About: It is such a joy to be on Rover! Sadly I cant have a pet of my own right now but I’m happy to give some of my love to yours for a bit! :) I’m a lover of dogs and cats! I can also care for bunnies! ❤️🐰 I currently work from home and I’m a homebody… need I say more? I will usually x out the days to book when I know I am not going to be home for some time. I love walks in nature or by the water! It’s a huge change when a dog parts from their owner with a stranger. It’s important that I comfort them if they are showing signs of stress/anxiety. Some of the ways I comfort is by giving them attention and affection, play fetch, walk in quiet areas with less traffic. I am open to learn more about your dogs specific needs in this scenario.

About: I’m a certified dog trainer. Member National Association Dog Obedience Instructors, 6 year alumni with Susan Garrett’s Recallers, 9 years as trainer for large box store. I’ve dog sat for the past decade and have customers that come from over 3 hours away. I’ve previously bred dogs and fostered for over 30 years. I’m self employed as a trainer but also have always included dog sitting for clients who didn’t want to kennel their dogs. I do go to clients homes for training or dog walking but I am not gone for long hours so dog/cat sitting works great. I can schedule my days so both boarded dogs and training clients get all the attention needed. I have a lovely quiet farm that is the perfect place for animal care. Technically I do not have a fenced yard by I do have large indoor arena that dogs can safely play off leash in a completely secure area. I started pet sitting because I had clients that had dogs that would not have been ok in a commercial kennel. I am a perfect situation for anxious or elderly dogs. Also a great situation for puppies who may not thrive in a kennel. My own dogs are great and use to dogs coming and going. I moved to Brockville from Durham region and although many of my regular dogs still come and stay with me I do have availability and would love some regular dogs from this area.

About: Two years of experience in Australia and New Zealand as a professional dog, cat, and house sitter. In Australia, I was a pet sitter for more than 15 different families. In New Zealand, I was a live-in helper for a family and my main objective was to help care for a 5-year-old German shorthaired pointer named Jaffa. I am an active individual who enjoys exercise and spending time with pets. I am currently in Canada on a Working Holiday from Spain, so my motivation for being a pet sitter and walker is to spend time with pets because I’m unfortunately unable to have my own at this time. Currently fully available 🙋🏻‍♂️ I make your pet completely comfortable in their own space by taking care of their meals and walks. I have found that feeding a pet builds trust. I also gauge the temperament of the pet to know how I should approach them.

About: Long-time dog lover, first-time dog owner! But don't let that dissuade you. My experience with my dog started off as a big challenge (and I continue to work with him everyday!). I've learned a LOT about handling a strong dog- and I'm constantly rewarded with cuddles! I'd love to care for your dog as I do my own. If our dogs get along, I'm happy to facilitate joint walks (and off-leash if your dog is good with that), or play dates when I am taking care of your pup. Of course, we would make sure this is okay with all parties involved! I use tools with my dog, so if your dog is used to a slip lead, long line, prong collar, or eCollar, I have loads of experience with my dog and these things. I am self-employed and work from home. I set my own schedule, so I have flexibility in when I can care for your dog. Since I am out with my dog a couple of times per day, I can arrange to take our dogs out together (if everyone is okay with that!) My home is too small to accommodate more than my dog (I live in a tiny home!), so all care would have to happen at your house. I do have a dog-friendly car, and can crate one of the dogs in the car to keep them separated in transit, if I ever take them on an approved adventure.

About: Hi! I’m Cailey — a dedicated, reliable animal lover with hands-on experience caring for animals and maintaining clean, safe environments. I have a strong work ethic and a calm, attentive approach, which helps pets feel comfortable and well cared for while their owners are away. As a former Kennel Attendant at Kingston Humane Society, I’m experienced with daily feeding, watering, exercise, enrichment, and closely monitoring animal health and behavior. I’m confident following specific care instructions, administering basic care as directed, and recognizing when something doesn’t seem right. Cleanliness and safety are very important to me, and I always ensure food areas, supplies, and living spaces are kept sanitary and organized. I’m patient, gentle, and comfortable handling animals with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or just quiet companionship, I make sure they feel secure, happy, and loved. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. I’m dependable, communicative, and happy to provide updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I look forward to meeting you! I am currently in between jobs, and have an extreme love and passion for animal care and welfare! I have lots of free time to spend caring for lots of furry, scaled or feathered friends ! Unfortunately I currently cannot provide any services in my home at this time but I will absolutely provide great care for your furry friends in the comfort of their home or outdoors!
