About: We're in the process of opening a kennel on our 27 acre homestead, until then, we're here on Rover! Let us give your pets an enriching experience while you're away, and you peace of mind that they are in not one but two sets of good hands. Our dog Styx loves all pets, big and small, but we also have experience and infrastructure for some personal space if your pet takes a little longer to warm up or has special needs. We are currently building a kennel on our wooded retreat, and in the meantime, our home is open! We are home full-time and spend our days outside tending to the property, bringing your pets along, with lots of water and indoor breaks. We have a fenced yard and the house is able to be segmented off depending on the needs (puppy pen, cat area with dogs, cat area dog free, day crated, whatever your comfort is.

I have a dog-friendly vehicle and would be happy to take your pup on little adventures with your permission! This could include a trip to the Starbucks drive-thru for a Puppuccino, a visit to a local park, or a doggy playdate if your dog enjoys socializing. Every outing is tailored to your dog’s personality and comfort level. Adventure add-ons are available for an additional charge.

I cared for him a lot during old age, so I have experience in giving medication, care, attention, etc. I love dogs, they have a special place in my heart I work from home, which leaves me very free and flexible to give all of my attention to your pet. About: I have had dogs for many years. Now that I am retired I am looking to giving back and helping other pet owners. I know that time is limited and sometimes you just need some help. Given my years of experience and my love of dogs, helping dog owners seemed the natural fit. It is a win/win....you get some much needed help and I get to enjoy being with your canine friend! I walk everyday as part of my active lifestyle and love to meet and greet dogs along the way. Seems like the perfect fit to invite your dog along for a scenic walk around the area. I love a brisk walk for my own health benefits and I know from past experience that my dogs always benefited from the same. Whether it was a better sleep or better appetite or being better behaved and ultimately more healthy, a good walk was the answer. I know from being busy in the past, I wasn't always able to get out regularly with my furry friends. If that is you, then that is where I come in to help and keep those walks regular.

About: Dogs, cats, rabbits … I’ve cared for a variety of animals since I was young child. Mom of two kids who loves cuddles and going for walks. I have always had dogs and pets in my home, currently mom to two kids and one 11 year old cattle dog (think Bluey). Experience with puppies also! I am certified in first aid and CPR for your pets and have experience giving oral medication. Let me know if you have certain expectations for updates or pictures you would like to receive as I want to do whatever I can to help ease your mind while caring for your pet. I can help give your pet social interactions, walking for exercise or just extra cuddles while you're away. My schedule is flexible, if something you need isn’t listed (or availability) please message me as I can usually work something out. Daytime is my most available. As a mom of two kids, I always ensure safety is top priority for everyone. I will only walk animals on a leash to be safe and always check for ticks after coming back from walks. I have experience with medication for animals and CPR for animals.

About: I have owned and cared for dogs, cats, rabbits and ferrets my whole life. I enjoy the physical aspect of having furry friends around as well as the companionship! There is nothing I do not enjoy about caring for and spending time with animals! I have experience with a variety of animals and breeds of various ages and stages of their life. I am extremely capable of administering medications, treatments or any other plan you may have your pup on. In terms of activity, I will gear this towards what I know about your dog and what you prefer they do! Should this be walks, runs or play time outdoors, I am willing to meet your needs. We are an active household would love nothing more than to spend time outdoors with your pup! *Please note, for larger older dogs, that I live in a 3 story townhome. Should your pup be too big to carry and incapable of doing several sets of steps, this may not be the home for you :) As I prepare to study for my legal Licensing exams, I will be home all for the next six months to give your pup all the love and attention they deserve! Should there be an occasion where I must go out, my partner may stay home from work to accommodate! Despite my need to study, I love being active and so does my partner! Should your dog require extra walks or exercise, we would love to have them join us ! At minimum, we will include your furry friend on 3 large walks a day. Please continue reading for a description of our daily schedule: Morning: My partner and myself both wake up by about 7am. My partner typically leaves early, while I will be home to study and care for your furry friends. In the morning I will grab coffee and go for a walk of about 30 minutes before 8am, letting your pup out to pee as needed beforehand. Afternoon: In the afternoon, I often aim to go for about 1 hour of a walk minimum. I will go through the forest or alongside our neighborhood which is a quiet and less populated area of Ottawa. In doing so, there is plenty of room and opportunity to roam around should your pup enjoy such activities. Evening: Before dinner, I often like to walk for about 20 minutes prior to giving dinner. After we have all eaten, myself and my partner typically walk for about 45 minutes to one hour. In the evening, we enjoy down time at home, often reading or watching TV. Your furry friend will hang out with us! Before bed, there will be opportunity for one last walk or at least a pee! ** Note that walks and breaks will be given generously throughout the day. There will never be more than a 1-2 hour period without an outdoor break. Myself and my partner are both young professionals. My partner works as an IT consultant in a hybrid model while I work and study from home! We reside in a three story townhome, with ample room for your pup to run free and explore. There is nowhere in our home that is off limits to animals. We do not have a closed in backyard, but rather have our pee breaks in front of the home which faces a large forest and field. When I care for others pets, I typically set alarms for a walk or pee every 45 minutes to 1 hours. This ensures a check in or small pee break will never be forgotten in case of animals not knowing where to alert to go outside. With this in mind, I often take large and longer walks in between pee breaks in order to better break up the day. Please see the Schedule section to see a predicted daily schedule. Despite this, we are active individuals who love to walk and explore, ensuring your pup will have lots of opportunities to pee and explore as they wish 🐶. Please note, we have plenty of room for a crate should your dog require, but we do not posses one at the moment!

I have experience with cats, dogs, hamsters, and fish, and I’m comfortable with pets of all temperaments. I’ve provided advanced care for cats and dogs, including tube feeding, wound care, and grooming sensitive areas. I’ve also worked in a veterinary clinic assisting with common procedures. I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely love spending time with animals—whether that’s playing, grooming, or just giving them lots of affection. I currently work late nights at a bar on the weekends and clean during the weekdays. In my home, I regularly groom my cats and dog and give my senior dog extra care for her sensitive skin and allergies. In both my home and a client’s home, I keep things calm and safe and follow the pet’s usual routine as closely as possible. About: Long before petsitting became a commoditized business, Debbie Ozarko was on the Ottawa scene bringing joy to the lives of dogs and their people with her dog walking service, "We Take the Dogs Out" in 2000. This eventually morphed into, "It’s a Ruff Life Doggie Daycare" which thrived until her move to the British Columbia coast in 2013. Her love for such beautiful intimacy with animals has only deepened over time, and with her return to the Ottawa area she is eager to offer her exceptional services once again. Debbie is also a long-time volunteer with the Rideau Valley Wildlife Sanctuary and the IFAW Northern Dogs Project. Animals truly are her life. Debbie brings it back to what is most meaningful for all: respect, integrity and generosity of spirit—for you, and for your furry, fuzzy and feathered animal companions. Animals are my life! It doesn't matter if they are residents are not, they are all treated with love, kindness, respect, and compassion. My schedule is constructed around their needs first. I have access to several quiet areas where field, forest and streams abound for off-leash romps. If dogs are better with on-leash walks, I'm happy to take them to green spaces where they have access to lots of sniffing to satiate that deep primal canine need. I also provide healthy, grain-free treats...just because. Of course, I offer only these with your approval beforehand.
