serious dog lover at heart. I’ll make sure your dog feels safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away. I’ve completed years of training with both puppies and adult dogs. I treat every pup like family while still respecting their canine nature and what they need to thrive.
About: We're in the process of opening a kennel on our 27 acre homestead, until then, we're here on Rover! Let us give your pets an enriching experience while you're away, and you peace of mind that they are in not one but two sets of good hands. Our dog Styx loves all pets, big and small, but we also have experience and infrastructure for some personal space if your pet takes a little longer to warm up or has special needs. We are currently building a kennel on our wooded retreat, and in the meantime, our home is open! We are home full-time and spend our days outside tending to the property, bringing your pets along, with lots of water and indoor breaks. We have a fenced yard and the house is able to be segmented off depending on the needs (puppy pen, cat area with dogs, cat area dog free, day crated, whatever your comfort is.
About: Your pets deserve a place where they can feel safe, relaxed, and genuinely loved while you’re away—and that’s exactly what I provide. As a lifelong dog lover, devoted dog mama, and cat enthusiast, I offer a warm, welcoming, smoke-freehome where every furry guest is treated like family. Our home features cozy indoor spaces and a spacious yard perfect for playtime, sunbathing, or quiet exploration. Because I work remotely, I’m home throughout the day and able to give pets plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship. Whether your pet enjoys cuddling, playing, or simply having a calm presence nearby, they’ll always feel supported and never alone. I also offer dog walking services, daytime care, and even 24-hour care when needed, giving you complete peace of mind no matter your schedule. I’m passionate about nature and love walking forest paths and scenic trails, offering dogs enriching outdoor adventures tailored to their personality and pace. From energetic hikes to slow, sniff-filled strolls, every outing is meant to make them happy, fulfilled, and connected to the outdoors. Your pet will also enjoy the gentle friendship of my sweet dog, Bella, who loves having company. And they’ll be welcomed with open arms by my two kids, both over the age of 10, who are devoted animal lovers. My son dreams of becoming a veterinarian, following in the footsteps of his grandfather—my dad—who was a vet. With a nurturing family environment, plenty of space, constant companionship, and a deep love for animals, your pet will feel comfortable, cherished, and truly at home. 🐾 I currently work remotely running a coaching business as well as teaching fitness classes digitally. I have time to dedicate to spending good quality time with animals! Our home is on 8 acres surrounded by forest - we spend a lot of time trail walking - I like to do a minimum of 5km when I go for a walk, but I cater to the dogs needs first and foremost! In winter I love to cut trails while snowshoeing- my girl Bella loves to come with me and explore!
“Jacqueline and Jamie have once again taken AMAZING care of Nelly! They are thoughtful and considerate people that truly care about the wellbeing of all the dogs they look after. Nelly is a tired, happy girl when we pick her up after day care and there is no doubt that she received so much love and attention in their care. I would recommend Jacqueline and Jamie to anyone in the area, your dog will be extremely lucky and well taken care of!”

About: I am a former dog owner of an 18 year old Cockapoo I lost 1,5 years ago. Prior to this I cared for my 19 year old Spaniel/terrier. In addition, I am listed on Trusted House sitters as a Five star House/pet sitter. My last girl, I took care of her in Pallative state, administering, meds, special allergy bathing , going to the Vet for fluids and other treatments. Carry her down the deck stairs for her potty time when her ability was no longer there to climb up and down stairs etc. I had both of my dogs as a puppy and trained them with some dog trainers and my own training. I still have bedding, dishes, wire and mesh crate, toys! I am retired, I have some spare time depending on some days between appointments and trips into Ottawa. I would be more available during the day and early evenings I have a fenced yard, with plenty of grass down below the deck area. I am close to walking trails and sidewalks outside of my home. I do have a wired and mesh crate. I may administer some oral medication. Walk, feed, give lots of love, hugs and attention to your fur baby!
About: I’ve had tons of different animals growing up. Recently had to euthanize my 15 year old family boarder collie. Also an English bull dog who passed away at two due to breathing issues. I miss having a dog around, however am not ready to adopt my own just yet. Would love to have them over here and there. I Absolutely adore dogs! I currently work from home so I am always here to take care and love your animal! Will walk, feed, cuddle them and if permitted, take them where me and my family go, weather it’s a walk to the park or beach! We will love and care for your pet as our own. We have a backyard for them to pee/poo as well as a pool if they can swim. Will go on walks! I have two children who adore animals who are very gentle so we will all be spending lots of time together. Dog must be kid friendly though.
About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover living in Stittsville, Ottawa, and dogs have truly been my passion for as long as I can remember. I share my home with my own three well-socialized, crate-trained dogs and work mostly from home, so your pup will have plenty of attention, company, and care throughout the day. I have a large, fully fenced, pie-shaped yard that’s safe, clean, and perfect for playtime. Dogs in my care are treated like family — they’re welcome to sleep freely in my bedroom with my dogs, have cozy pet beds, and follow a calm, loving routine. If your dog prefers or needs a crate, you’re welcome to bring one, and I’m happy to help with crate time when I step out. I know how hard it can be to leave your pet, especially if you feel anxious about their care. My goal is to give you total peace of mind knowing your dog is safe, happy, and genuinely having a great time. Caring for dogs isn’t just something I do — it’s who I am, and one day it’s my retirement dream. For now, I’m thrilled to offer a loving home-away-from-home for your pup. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your dog like their own, feel free to reach out — I’d love to chat! I work 100% remote from home. I just go in and out for meetings and certain scheduling, but I’m rarely out of the house for longer than a few hours. Basically, aside from my job, dogs are my first priority and get the current attention. They need hourly if not minute by minute. I treat others dogs like I treat my own with love, warmth, and caring. I exercise the dogs daily and give them what they need to make sure that they’re tired out and before I ever leave the house for an hour or two if I need to, I make sure that they are let outside and that they’ve done their business so they don’t have to wait for me to get back.
“Kirat and her husband took care of our pet Aadhi very well. They updated regularly with photos. They followed the care instructions. We will definitely use them again and again. Thank you Kirat.”

About: I have several years of professional and independent pet care experience, including dog daycare, pet retail, dog walking, drop-ins, house sitting, overnight care and extended stays. I currently work from home, which gives me flexibility for pets who benefit from having someone around throughout the day, and I’m especially interested in building relationships with regular clients. I previously worked in dog daycare where I cared for groups of up to 75 dogs of all ages, sizes and temperaments. My experience includes feeding, walking, bathing, brushing, crating, administering medications, puppy care, senior care and working with special-needs dogs who require additional attention or accommodations. I’m also trained in canine first aid and comfortable caring for pets with more involved routines. Through my previous work at Village Pets Boutique, I gained extensive knowledge of pet nutrition, supplements and natural health products. Before that, I worked in the Pet Care department at PetSmart, giving me an even broader background in animal care and handling. I’m equally comfortable with cats and have plenty of experience caring for them through my work at PetSmart as well as independent drop-ins, house sitting and overnight stays. I’m very comfortable staying in a client’s home for extended periods and frequently provide this type of care while clients are travelling. Animals have also always been a huge part of my life outside of work. I grew up in a home with both dogs and cats and currently have two black Labs back home, Louie and Lenny. I bring a calm, capable and compassionate approach to pet care and genuinely enjoy getting to know each animal’s individual personality and routine. I currently work from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility for pet care throughout the day. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, daytime care, overnight sitting and extended stays, and I’m especially interested in finding regular clients who need consistent weekly care. My schedule can vary week to week, so feel free to message me about what you’re looking for! For house sitting, I’m very comfortable staying overnight or for longer periods and can often continue my normal workday from your home while keeping your pet company. I try to keep each pet’s routine as close to normal as possible, especially when caring for them in their own home. I’ll follow your usual feeding, walking, medication, crate, sleep and exercise routines and take the time to learn your pet’s individual habits, boundaries and personality. My professional daycare experience has made me very comfortable reading animal body language, recognizing stress or changes in behaviour and safely managing pets with very different temperaments. I’m also comfortable administering medications and caring for pets with more specific routines or needs. When house sitting or staying overnight, I’m very respectful of my client’s home and make sure everything is cared for while they’re away, not just their pet!
About: *PLEASE NOTE THAT MY AVAILABILITY & CLIENT LIST IS NOW CLOSED FOR 2023. For additional updates. Hello! My name is Allie. I've owned four rescued huskies. I currently have two young rescued huskies and two cats! I walk, groom, feed, and train my animals. I have fostered two dogs, one which was a palliative case. I am comfortable giving medication and other medical care (ie: ear cleaning). I have been paid to board two dogs by a private client and had them as clients for a year. With the dog rescue I volunteer with, I have provided transport for dogs ranging in personality. I work full time from home, Monday - Friday. With my own dogs, they receive 4 walks per day (2 hours total), along with 30 mins of playtime. We visit a private fenced dog park. I spend most of my free time with my dogs. I am also heavily involved with an Ottawa based dog rescue. I transport dogs, have fostered, and do short term dog sitting for fosters. My dogs are fitted with a harness and I use a waist belt to walk them. No dropped leashes! Unless you have a preference, for safety, your dog would be double leashed - one waist belt and one slip lead. I have double front doors, helping to prevent any escaped dogs. I own two huskies so am very familiar with escape artists. Any toys or bones given (strictly only with request or permission from owner) will only be with the dog when supervised (helps to prevent obstructions & other possible injuries) I have a completely fenced backyard. However, your dog would still be supervised while outside. We will not meet other dogs while walking unless you would like your dog to. Proper communication will be used with other dog owners and off leash dogs will not be allowed to approach. This keeps all parties safe and comfortable.
About: Drop ins, walks and more in Mississippi Mills. I can come to yours or bring them to my farm with 100 acres to explore outdoors. Can’t wait to meet your pets! I am a part time worker! I’m available most evenings and weekends. Early mornings and afternoon walks also work for most days of the week! I have room for crating dogs and separating pets if needed. I have a large property away from busy roads but prefer on leash dogs unless trained but can provide a fenced area, swimming pools and walking trails.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Perth commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ON ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
