About: We're in the process of opening a kennel on our 27 acre homestead, until then, we're here on Rover! Let us give your pets an enriching experience while you're away, and you peace of mind that they are in not one but two sets of good hands. Our dog Styx loves all pets, big and small, but we also have experience and infrastructure for some personal space if your pet takes a little longer to warm up or has special needs. We are currently building a kennel on our wooded retreat, and in the meantime, our home is open! We are home full-time and spend our days outside tending to the property, bringing your pets along, with lots of water and indoor breaks. We have a fenced yard and the house is able to be segmented off depending on the needs (puppy pen, cat area with dogs, cat area dog free, day crated, whatever your comfort is.

About: I’ve been house sitting since I was 16 and have cared for all kinds of pets over the years; from dogs and cats to fish and turtles. I know every pet has their own personality and routine, and I’m happy to adapt to whatever makes them feel most comfortable. I work part-time in Carleton Place, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be available throughout the day for walks, drop-ins, overnight stays, or last-minute bookings. I can easily travel throughout Carleton Place, Stittsville, Kanata, and the surrounding area. I’m someone who genuinely respects other people’s homes. I’ll treat your pets like my own, keep your home clean and cared for, and always leave it the way I’d hope someone would leave mine. Count on me for long walks, playtime, belly rubs, keeping up with feeding schedules, medication (if needed), and making sure your pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I work part-time in Carleton Place, so my schedule is very flexible. I’m available for morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight care, and I’m happy to help with planned trips, regular visits, or last-minute bookings whenever I’m available. I know pets are happiest when they can stick to their normal routine. I’ll follow your instructions closely, give your pets lots of love and attention, and make sure they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I’ll also treat your home with respect, keep it clean, and send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing everything is in good hands. I have a dog-friendly vehicle and would be happy to take your pup on little adventures with your permission! This could include a trip to the Starbucks drive-thru for a Puppuccino, a visit to a local park, or a doggy playdate if your dog enjoys socializing. Every outing is tailored to your dog’s personality and comfort level. Adventure add-ons are available for an additional charge.

About: Lifetime dog Mom. We have boarded dogs from 1 night to 20 nights so far. We have had Mini and teacup poodles, Dachshunds, Goldens, Labs, Labradoodles, Bichons, Schnauzers and other mixed breeds. We have great relationships with all of our pet families. We are a family of four, my husband and I have been in Richmond for 27 years in the same home. We live in a bungalow with a fenced yard. Many furry guests have enjoyed lazing in the sun in our front window, on our backyard deck and have enjoyed going for long walks in our dog friendly, and walking through the conservation area alongside the Jock River. We have two grown sons - 21 and 25. We all work full time, and there’s always somebody home. We are all animal lovers. I grew up with a shepherd and a lab. Our family has had the love of Ruby, a beagle and the most fun with Freddie, our beloved Bichon-Poodle. We laid Freddie to rest in Sept 2021. Our home is open to doggie silliness and company. I’ve done pet and house sitting for friends and family for years. Our primary interest is in hosting low or non-shedding dogs. Doodles, poodles, schnauzers, dachshunds, GMD, you get the idea. We love small to medium breeds. But check with me because I do love them all and would be willing to try any breed. I like to arrange a meet and greet and have a trial stay before committing to a long term 1-2 week stay. Our family has taken many roads trips and brought our own dogs with us over many years, now we are avid campers/glampers (travel trailer) and, when our customers approve, we have taken some of our furry guests with us. We understand both your concerns and your needs for a worry free time away. We are ready to care for your pet and give you peace of mind while away. Please note that we may take dogs from 2 families at one time during busy seasons and are well set up to manage this. Our home is a relaxed space and we always make sure the furry guests are kept stress free. I work full-time (mostly remotely) - when I have to be in the office I make arrangements with my sons to help out with dog walking and check-ins. My days ebb and flow. I can take the time necessary to get up early with your dog and get them walked, fed and settled before I start my day. I often have breaks during the day and can take them out a couple of times per day as necessary. We also have a fenced yard and a dog door to our large deck and yard. My pet sitting style is to give dogs lots of play, attention, snuggly places to nap and enough love so they don’t miss you too much while you’re away - hoping you and your pet will be comfortable never stressed. I can care for your furry family members in my home or in yours. I know it helps dogs and cats feel less stressed when they can stay home, follow their routines and be in safe and familiar surroundings.

“Johanne was beyond amazing with my dogs. She was always on time, kept up communication, got some fantastic photos and kept us updated about both our dogs. I was worried at first as one of my dogs is a muscular puller and thought for sure that it would be a challenge but not at all. She handled both dogs perfectly and I am pretty sure she taught them to be bilingual as well. 10/10 she will be my number one choice and the only person I will recommend to others. About: I've taken care of dogs and cats since I was 12 years old. I'm very patient and love working with animals to ensure that they are comfortable. I work at home during the day from Monday-Friday and care for my Shih tzu throughout each day. I bring her for many walks each day. I am flexible in the care for my clients pets. Based on client recommendation, I can either give their pets their own comfortable space or, if they enjoy the company of people and other dogs, I can slowly introduce them to my dog in a shared space.

About: I have had dogs for many years. Now that I am retired I am looking to giving back and helping other pet owners. I know that time is limited and sometimes you just need some help. Given my years of experience and my love of dogs, helping dog owners seemed the natural fit. It is a win/win....you get some much needed help and I get to enjoy being with your canine friend! I walk everyday as part of my active lifestyle and love to meet and greet dogs along the way. Seems like the perfect fit to invite your dog along for a scenic walk around the area. I love a brisk walk for my own health benefits and I know from past experience that my dogs always benefited from the same. Whether it was a better sleep or better appetite or being better behaved and ultimately more healthy, a good walk was the answer. I know from being busy in the past, I wasn't always able to get out regularly with my furry friends. If that is you, then that is where I come in to help and keep those walks regular.

I currently own two amazing dogs - a 9-year-old German Shepherd and a 4-year-old Alaskan Malamute mix - so I’m very familiar with caring for large, active breeds and understanding that every dog has their own unique personality and needs. I’m an active, reliable, and organized person who loves spending time outdoors. Whether your dog enjoys leisurely neighbourhood strolls, longer walks on local trails, or simply having someone to keep them company, I’d be happy to help. I have experience with dog walking, pet sitting, and caring for both dogs and cats, and I always treat every pet as if they were my own. I have always had dogs and pets in my home, currently mom to two kids and one 11 year old cattle dog (think Bluey). Experience with puppies also! I am certified in first aid and CPR for your pets and have experience giving oral medication. Let me know if you have certain expectations for updates or pictures you would like to receive as I want to do whatever I can to help ease your mind while caring for your pet. I can help give your pet social interactions, walking for exercise or just extra cuddles while you're away. My schedule is flexible, if something you need isn’t listed (or availability) please message me as I can usually work something out. Daytime is my most available. As a mom of two kids, I always ensure safety is top priority for everyone. I will only walk animals on a leash to be safe and always check for ticks after coming back from walks. I have experience with medication for animals and CPR for animals.

About: I’ve owned dogs and cats all my life and I have a small 12 pound dog that is eight. I understand how important it is for pets to have time to play and stay into their daily routine. I am able to walk, play or administer medicine when required for dogs and cats. As a dog walker, my schedule permits me to walk anytime on the weekday, and early in the morning or early evening on the weekdays. I have time to walk, or change their litter, and ensure that their daily needs, medication or outdoor time is tended to. I am able to adjust the care as required to meet the needs of each pet. In my home I have one small 12 pound Pomeranian, who is eight and very sociable. If needed I can drop in to take care of your pets while you’re away, and with clear instructions I can ensure they’re cared for as needed.

About: Long before petsitting became a commoditized business, Debbie Ozarko was on the Ottawa scene bringing joy to the lives of dogs and their people with her dog walking service, "We Take the Dogs Out" in 2000. This eventually morphed into, "It’s a Ruff Life Doggie Daycare" which thrived until her move to the British Columbia coast in 2013. Her love for such beautiful intimacy with animals has only deepened over time, and with her return to the Ottawa area she is eager to offer her exceptional services once again. Debbie is also a long-time volunteer with the Rideau Valley Wildlife Sanctuary and the IFAW Northern Dogs Project. Animals truly are her life. Debbie brings it back to what is most meaningful for all: respect, integrity and generosity of spirit—for you, and for your furry, fuzzy and feathered animal companions. Animals are my life! It doesn't matter if they are residents are not, they are all treated with love, kindness, respect, and compassion. My schedule is constructed around their needs first. I have access to several quiet areas where field, forest and streams abound for off-leash romps. If dogs are better with on-leash walks, I'm happy to take them to green spaces where they have access to lots of sniffing to satiate that deep primal canine need. I also provide healthy, grain-free treats...just because. Of course, I offer only these with your approval beforehand.

About: I have always had a dog since I can remember growing up we always had Labrador retrieversI love spending my time outdoors especially with furry friends. Since buying my own place a couple years ago we have added to our fur family. Many household and barn pets. I am super confident with animals and have a passion to spend time with them. I am currently offering hours daily. Monday: 6pm-8pm Tuesday: 6pm-8pm Wednesday: 8am-5pm Thursday: 6pm-8pm Saturday: 7am-12pm Please let me know if you need diff ent or more availability. I am happy to work with all my clients to accommodate their needs. I am lots of space to keep pets, a huge grassed yard with a gate closer to the driveway to keep all animals contained. I have 2 dogs that will accompany me on some walks / drop in visits.
