About: I am a registered nurse with experience in crisis and emergency situations. I have two cats of my own, and I would love to habe a dog but my current living situation wouldn't be ideal for a dog. I have previously taken care of dogs and cats for family members, friends, coworkers, and through professional experience outside of Rover (yay Kijiji). I am not shy with young animals, be it getting chewed on by a teething puppy or handling toilet training needs. I am confident administering medications to animals, and as one of my own cats is special needs, I am familiar with the importance of seemingly strange requests or needs for animals. I work part time, having one scheduled shift every 2 weeks and then having the opportunity to pick up shifts. I know my scheduled shifts far in advance, and I avoid picking up shifts if I am pet sitting. I believe that it is important to maintain the routine that an animal is used to when pet sitting, and I do my best to accommodate that. I ensure to respect an animal's space when I am starting out with a new client and I take my cues from the pet. If starting out with a cat or a shy dog looks like me sitting in a corner and letting them sniff me, that's okay! I take things client by client to ensure that I can provide personalized services for you and your pets.

I have 8 years experience walking dogs and pet sitting. I have 2 dogs myself, a boston/boxer mix named Larry & a whippet named Louie. They are very sweet and typically good with other dogs. Louie is not fixed & can sometimes take issue with other male dogs. That’s one of the reasons I wouldn’t offer boarding in my house. I currently have 2 steady clients but am always looking to expand, I keep myself available almost every day of the week so if you are in need of a last minute walk or sit I will most likely be available/ I can be pretty flexible to accommodate. About: I have experience volunteering and working at the animal shelter (OSPCA) and have cared for friends and family member’s dogs on many occasions. I am compassionate towards all furry friends and do not punish bad behaviour, rather reward good behaviour. About: I enjoy the company that dogs bring! I think they bring a lot of joy to life and are a necessity to having a happy life. I am a Registered Nurse at the Ottawa Hospital. My previous experience with animals has been established from having a lot of animals where I grew up in the country (dogs, cats , cows and goats) . My most honourable experience is my 15 year old Standard Poodle Alfie. Towards the end of his life he had some disabilities and required a lot of time and attention. So I have experience with this and I would do it all over again and that’s why I am here. I LOVE SENIOR dogs and I take preference over them to provide services as I know how they can be forgotten about and just because they aren’t as active doesn’t mean they don’t need the same things .Willing to dog sit as well at your place if it is feasible …in the future if need be or my place is fine.
