About: When I was 10 years old, I welcomed a beautiful chocolate lab pup into my home. She was my best friend until she passed away in September of 2025. Since her passing, I have felt a void in caring for and loving dogs. I work as a Bylaw enforcement officer in the City of Ottawa and work extensively with dogs, cats, and wildlife. Through my work experience I have met and cared for hundreds of different dogs with their own unique personalities and behaviours. Considering my personal life and work experience, I think potential clients and I would mutually benefit from me caring for and looking after their dogs. I work shift work on a staggered schedule, with my primary shifts being 6am until 5pm, and 3pm until 2am. I have several weekdays off when most people work, which is opportune for me to take care of their animals when needed. As a dog owner for 13 years, I learned how to make my pet comfortable, loved, and adapted to her needs. Through my work experience, this is has been strengthened further through interacting with dogs and animals that I did not previously know. I’m compassionate towards my love of dogs and I would love to care for and interact with more.

I’ve had dogs since I was a child, and I’ve always had a natural ability to understand and connect with them. Over 10 years ago, when my dog Horchata joined my life, she was energetic and needed guidance. I took a diploma in Spain to learn how to help her become balanced and confident. Later, friends began asking me to care for their dogs while they travelled, and they were impressed to see how their pets improved after staying with me for a few weeks. “This week we had the pleasure of having Abbey and James look after Ryder while we were away. We couldn’t have asked for better sitters for our girl. Abbey was so great at winning over Ryder’s affection, from the moment they met. Even when we got home she stayed facing Abbey and enjoyed her head rubs. About: I have experience with puppies, and senior dogs, I am patient, attentive and always looking for a challenge. I have a reactive dog in my house hold so I know the extra time and attention that needs to be put into animals. I have been trusted to watch my neighbours dogs for multiple weekends, walk, feed, bathe, play, and care for each and every animal. I have flexible availability, so I am free anytime you’re pups need someone there. I am currently looking for part time as I am dealing with medical issues of my own. I have full awareness of my surroundings when I am out with the dogs, I am constantly on the look for other animals on leash and off leash that may cause a problem. I have no issues dealing with a reactive dog, or just a dog that needs a little extra attention.
