“We had the pleasure of having Emily dog sit our two pups, our 100lb Doberman and our 5lb Miniature Pinscher and she handled them both with absolute ease! It was our first time using the Rover app, as we’ve always relied on friends and family, but we’re so glad we connected with Emily on the app. Emily was wonderful to work with, professional, reliable, and great with dogs. Our pups were well cared for and we felt completely at ease knowing they were in such good hands. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy and experienced to watch your fur babies, I can’t recommend Emily enough! 🐾”

“Haley was great and I will definitely book her again. Very responsive via messages and came ahead of time to meet Cali my Aussie who is a very anxious dog. Cali was literally in love with her at first sight. Very punctual and respectful of the home, sent regular updates and pictures, and it was clear my dog was happy, comfortable, and well cared for.”

“Sarah really helped us out of a jam when our other sitter cancelled at the last minute. She took great care of our little herd and kept us in the loop about their care. Highly recommend Sarah as a pet sitter!”

“Hannah was so helpful when we needed a last minute dog sitter at our airbnb for the day. Great communication and you can tell she is very diligent and trustworthy with your pet. Highly recommend and I wish we lived closer to have Hannah again. My dog was very happy with her and they had a great day walking the trails and snuggling! Thank you Hannah!!”

“I feel very lucky to have found Jenna and would not hesitate to recommend her to others. She is clearly an animal lover and we were able to meet in person twice before her stay which was reassuring for me. My dog is a senior and my cat very timid and she was happy to cater to their specific needs and keep me updated throughout the week we were away. She was very organized and helped me navigate the process with Rover. Thank you Jenna!”

“We are beyond happy and satisfied with Ashley’s service. It’s so comforting and good to know that our little Maggie is in such loving hands when we’re gone for any length of time. Anyone reviewing Ashley should not hesitate to see if she’s available to you - but US first…!”

My name is Josee and a HUGE animal lover. I’ve been exposed to dogs, cats and other animals my whole life. I love to walk and hike with my own dog, as well as train and provide enrichment activities. Whether it’s a daily walk, a quick drop-in, if you have a puppy or senior senior dog, you can count on me to ensure that your pet is happy, safe, and comfortable. I thrive on giving pets what they need—from walks to enrichment, snuggles, training, or just being a companion while you’re away. I am confident in handling your nervous, difficult, or anxious dog if this is a concern. As a reactive dog owner, I understand it can be difficult or frustrating taking them out or ensuring that they’ve had enough mental stimulation and exercise during the day. Learning about dog behavior/body language, separation anxiety and positive reinforcement/force-free training has also been a large area of focus in the last 5 years and I'm certified in pet first-aid - I never leave the house without my pet first-aid kit! I also have my certificate in canine nutrition (Cert.CN) - helping dogs live their best and healthiest lives through diet, exercise and stress-free living. I’m highly respectful of your dogs’ individual needs, if they have a routine to follow and I will do whatever is needed to ensure that you feel comfortable with leaving your furry friend in my care—I will treat your pet as my own. Prior to scheduling, I like to do a face-to-face meeting before beginning my services. I am available days, early evenings and the occasional weekend for clients who are scheduling regularly. When caring for your loved one(s), I will begin by assessing your dogs’ behavior and comfort level upon each visit. I am highly respectful of house rules and routines and will always advocate for your pet. **PRICING & SCHEDULING** Please contact me for pricing and service schedules as prices listed on Rover are not firm. “This is the second time Neeru cared for our dogs. They were very happy when we arrived and she always notices everything about them/their behaviour. Also keeps us updated about everything. Thank you!”

“Melanie stayed at my home for 2 weeks to take care of my cat Angel. I have to say that she was absolutely wonderful. My cat was very comfortable with Melanie and she took fantastic care of her. She left my home spotless, the way I left it. I have never had such a marvelous sitter. I would absolutely book Melanie again. Melanie went above and beyond and took loads of pictures of Angel as the progression of my cat's trust became greater. If you want the greatest sitter book Melanie P. Once again Thank You, thank you to Melanie!!”
About: Lifetime dog Mom. We have boarded dogs from 1 night to 20 nights so far. We have had Mini and teacup poodles, Dachshunds, Goldens, Labs, Labradoodles, Bichons, Schnauzers and other mixed breeds. We have great relationships with all of our pet families. We are a family of four, my husband and I have been in Richmond for 27 years in the same home. We live in a bungalow with a fenced yard. Many furry guests have enjoyed lazing in the sun in our front window, on our backyard deck and have enjoyed going for long walks in our dog friendly, and walking through the conservation area alongside the Jock River. We have two grown sons - 21 and 25. We all work full time, and there’s always somebody home. We are all animal lovers. I grew up with a shepherd and a lab. Our family has had the love of Ruby, a beagle and the most fun with Freddie, our beloved Bichon-Poodle. We laid Freddie to rest in Sept 2021. Our home is open to doggie silliness and company. I’ve done pet and house sitting for friends and family for years. Our primary interest is in hosting low or non-shedding dogs. Doodles, poodles, schnauzers, dachshunds, GMD, you get the idea. We love small to medium breeds. But check with me because I do love them all and would be willing to try any breed. I like to arrange a meet and greet and have a trial stay before committing to a long term 1-2 week stay. Our family has taken many roads trips and brought our own dogs with us over many years, now we are avid campers/glampers (travel trailer) and, when our customers approve, we have taken some of our furry guests with us. We understand both your concerns and your needs for a worry free time away. We are ready to care for your pet and give you peace of mind while away. Please note that we may take dogs from 2 families at one time during busy seasons and are well set up to manage this. Our home is a relaxed space and we always make sure the furry guests are kept stress free. I work full-time (mostly remotely) - when I have to be in the office I make arrangements with my sons to help out with dog walking and check-ins. My days ebb and flow. I can take the time necessary to get up early with your dog and get them walked, fed and settled before I start my day. I often have breaks during the day and can take them out a couple of times per day as necessary. We also have a fenced yard and a dog door to our large deck and yard. My pet sitting style is to give dogs lots of play, attention, snuggly places to nap and enough love so they don’t miss you too much while you’re away - hoping you and your pet will be comfortable never stressed. I can care for your furry family members in my home or in yours. I know it helps dogs and cats feel less stressed when they can stay home, follow their routines and be in safe and familiar surroundings.
“Lisa is incredible! This was our first time using a service for our dog, so it was a difficult decision to have some new watch our do, and spend the time doing it from our home. While Lisa stayed at our home, we agreed for her to bring her dog as well, who played with ours all the time and is such a good boy. So kind, easy going, friendly and playful. She took our dog for walks, drives, to see Christmas lights, to her animal sanctuary, all with advance permission of course. She communicates all the time, sent pictures, videos and comments about the fun he is having, keeping me always in the loop. When we arrived home, our house was in perfect condition. I actually wondered if it was cleaner then we had left it! :) I highly recommend Lisa, without a doubt. She is so kind, friendly, and so lovely. We will definitely be hiring her again and plan on hopefully setting up play dates with her dog and ours as well. Thank you so very much Lisa!”

“I can't recommend Josephine enough—she was amazing! Before our 14-day trip, she met with us so Ollie could get comfortable, and he loved her from the start. She kept us updated with photos and messages, which we really appreciated. Josephine went above and beyond, even leaving our home cleaner than when she arrived. We wouldn't hesitate to book her again. Highly recommended!”
