I currently have two young rescued huskies and two cats! I walk, groom, feed, and train my animals. I have fostered two dogs, one which was a palliative case. I am comfortable giving medication and other medical care (ie: ear cleaning). I have been paid to board two dogs by a private client and had them as clients for a year. With the dog rescue I volunteer with, I have provided transport for dogs ranging in personality. I work full time from home, Monday - Friday. With my own dogs, they receive 4 walks per day (2 hours total), along with 30 mins of playtime. We visit a private fenced dog park. I spend most of my free time with my dogs. I am also heavily involved with an Ottawa based dog rescue. I transport dogs, have fostered, and do short term dog sitting for fosters. My dogs are fitted with a harness and I use a waist belt to walk them. No dropped leashes! Unless you have a preference, for safety, your dog would be double leashed - one waist belt and one slip lead. I have double front doors, helping to prevent any escaped dogs. I own two huskies so am very familiar with escape artists. Any toys or bones given (strictly only with request or permission from owner) will only be with the dog when supervised (helps to prevent obstructions & other possible injuries) I have a completely fenced backyard. However, your dog would still be supervised while outside. We will not meet other dogs while walking unless you would like your dog to. Proper communication will be used with other dog owners and off leash dogs will not be allowed to approach. This keeps all parties safe and comfortable.

On my off days I spend time cuddling with the kitties or walking/caring for my in-laws pup, Daisy. Currently I am unable to board animals due to limited space, but I’m more than happy to adjust to the needs of your pet in your home. I’m comfortable with crates, cleaning litter boxes, changing pee pads, bathing and grooming, and am open to learn the routines of your pets.
About: I have always had a dog in my world. Being outside with them, and going on nature walks is the best; along with all the smiles and comfort they bring! No matter the distance, time spent outdoors with a pup always brings so much joy. At this time Thursday-Saturday evenings are best for over-nights. Weekends are also a time when I am free. If there were to be additional needed time given, I could potentially be available. I am also available for drop-ins and walks weekdays after 3:00 p.m. I would make sure that they have time to play around outside and then have a nap inside :) more outside time afterwards of course! I would play with them inside and give treats and meals as indicated from owner. With having two labs I understand dietary needs and can aid to those needs as-well.
About: Lifetime dog Mom. We have boarded dogs from 1 night to 20 nights so far. We have had Mini and teacup poodles, Dachshunds, Goldens, Labs, Labradoodles, Bichons, Schnauzers and other mixed breeds. We have great relationships with all of our pet families. We are a family of four, my husband and I have been in Richmond for 27 years in the same home. We live in a bungalow with a fenced yard. I’ve done pet and house sitting for friends and family for years. Our primary interest is in hosting low or non-shedding dogs. Doodles, poodles, schnauzers, dachshunds, GMD, you get the idea. We love small to medium breeds. But check with me because I do love them all and would be willing to try any breed. I like to arrange a meet and greet and have a trial stay before committing to a long term 1-2 week stay. Our family has taken many roads trips and brought our own dogs with us over many years, now we are avid campers/glampers (travel trailer) and, when our customers approve, we have taken some of our furry guests with us. We understand both your concerns and your needs for a worry free time away. We are ready to care for your pet and give you peace of mind while away. Please note that we may take dogs from 2 families at one time during busy seasons and are well set up to manage this. Our home is a relaxed space and we always make sure the furry guests are kept stress free. I work full-time (mostly remotely) - when I have to be in the office I make arrangements with my sons to help out with dog walking and check-ins. My days ebb and flow. I can take the time necessary to get up early with your dog and get them walked, fed and settled before I start my day. I often have breaks during the day and can take them out a couple of times per day as necessary. We also have a fenced yard and a dog door to our large deck and yard. My pet sitting style is to give dogs lots of play, attention, snuggly places to nap and enough love so they don’t miss you too much while you’re away - hoping you and your pet will be comfortable never stressed. I can care for your furry family members in my home or in yours. I know it helps dogs and cats feel less stressed when they can stay home, follow their routines and be in safe and familiar surroundings.
About: I have had dogs for many years. Now that I am retired I am looking to giving back and helping other pet owners. I know that time is limited and sometimes you just need some help. Given my years of experience and my love of dogs, helping dog owners seemed the natural fit. It is a win/win....you get some much needed help and I get to enjoy being with your canine friend! About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember, and I’ve been caring for them since I was 12 years old. Growing up, I often looked after my neighbours’ cats, dogs, and rabbits while they were away - something i relished, as I wasn't allowed my own pet in the house (excluding fish, which i had many- i took what i could get!). About: We're in the process of opening a kennel on our 27 acre homestead, until then, we're here on Rover! Let us give your pets an enriching experience while you're away, and you peace of mind that they are in not one but two sets of good hands. Our dog Styx loves all pets, big and small, but we also have experience and infrastructure for some personal space if your pet takes a little longer to warm up or has special needs. We are currently building a kennel on our wooded retreat, and in the meantime, our home is open! We are home full-time and spend our days outside tending to the property, bringing your pets along, with lots of water and indoor breaks. About: I’ve had tons of different animals growing up. Recently had to euthanize my 15 year old family boarder collie. Also an English bull dog who passed away at two due to breathing issues. I miss having a dog around, however am not ready to adopt my own just yet. Would love to have them over here and there. I Absolutely adore dogs! I currently work from home so I am always here to take care and love your animal! Will walk, feed, cuddle them and if permitted, take them where me and my family go, weather it’s a walk to the park or beach! We will love and care for your pet as our own. We have a backyard for them to pee/poo as well as a pool if they can swim. Will go on walks! I have two children who adore animals who are very gentle so we will all be spending lots of time together. Dog must be kid friendly though.
