“Trudy took excellent care of our lab, Reece! She was an excellent communicator and sent us pictures of their adventures every day. Reece came home super tired, just the way we love her :) ! She can’t wait to go back to Trudy’s house to play with her new buddies. Thanks Trudy!”

“Suzanne and Adrian were the best host for our dog. Our dog chewed its leash but they were kind enough to get a replacement and a bonus toy :-). They were great in accommodating our last minute request and they were sure to give us heads up and updates of our dog every day. Keep up good job S&A”

“I had never boarded our 8 year old chocolate lab before so I was nervous to leave him. Kim made us feel comfortable with plenty of pictures and updates throughout the week. They dogs got along great, enjoyed the whole house and she even let him sleep on the bed. I can’t say enough great things about this experience. She noticed his ears were bothering him and took the time to clean them (which he doesn’t normally let anyone do but me). Thank you Kim! ❤️”

“Lynda is our go-to dog sitter for our precious Tink. She and her family care very much for their pets and include Tink in every activity. We are at ease knowing Lynda is taking care of Tink.”

“Excellent service for us and my tiny pup. Joanna is very kind and caring for the dog and was very responsive when planning and answering questions. Awesome experience.”

“Frankie and Gus had a great stay with Kirstin & Justin. They provided updates throughout their stay, were flexible with drop off and pick up times. We would definitely book with them again. They came home happy pups!”

“Nicole and Eddie provide excellent care for our dog Daisy. We are always confident that Daisy will have a great time with them and their dog Keyser. She comes home one happy and tired pup from all the playtime, activities & walks. Eddie & Nicole are also very flexible if we have to modify the booking due to unforeseen circumstances.”

“Cristina is an excepcional doggy sitter! She is truly the best❤️ she is very loving and attentive. My fur baby was in great hands. It’s hard to trust someone you just met with your family member but during the meet and greet we just knew she was the one and we were right! Thank you for taking wonderful care of cooper! We recommend her to everyone!”

About: Hey! I’ve had pets in my home my whole life (from hamsters to large breed dogs). My family fostered animals from the Ottawa Humane Society for 10 plus years. I have experience with all kids of fur babies :) I work from home Monday-Friday so I have lots of flexibilty. I live in a quiet community perfect for dog walks, and have a yard for supervised potty breaks. My home is very pet friendly. I have no issues with pet hair on furniture or the occasional mess. I have my own three legged kitty who is dog friendly. I love to give affection to pets and allow them on my furniture.
“Sarah was wonderful with my pup, Nessa. Lots of space for adventures, puppy friends to play with, lots of updates and pics. She really cares about the dogs, and wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. 2 thumbs up, 5 stars, and 10 out of 10”

“We felt very comfortable leaving Raven at Cindy’s. We will definitely rebook next time we need to go out of town. Cindy’s dogs were also very friendly and Raven returned home completely out of energy from playing so much. Highly recommended.”

“I cannot say enough good things about Jamie and Jacqueline. They take amazing care of Nelly and she always return back happy and tired, a tired dog is a happy dog! Thank you Jacqueline and Jamie”

“We left our Boston terrier Oscar with Miaozi for almost two weeks. Starting from meet and greet we absolutely love to find such a great caring and loving sitter! Honestly, it was like leaving your pet with a very long known friend or family member. Absolutely trustable and responsible, very punctual. And the most important - you feel safe and confident your pet is staying with a loving friend while you’re so faraway. I highly recommend Miaozi to anyone looking for a great sitter for your furry baby.”

“Coco loved her stay. Lots of walks, playtime, patience and love. We loved all the frequent updates and pictures. We were very please and happy that Coco was in such a great caring environment. We will defiantly rebook 👍🙏👌”

“Qianzhi is lovely! She gave me regular updates and sent pics and videos of Louie. I felt comfortable leaving Louie with Qianzhi and would definitely book with her again.”

“Gus just had his second stay with Lei and the bond they have is beautiful. It is obvious that they understand each other and have a connection. Gus is very happy and feels safe when in her care. We are so lucky to have found someone who loves our Gus as much as we do.”

“Sunny was staying with Hui’s family. She is great! super friendly and caring. Her little dog & kitty were also very welcoming to Sunny. Sunny loved their backyard. We had great experience and will definitely ask for her help in future too”

“Ruby and Gordon are fabulous caring dog sitters. Our Charlie had a great time with them. They took very good care of him and he even slept between them at night like he does at home. We will definitely be booking with them again. Thank you again for taking care of Charlie for us and giving us peace of mind so we could enjoy our holidays! Gisele & Dan”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Arnprior
Suzanne and Adrian were wonderful with my young and nervous mini Aussie. Their home is calm and quiet and dog friendly. We visited our dog during the week and she was not nervous staying there. Both Suzanne and Adrian are experienced and knowledgeable about dogs and my dog liked and trusted them. If I lived closer I would bring my dog to them whenever I went away.
Trudy took care of our dog Maple for 6 days/5 nights. It was our first time leaving Maple with someone else. We were very pleased with how Trudy kept us updated by texts and sending pictures. When we picked Maple up she was happy and comfortable and Trudy even thought her a new trick! We will definitely get Trudy to babysit Maple again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
