âTrudy took care of our dog Maple for 6 days/5 nights. It was our first time leaving Maple with someone else. We were very pleased with how Trudy kept us updated by texts and sending pictures. When we picked Maple up she was happy and comfortable and Trudy even thought her a new trick! We will definitely get Trudy to babysit Maple again!â

âSuzanne and Adrian were the best host for our dog. Our dog chewed its leash but they were kind enough to get a replacement and a bonus toy :-). They were great in accommodating our last minute request and they were sure to give us heads up and updates of our dog every day. Keep up good job S&Aâ

âMy dogâs vacation at Lyndaâs was amazing and if I could give a higher rating I would. I got daily updates, photos, and videos. My girl was pampered and received so much attention. A beautiful, clean home with well-behaved resident dogs. Great fenced backyard. I will definitely book here again đžâ

âI am completely satisfied with my experience. Cindyâs farm is a beautiful spot for dogs. She was responsive any time I contacted her. And my very busy dog came home exhausted! I wouldnât hesitate to recommend Cindy!â

â10/10. Poppy has stayed with these two twice now and had a great stay both times. Spent lots of time playing with their adorable dog, lots of updates and lots of love from these guys. Poppy will definitely be staying with them regularly when I am away.â

About: Hey! Iâve had pets in my home my whole life (from hamsters to large breed dogs). My family fostered animals from the Ottawa Humane Society for 10 plus years. I have experience with all kids of fur babies :) I work from home Monday-Friday so I have lots of flexibilty. I live in a quiet community perfect for dog walks, and have a yard for supervised potty breaks. My home is very pet friendly. I have no issues with pet hair on furniture or the occasional mess. I have my own three legged kitty who is dog friendly. I love to give affection to pets and allow them on my furniture.
âI felt very confident leaving my cat with Cristina for a week. Kitty was very content and well cared for while we were gone and came home very content and unfazed and settled right back seamlessly. This is our second time with Cristina and we will definitely be back. Thank you Cristina!â

âI had never boarded our 8 year old chocolate lab before so I was nervous to leave him. Kim made us feel comfortable with plenty of pictures and updates throughout the week. They dogs got along great, enjoyed the whole house and she even let him sleep on the bed. I canât say enough great things about this experience. She noticed his ears were bothering him and took the time to clean them (which he doesnât normally let anyone do but me). Thank you Kim! â¤ď¸â

âMolly loves staying over. She is warmly welcomed by the entire family and loves her snuggle time while there. We always feel relaxed knowing sheâs in excellent hands and cannot recommend enough. Thanks again for another wonderful stay :) :)â

âFrankie and Gus had a great stay with Kirstin & Justin. They provided updates throughout their stay, were flexible with drop off and pick up times. We would definitely book with them again. They came home happy pups!â

âAshley treated Rooster like family the minute she met him. Her communication, understanding, flexibility and professional is top tier! She saved us when we were in a pinch and made Rooster feel right at home! Thank you!â

âJoan is so loving to my dog Simba. He was having a great time with her over the weekend and went on plenty of adventures with her! I'm afraid he might get bored with me at home now đ. Thanks so much for taking care of my baby â¤ď¸ I would definitely recommend!â

âAmazing! It was our first time leaving our dog overnight. Hui provided photos and videos often, making the whole experience way easier on us! In every video he looked like he was having an amazing time. Highly recommend and will be booking again if we need someone to watch him again in the future!â

âAmazing stay for our fur baby he was relaxed and so content from his stay! Lei took excellent care of Zeus kept us posted sent us videos and pictures we were very pleased and assured our little guy was in good hands. Lei even went out of her way to return the feeder bowls I forgot at pick up she drove them over. Honestly amazing đ thanks so much for having Zeusâ

âOur 15 year old Chihuahua enjoyed his week stay with Qianzhi. She provided daily updates with photos of his stay. Highly recommend and will be a repeat customer. Thanks Qianzhi!â

âOur dog has stayed with Kristina twice now. The latest visit was for 9 days. Although it had been months since her last visit, our dog Ruby, walked excitedly right up to Kristinaâs house when we arrived. Kristina is excellent to communicate with and always quick to respond. She provided regular updates, pictures and kept Ruby busy. Ruby came home very happy. I also get the feeling that Kristinaâs dog Jax is also a very good companion and made our dogâs time away from home easier to handle. I would highly recommend Kristina to others.â

âAs aways Guinness enjoyed her time with her bestie Bella. We were so happy yo have Guinness stay with J&J again for the weekend. She always has such an exciting time there and comes home tuckered out.â

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Arnprior
Suzanne and Adrian were wonderful with my young and nervous mini Aussie. Their home is calm and quiet and dog friendly. We visited our dog during the week and she was not nervous staying there. Both Suzanne and Adrian are experienced and knowledgeable about dogs and my dog liked and trusted them. If I lived closer I would bring my dog to them whenever I went away.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
