I’ve solo-cared for my own pets for weeks at a time, and I’ve stepped in for friends and family for both short visits and extended stays. In high school, I took a veterinary prerequisite course and completed a co-op at a vet office, where I got hands-on experience caring for animals and learned how to administer medication in both pill and liquid form. My love for animals goes beyond dogs and cats - I’ve kept leopard geckos, and I grew up next to a farm where I regularly visited the retired horses just to keep them company.
