About: I’m calm, intuitive, active, and experienced. I normally take long walks more than 19km a week and would love to walk dogs with me in mind of their fitness levels. I approach pet care with a focus on empathy and environmental awareness. I’ve spent years caring for neighbors' and family’s cats and dogs, and I’ve developed a deep understanding of animal behavior. I recognize that pets are highly in tune with their surroundings and their handlers. I believe in respectful communication and maintaining the strict routines that help animals feel safe. As an independent creative professional working from a dedicated home studio, my daily routine is completely flexible and built around active, outdoor lifestyle habits. I specialize in providing an incredibly attentive, active environment for pets ensuring they receive constant companionship throughout the day and plenty of dedicated exercise tailored to their energy levels. I live in a peaceful rural setting with plenty of fresh air and open space. I have a basement with direct backyard access, providing a cool, quiet retreat for pets. While my yard is unfenced, I am an experienced endurance walker and am always attentive to leashed safety and strict routines to ensure every pet feels secure in their environment.

About: I'm 22, I've had animals my entire existence including reptiles. I live on 4 acres of mostly fenced in yard for your babies to run around. I'm flexible on anything you need for your babies. (And I can babysit your reptiles) I currently have no job but I'm looking for a part-time so I can continue to focus on meeting all sorts of new animals that need somewhere to snooze and play. I have a mostly fenced yard, three doggos that are super friendly to everything. I have experience with vet medicine and crate training. I have LOTS of safe dog toys that need to be played with.

About: We're in the process of opening a kennel on our 27 acre homestead, until then, we're here on Rover! Let us give your pets an enriching experience while you're away, and you peace of mind that they are in not one but two sets of good hands. Our dog Styx loves all pets, big and small, but we also have experience and infrastructure for some personal space if your pet takes a little longer to warm up or has special needs. We are currently building a kennel on our wooded retreat, and in the meantime, our home is open! We are home full-time and spend our days outside tending to the property, bringing your pets along, with lots of water and indoor breaks. We have a fenced yard and the house is able to be segmented off depending on the needs (puppy pen, cat area with dogs, cat area dog free, day crated, whatever your comfort is.

About: My name is Samantha and I've been a lifelong lover of all creatures great and small! I am currently a mom to a 8 year old miniature schnauzer, but I've had a kitty or dog companion by my side my entire life. I'm new to Mississippi Mills and I would love to meet your pet. Friends in Ottawa have relied on me to check in on their fur babies, take them for walks, feed them dinner, or simply spend time with them! I'm very reliable, I work from home 4 out of 5 week days, have a car, am flexible and adaptive. I work from home 4 out of 5 days of the week and am typically available on evenings and weekends. If your pup likes other pups I can have them join in on my routine walks with my little schnauzer. If not, that's cool too! I'm always down for a solo walk. I will do whatever it takes to make sure your furry baby will be well taken care of! I can be trusted to do drop in visits, spend time petting, playing with, feeding or walking your baby.

About: I have had dogs for many years. Now that I am retired I am looking to giving back and helping other pet owners. I know that time is limited and sometimes you just need some help. Given my years of experience and my love of dogs, helping dog owners seemed the natural fit. It is a win/win....you get some much needed help and I get to enjoy being with your canine friend! I walk everyday as part of my active lifestyle and love to meet and greet dogs along the way. Seems like the perfect fit to invite your dog along for a scenic walk around the area. I love a brisk walk for my own health benefits and I know from past experience that my dogs always benefited from the same. Whether it was a better sleep or better appetite or being better behaved and ultimately more healthy, a good walk was the answer. I know from being busy in the past, I wasn't always able to get out regularly with my furry friends. If that is you, then that is where I come in to help and keep those walks regular.

About: Hi! I’m Adrienne. Caring for animals has always been something I genuinely enjoy, whether that’s going for long walks, providing companionship, or making sure they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I currently own two amazing dogs - a 9-year-old German Shepherd and a 4-year-old Alaskan Malamute mix - so I’m very familiar with caring for large, active breeds and understanding that every dog has their own unique personality and needs. I’m an active, reliable, and organized person who loves spending time outdoors. Whether your dog enjoys leisurely neighbourhood strolls, longer walks on local trails, or simply having someone to keep them company, I’d be happy to help. I have experience with dog walking, pet sitting, and caring for both dogs and cats, and I always treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to give you peace of mind while providing your pets with the love, attention, and care they deserve. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family members! About: I have owned and cared for dogs, cats, rabbits and ferrets my whole life. I enjoy the physical aspect of having furry friends around as well as the companionship! There is nothing I do not enjoy about caring for and spending time with animals! I have experience with a variety of animals and breeds of various ages and stages of their life. I am extremely capable of administering medications, treatments or any other plan you may have your pup on. In terms of activity, I will gear this towards what I know about your dog and what you prefer they do! Should this be walks, runs or play time outdoors, I am willing to meet your needs. We are an active household would love nothing more than to spend time outdoors with your pup! *Please note, for larger older dogs, that I live in a 3 story townhome. Should your pup be too big to carry and incapable of doing several sets of steps, this may not be the home for you :) As I prepare to study for my legal Licensing exams, I will be home all for the next six months to give your pup all the love and attention they deserve! Should there be an occasion where I must go out, my partner may stay home from work to accommodate! Despite my need to study, I love being active and so does my partner! Should your dog require extra walks or exercise, we would love to have them join us ! At minimum, we will include your furry friend on 3 large walks a day. Please continue reading for a description of our daily schedule: Morning: My partner and myself both wake up by about 7am. My partner typically leaves early, while I will be home to study and care for your furry friends. In the morning I will grab coffee and go for a walk of about 30 minutes before 8am, letting your pup out to pee as needed beforehand. Afternoon: In the afternoon, I often aim to go for about 1 hour of a walk minimum. I will go through the forest or alongside our neighborhood which is a quiet and less populated area of Ottawa. In doing so, there is plenty of room and opportunity to roam around should your pup enjoy such activities. Evening: Before dinner, I often like to walk for about 20 minutes prior to giving dinner. After we have all eaten, myself and my partner typically walk for about 45 minutes to one hour. In the evening, we enjoy down time at home, often reading or watching TV. Your furry friend will hang out with us! Before bed, there will be opportunity for one last walk or at least a pee! ** Note that walks and breaks will be given generously throughout the day. There will never be more than a 1-2 hour period without an outdoor break. Myself and my partner are both young professionals. My partner works as an IT consultant in a hybrid model while I work and study from home! We reside in a three story townhome, with ample room for your pup to run free and explore. There is nowhere in our home that is off limits to animals. We do not have a closed in backyard, but rather have our pee breaks in front of the home which faces a large forest and field. When I care for others pets, I typically set alarms for a walk or pee every 45 minutes to 1 hours. This ensures a check in or small pee break will never be forgotten in case of animals not knowing where to alert to go outside. With this in mind, I often take large and longer walks in between pee breaks in order to better break up the day. Please see the Schedule section to see a predicted daily schedule. Despite this, we are active individuals who love to walk and explore, ensuring your pup will have lots of opportunities to pee and explore as they wish 🐶. Please note, we have plenty of room for a crate should your dog require, but we do not posses one at the moment!

About: Long before petsitting became a commoditized business, Debbie Ozarko was on the Ottawa scene bringing joy to the lives of dogs and their people with her dog walking service, "We Take the Dogs Out" in 2000. This eventually morphed into, "It’s a Ruff Life Doggie Daycare" which thrived until her move to the British Columbia coast in 2013. Her love for such beautiful intimacy with animals has only deepened over time, and with her return to the Ottawa area she is eager to offer her exceptional services once again. Debbie is also a long-time volunteer with the Rideau Valley Wildlife Sanctuary and the IFAW Northern Dogs Project. Animals truly are her life. Debbie brings it back to what is most meaningful for all: respect, integrity and generosity of spirit—for you, and for your furry, fuzzy and feathered animal companions. Animals are my life! It doesn't matter if they are residents are not, they are all treated with love, kindness, respect, and compassion. My schedule is constructed around their needs first. I have access to several quiet areas where field, forest and streams abound for off-leash romps. If dogs are better with on-leash walks, I'm happy to take them to green spaces where they have access to lots of sniffing to satiate that deep primal canine need. I also provide healthy, grain-free treats...just because. Of course, I offer only these with your approval beforehand.
