“Kind, caring, and excellent communication through throughout Indigo’s stay. Photos were wonderful to ease my mind- Indigo was in great hands (and having a great time!). I appreciate the responses to my many questions, and also that last minute request being honoured. It really helped me out in the pinch! Wish I lived closer to leverage Cindy’s care for Indie more often :)”

“We cannot say enough wonderful things about Yingshu and Shervin! From the moment we met them, we knew our puppy, Muse, was in caring, capable, and genuinely loving hands. Available on short notice, and they went above and beyond to make sure our pup felt comfortable, happy, and well cared for while we were away. We received regular updates, photos, and messages that gave us complete peace of mind. When we picked her up, Muse was relaxed, happy, and clearly very well loved. It’s such a gift to find people you can fully trust with your pet, and we are beyond grateful for the incredible care they provided. We would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone looking for dependable, compassionate, and exceptional pet sitters. Thank you for taking such amazing care of our little Muse!”

“This was Daisy's first doggie Day Care with Nicole, Eddie and Keyser. Daisy loved her play date with Keyser, who is a husky mix. Both dogs have lots of energy and Nicole and Eddie are experienced dog owners who know how to handle active dogs. They took Daisy for lots of long walks, played ball and had some quite time with lots of cuddles. Nicole sent photos and messages to keep us up to date and reassured us Daisy was having a good time.”

“Sawyer has had a great start with Jacelyn and Jason. He has never had dog sitting before, and he has not spent a lot of time away from friends and family. With back to the office starting, we were looking for a solution and he has been really good so far. On his second visit when he hopped out of the car and realized where he was he went straight for the door, tail wagging which is a great sign. We plan to continue booking and working with them as care providers for Sawyer.”

“We could not be happier with the care that Jacqueline has provided for Duff! She knows her stuff and Duff can be nervous and reactive at times. He had a blast at "camp" and we look forward to taking him again tomorrow.”

“Jennifer was kind and warm at the meet & greet and, fortunately for me, was available to provide daycare on fairly short notice for my recently adopted older dog. I felt confident that Misty was in safe and caring hands. She came home tired and happy after a full day of fun and attention.”

“Joanna was absolutely wonderful with Archie! She was incredibly kind and caring, and Archie was so happy to see her. He settled in right away, which made us feel comfortable leaving him in her care. Joanna updated us and sent pictures, which we really appreciated. Archie was happy, relaxed, and very well cared for. We had a fantastic experience and will definitely be using Joanna’s services again.”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover living in Stittsville, Ottawa, and dogs have truly been my passion for as long as I can remember. I share my home with my own three well-socialized, crate-trained dogs and work mostly from home, so your pup will have plenty of attention, company, and care throughout the day. I have a large, fully fenced, pie-shaped yard that’s safe, clean, and perfect for playtime. Dogs in my care are treated like family — they’re welcome to sleep freely in my bedroom with my dogs, have cozy pet beds, and follow a calm, loving routine. If your dog prefers or needs a crate, you’re welcome to bring one, and I’m happy to help with crate time when I step out. I know how hard it can be to leave your pet, especially if you feel anxious about their care. My goal is to give you total peace of mind knowing your dog is safe, happy, and genuinely having a great time. Caring for dogs isn’t just something I do — it’s who I am, and one day it’s my retirement dream. For now, I’m thrilled to offer a loving home-away-from-home for your pup. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your dog like their own, feel free to reach out — I’d love to chat! I work 100% remote from home. I just go in and out for meetings and certain scheduling, but I’m rarely out of the house for longer than a few hours. Basically, aside from my job, dogs are my first priority and get the current attention. They need hourly if not minute by minute. I treat others dogs like I treat my own with love, warmth, and caring. I exercise the dogs daily and give them what they need to make sure that they’re tired out and before I ever leave the house for an hour or two if I need to, I make sure that they are let outside and that they’ve done their business so they don’t have to wait for me to get back.
About: I am a busy mother of 2 kiddos and 1 fur baby. I love animals and am working from home so I understand the care and time required to look after pets. I am always looking for a reason to spend time with animals and understand the importance of exercise for them. I have a flexible schedule and happy to help out where needed. I have had many pets growing up and my last dog passed away at 13years old. I have reacued a golden doodle and have a 6 year old golden doodle and they are my world and love to get out as much as we can. If you are ok with it I will bring them to meet your baby and they can become great friends and tire each other out so you have a well behaved, happy dog when you get home. Your dog will need to get along with other dogs, as I will most likely be bringing my dogs as well for a walk. Additionally the miniumum request is for 1 hour. I currently work from home so have lots of time to spend time with the dogs and take them out for regular breaks. Whatever requests you need I can accommodate. I'm very attentive and will ensure that your dogs are safe and cared for. I have two dogs that are the gentlest most playful loving dogs in the world.
“Faye took care of Luna so well it was amazing. Luna even got a home cooked meal, when she wasn't eating her own food. We will definitely have Luna stay with Faye and her little family again soon.”

I have such great appreciation for Trudy and can't thank her enough. My girl Lucy spent the day with Trudy and her dog and clearly had an amazing time - she fell asleep as soon as we got home and slept straight through dinner! I loved receiving photos throughout the day, they provided such peace of mind. I can't wait to bring Lucy back for another visit and highly recommend Trudy to anyone looking for exceptional and loving care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Arnprior commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ON ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 87% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 80% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 86% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
