About: When I was 10 years old, I welcomed a beautiful chocolate lab pup into my home. She was my best friend until she passed away in September of 2025. Since her passing, I have felt a void in caring for and loving dogs. I work as a Bylaw enforcement officer in the City of Ottawa and work extensively with dogs, cats, and wildlife. Through my work experience I have met and cared for hundreds of different dogs with their own unique personalities and behaviours. Considering my personal life and work experience, I think potential clients and I would mutually benefit from me caring for and looking after their dogs. I work shift work on a staggered schedule, with my primary shifts being 6am until 5pm, and 3pm until 2am. I have several weekdays off when most people work, which is opportune for me to take care of their animals when needed. As a dog owner for 13 years, I learned how to make my pet comfortable, loved, and adapted to her needs. This gave us immense comfort as one of our pups is very senior and needs patience with his slowness and medicine to be administered throughout the day. In addition to all the superb care to our pups and home, Melanie went above and beyond to take care of our three chickens, letting them out to roam during the day and putting them to bed at night.
