I'm comfortable administering oral medications (pills and oral syringes), checking for and safely removing ticks after walks, wiping muddy or snowy paws, towel-drying after rain or swimming, cleaning food and water bowls, and handling the occasional "oopsie" with patience and good humour. I pay close attention to changes in appetite, mobility, energy, or behaviour and will let you know promptly if anything seems unusual. I love a brisk walk for my own health benefits and I know from past experience that my dogs always benefited from the same. Whether it was a better sleep or better appetite or being better behaved and ultimately more healthy, a good walk was the answer. I know from being busy in the past, I wasn't always able to get out regularly with my furry friends. If that is you, then that is where I come in to help and keep those walks regular.

In terms of activity, I will gear this towards what I know about your dog and what you prefer they do! Should this be walks, runs or play time outdoors, I am willing to meet your needs. We are an active household would love nothing more than to spend time outdoors with your pup! *Please note, for larger older dogs, that I live in a 3 story townhome. Should your pup be too big to carry and incapable of doing several sets of steps, this may not be the home for you :) As I prepare to study for my legal Licensing exams, I will be home all for the next six months to give your pup all the love and attention they deserve! Should there be an occasion where I must go out, my partner may stay home from work to accommodate! Despite my need to study, I love being active and so does my partner! Should your dog require extra walks or exercise, we would love to have them join us ! At minimum, we will include your furry friend on 3 large walks a day. Please continue reading for a description of our daily schedule: Morning: My partner and myself both wake up by about 7am. My partner typically leaves early, while I will be home to study and care for your furry friends. In the morning I will grab coffee and go for a walk of about 30 minutes before 8am, letting your pup out to pee as needed beforehand. Afternoon: In the afternoon, I often aim to go for about 1 hour of a walk minimum. I will go through the forest or alongside our neighborhood which is a quiet and less populated area of Ottawa. In doing so, there is plenty of room and opportunity to roam around should your pup enjoy such activities. Evening: Before dinner, I often like to walk for about 20 minutes prior to giving dinner. After we have all eaten, myself and my partner typically walk for about 45 minutes to one hour. In the evening, we enjoy down time at home, often reading or watching TV. Your furry friend will hang out with us! Before bed, there will be opportunity for one last walk or at least a pee! ** Note that walks and breaks will be given generously throughout the day. There will never be more than a 1-2 hour period without an outdoor break. Myself and my partner are both young professionals. My partner works as an IT consultant in a hybrid model while I work and study from home! We reside in a three story townhome, with ample room for your pup to run free and explore. There is nowhere in our home that is off limits to animals. We do not have a closed in backyard, but rather have our pee breaks in front of the home which faces a large forest and field. When I care for others pets, I typically set alarms for a walk or pee every 45 minutes to 1 hours. This ensures a check in or small pee break will never be forgotten in case of animals not knowing where to alert to go outside. With this in mind, I often take large and longer walks in between pee breaks in order to better break up the day. Please see the Schedule section to see a predicted daily schedule. Despite this, we are active individuals who love to walk and explore, ensuring your pup will have lots of opportunities to pee and explore as they wish 🐶. Please note, we have plenty of room for a crate should your dog require, but we do not posses one at the moment!

About: I've been around animals from a very young age. I've always loved spending time with them and taking care of them. People who know me have said that my calm nature attracts all the animals. I've done pet sitting for free for all my friends and families just for the love of it. I have experience in training puppies, taking care of senior pets and pets with high needs in need of accomodations.
