“Trudy did a fantastic job! The kitties were very well taken care of and they barely knew I was gone. Lol she is a great communicator and was able to send me lots of pictures and video. It makes such a big difference to see those when you’re missing them but can see that they’re good.”

About: When I was 10 years old, I welcomed a beautiful chocolate lab pup into my home. She was my best friend until she passed away in September of 2025. Since her passing, I have felt a void in caring for and loving dogs. I work as a Bylaw enforcement officer in the City of Ottawa and work extensively with dogs, cats, and wildlife. Through my work experience I have met and cared for hundreds of different dogs with their own unique personalities and behaviours. Considering my personal life and work experience, I think potential clients and I would mutually benefit from me caring for and looking after their dogs. I work shift work on a staggered schedule, with my primary shifts being 6am until 5pm, and 3pm until 2am. I have several weekdays off when most people work, which is opportune for me to take care of their animals when needed. As a dog owner for 13 years, I learned how to make my pet comfortable, loved, and adapted to her needs. Through my work experience, this is has been strengthened further through interacting with dogs and animals that I did not previously know. I’m compassionate towards my love of dogs and I would love to care for and interact with more.
“When we met Kimberly for a meet and greet we felt comfortable instantly. You could tell she is very caring and loved our cats and our cats loved her. She was professional, reliable and kept the house and our pet areas just like we left them. We highly recommend her”

About: I love animals and enjoy every moment with them. My dream is to be able to have a rescue as all four of my animals are from rescues. I have decreased my hours at work to be back home more due to the rising cost of gas. I have more time to take on these duties. Every situation is different. You respect the same trust and safety for every pet weather is yours or someone else's. For dogs always leashed as you never know the situation of a pet.
About: About Ricardo I have over 8 years of experience as a dog sitter, walker and Behaviorist in Mexico. I’ve had dogs since I was a child, and I’ve always had a natural ability to understand and connect with them. Over 10 years ago, when my dog Horchata joined my life, she was energetic and needed guidance. I took a diploma in Spain to learn how to help her become balanced and confident. Later, friends began asking me to care for their dogs while they travelled, and they were impressed to see how their pets improved after staying with me for a few weeks. That experience motivated me to dedicate my life to dog care, something I enjoy. I currently work as a Kennel Assistant, caring for dogs of all ages and personalities. This role gives me hands-on experience with routines, enrichment, feeding, safety, and observing behavior changes. I have availability on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to care and/or for a great walk. Although I live in an apartment, I know the value of frequent walks and I take them seriously. I stay attentive to each dog’s needs and adapt to their routine and personality. I’m available every day and almost all the time since I work from home, which makes this the perfect activity for me. I recently left a two-year job to dedicate myself fully to pet care again. Although I live in an apartment, I know how important frequent walks are, and I take them seriously. I always stay attentive to each dog’s needs and can easily adapt to every pup’s routine and personality.

About: Hi, I'm April! I've been a dog and cat Mom for over 15 years. My husband and I rescue senior smaller dogs as well as foster for Marshall's Dog Rescue and CCRT Canadian Chihuahua Rescue and Transport. I have a ton of experience with medication, injections as well as special needs. My goal is to always make sure whatever animal I am currently looking after that they feel loved and safe. I have references if you are interested. Thanks so much and give all your fur babies some love from me :)
About: I have owned dogs all of my life, and I have had the privilege to also take care of other people's furry loved ones since I was very young. From dogs and cats, to guinea pigs and rats, and even horses and donkeys, I have been lucky enough to care for pets of all shapes and sizes. I am a devoted animal lover at heart, and always look for ways to incorporate more furbabies into my life! I have extensive experience with client services such as dog walking, dog grooming, dog/cat boarding, and animal socialization. My furdaughter Rosie Posey, is a very sassy but sweet little Corgi, that demands the utmost attention and care, so I am no stranger to dogs with high needs and spirited personalities! Rosie is itching to make new fur-friends and would love to welcome new pupper and kitter pals to our humble home (sharing only the best toys and spots to play at the parks around the neighborhood). I am equipped and happy to handle puppies, seniors, and animals with special needs or particular requirements. As a service standard, I guarantee that your furbaby will have 1 on 1 attention, oodles of social time, extensive exercise, and constant care. I also provide regular photo and video updates, because you deserve peace of mind, and your furbaby deserves a great time! I am lucky enough to work entirely from home, and only 4 days a week (Tuesday-Friday). This affords me wonderful work/life balance, and the flexibility to be there for your furbaby always, taking multiple park, walk, and play breaks throughout the day. As a daily standard, Rosie and I will visit our neighborhood park at least twice a day to socialize and play, on top of going on several walks in between, and playing at home. Calling the Glebe home, I am lucky to live in one of the most beautiful, safe, and animal friendly neighborhoods in the city. Though I live in a one-bedroom apartment on the 8th floor of a small high-rise, my home is very cozy and welcoming (especially for dogs and cats!). I have a beautiful outdoor balcony space with a wonderful view for furpals to relax on, and a spacious indoor area with multiple dog beds, lots of dog toys, and a pet friendly couch and king bed (I have a corgi-approved ramp for access). Your furbabies will feel right at home with Rosie and have a pal to play and lounge with at all times. Additionally, my neighbourhood is surrounded by safe walking paths, and extensive green park spaces, featuring multiple dog parks within a few minutes walk, and a very friendly dog community (Rosie will make the proper introductions to her best pals). Rest-assured that your furbaby will be in a stimulating, yet safe environment, and get lots of exercise and social time!
About: I am a dog loving person who decided to offer dog boarding because when I was in need of a dog sitter, I was referred to this site. Being new to the area, I would love to help other dog parents in need. Wilbur, our fur baby, loves all dogs. I live two blocks from the water front and many parks around. I work from home so there will always be someone here to keep the fur babies company. Guaranteed 2-3 long walks per day. I have a studio apartment so only able to take small to medium size dogs at this time.
“Alecia took wonderful care of my cats! She was friendly and considerate and kept me informed about how it was going. I loved seeing pictures at each check in and was amazed at how my shy boy even warmed up to her. I would absolutely recommend Alecia and would rebook her without hesitation!”

About: I have been caring for animals my whole life, I started within my own household and once I was old enough I started dog walking after school, into adulthood I have taken my fair share of dog sitting jobs and walking when I have had the chance. I have some spare time now that I’d like to fill with surrounding myself with animals again. I work part time, and on my days off I’m looking for a Job that brings me happiness, so no better way than surrounding myself with fur babies and helping support them when their parents are busy. I will care for your pet as if it were my own, animals have a very special place in my heart and they deserve the best care possible.
About: I’ve been house and pet-sitting since I was 16. Always making sure my friends and family can step away with zero stress and their fur babies are the star of the show! I’ve taken care of small to medium sized mostly, but large dogs a few times. No matter where I go, pets gravitate towards me! My schedule is very flexible and I have great knowledge of the city with reliable transportation. I play sports in the evening a few days a week but nothing that can’t be worked around I will ensure I study the area my clients live in and discuss the areas and routines your pets are accustomed to. Also, the type words they respond to. I always want to ensure they will feel safe and comfortable.
About: I have owned and cared for dogs, cats, rabbits and ferrets my whole life. I enjoy the physical aspect of having furry friends around as well as the companionship! There is nothing I do not enjoy about caring for and spending time with animals! I have experience with a variety of animals and breeds of various ages and stages of their life. I am extremely capable of administering medications, treatments or any other plan you may have your pup on. In terms of activity, I will gear this towards what I know about your dog and what you prefer they do! Should this be walks, runs or play time outdoors, I am willing to meet your needs. We are an active household would love nothing more than to spend time outdoors with your pup! *Please note, for larger older dogs, that I live in a 3 story townhome. Should your pup be too big to carry and incapable of doing several sets of steps, this may not be the home for you :) As I prepare to study for my legal Licensing exams, I will be home all for the next six months to give your pup all the love and attention they deserve! Should there be an occasion where I must go out, my partner may stay home from work to accommodate! Despite my need to study, I love being active and so does my partner! Should your dog require extra walks or exercise, we would love to have them join us ! At minimum, we will include your furry friend on 3 large walks a day. Please continue reading for a description of our daily schedule: Morning: My partner and myself both wake up by about 7am. My partner typically leaves early, while I will be home to study and care for your furry friends. In the morning I will grab coffee and go for a walk of about 30 minutes before 8am, letting your pup out to pee as needed beforehand. Afternoon: In the afternoon, I often aim to go for about 1 hour of a walk minimum. I will go through the forest or alongside our neighborhood which is a quiet and less populated area of Ottawa. In doing so, there is plenty of room and opportunity to roam around should your pup enjoy such activities. Evening: Before dinner, I often like to walk for about 20 minutes prior to giving dinner. After we have all eaten, myself and my partner typically walk for about 45 minutes to one hour. In the evening, we enjoy down time at home, often reading or watching TV. Your furry friend will hang out with us! Before bed, there will be opportunity for one last walk or at least a pee! ** Note that walks and breaks will be given generously throughout the day. There will never be more than a 1-2 hour period without an outdoor break. Myself and my partner are both young professionals. My partner works as an IT consultant in a hybrid model while I work and study from home! We reside in a three story townhome, with ample room for your pup to run free and explore. There is nowhere in our home that is off limits to animals. We do not have a closed in backyard, but rather have our pee breaks in front of the home which faces a large forest and field. When I care for others pets, I typically set alarms for a walk or pee every 45 minutes to 1 hours. This ensures a check in or small pee break will never be forgotten in case of animals not knowing where to alert to go outside. With this in mind, I often take large and longer walks in between pee breaks in order to better break up the day. Please see the Schedule section to see a predicted daily schedule. Despite this, we are active individuals who love to walk and explore, ensuring your pup will have lots of opportunities to pee and explore as they wish 🐶. Please note, we have plenty of room for a crate should your dog require, but we do not posses one at the moment!

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Arnprior choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
