I've worked from home / remotely for decades. This gives our furry guests full access to me - they love to hang out with me in my office or find a favourite spot of their own - very often with a window view ;) We have plenty of time for outdoor fresh air walks and potty breaks.

I do not have a fenced yard but do have a 10x20 enclosure so fur guests remain on leash when we are outside or on the trails – and have the option of hanging out with me loose in the shaded run outside when I’m gardening. Welcome on sofa, doggie day bed, furniture (unless you don't allow that in your own home and prefer they not have free reign) I will gladly accept up to 2 pets from the same home. I work from home and take Elska (our Mini Aussie) out several times a day - which would be the same for your fur baby/babies! Valid Canine Emergency First Aid Everything depends on the specifics of your puppers ... depending on the size / breed. Some guests prefer a crate - in this case, I will crate as instructed.

Knowing if your dog has any particular behaviours will help us help him or her feel comfortable and keep everyone safe. Favourite toys are welcome, and I'm totally open to providing the same type of stimulation, routine, rules as your fur baby receives at home. When I housesit or do drop ins - please provide details for any plant watering, mail pick up, garbage take out, snow removal, power failure instructions etc The Rover app does not allow me to specify different service radius areas – I have this set to 40km from my home in Arnprior; however, walks and drop ins outside of Arnprior local may incur agreed upon travel / km fees, which would be discussed and approved by you before finalizing your booking. I am happy to accommodate meet and greets prior to housesitting and drop ins – many clients offer to pay for my time to come out in this case. If I am in the area / passing through I do not charge; however, there may be a cost associated with time required a special trip. Virtual video calls are also an option 😊 For house sitting in your home, my dog Elska is always ready to travel and a great guest – however, if your requirements are that your pets need one on one attention without an extra pup around – he stays with my family. In many cases, clients like the idea of having a ‘fur-friend’ over so their pets can have playtime and new fun company. It is totally your call.
A typical day
We like to stretch our legs and work off extra energy in the Grove and along the waterfront trails at Robert Simpson Park and Galilee Centre. Some guests are more 'helpful' when I'm gardening in my yard, so there's a large 10x20 free run, shaded kennel they can enjoy. We have done a lot of camping nearby and have our own camper trailer - lots of outdoor time together!

As a life-long pet owner I know exactly what I want for my fur baby while I am away: a loving, caring home where my pet's needs and routines are #1. As a previous doggie foster-mom and current dog sitter, me and my resident dog accommodates the needs of our fur-guests and offer a home away from home with lots of love, playtime, in and outs and walks on the beautiful trail directly across from our house and through our lovely Grove in Arnprior.

Trudy did a fantastic job! The kitties were very well taken care of and they barely knew I was gone. Lol she is a great communicator and was able to send me lots of pictures and video. It makes such a big difference to see those when you’re missing them but can see that they’re good.
Trudy took care of our dog Maple for 6 days/5 nights. It was our first time leaving Maple with someone else. We were very pleased with how Trudy kept us updated by texts and sending pictures. When we picked Maple up she was happy and comfortable and Trudy even thought her a new trick! We will definitely get Trudy to babysit Maple again!
Trudy does an excellent job, my dogs love her and I can travel with zero worries!
