Pet Sitting Renfrew

About: Shortly after moving to Renfrew, I rescued my dog Sage in July 2024. She is from Baffin Island, Nunavut—and I was initially told that she was a husky but she never grew! Given her size and demeanour, we believe her to be a Shiba Inu mix—we just aren’t sure how she ended up in the Arctic! About me: I have always loved animals, and I took this passion into account when choosing my first home. The house has a very large fenced-in yard that Sage loves to roam freely in. I enjoy spending much of my time in the backyard, whether in the garden or playing with Sage. Since I have all this space, and the time, I figured it would be a fun and rewarding opportunity to welcome other pets into my space on occasion, overnight on weekends or during the day on Tuesdays and Fridays when I work from home. I am also quite active, and would be happy to have another pup joining Sage and I on our walks! My partner and I both work full-time, though I work from home on Tuesdays and Fridays. I am also often available on weekends, allowing me to provide dogs with consistent attention and care. I am very adventurous with my own dog, taking her on camping trips, hikes, canoes and SUPs—she does it all and loves it! I am very active and take Sage on at least two walks per day on weekdays, also playing in the yard for about an hour each day. On weekends, I tend to go on longer walks or hikes in the area, and sometimes go to the cottage for an evening or two, where my dog will join me on snowshoe trips in the winter or boat rides in the summer. All in all, Sage is very spoiled and has my attention all the time—I love her so much and I would be happy to have her make friends with the other dogs in the area, which would be treated with a paralleled affection! As mentioned, I have a very large fenced yard which will allow your dog to play with my dog for as long as they want! My dog has free range of the house, and sleeps in bed with my partner and I (spoiled!!!). I would be happy to respect any rules that you have for your own pet when it comes to food, crating, training, etc. Our dog does her business outside in the yard, and it is preferred that your dog does the same (no pee pads). Your dog can be dropped off whenever works best for you, or I can pick them up if nearby enough. I can provide all-day daycare with two walks and free range of the backyard (with close supervision) on Tuesdays and Fridays (morning drop-off with evening pickup), or I can watch your dog all weekend (Friday morning to Sunday evening). During all of these times I will be home, but may need to leave the house for a maximum of two hours to go get groceries, etc. My dog is very playful, so ideally your dog is also playful and medium-high energy. I can of course watch lower-energy dogs, but would want to make sure they get along with my rambunctious pup first!

About: Hi, I'm April! I've been a dog and cat Mom for over 15 years. My husband and I rescue senior smaller dogs as well as foster for Marshall's Dog Rescue and CCRT Canadian Chihuahua Rescue and Transport. I have a ton of experience with medication, injections as well as special needs. My goal is to always make sure whatever animal I am currently looking after that they feel loved and safe. About: I have been caring for animals my whole life, I started within my own household and once I was old enough I started dog walking after school, into adulthood I have taken my fair share of dog sitting jobs and walking when I have had the chance. I have some spare time now that I’d like to fill with surrounding myself with animals again. I work part time, and on my days off I’m looking for a Job that brings me happiness, so no better way than surrounding myself with fur babies and helping support them when their parents are busy. I will care for your pet as if it were my own, animals have a very special place in my heart and they deserve the best care possible.

About: Hi, I am a huge animal lover with a few years of animal sitting experience! During high school, I used to overnight sit dogs of various sizes and breeds on the weekends and throughout the summer! I have experience with my own two dogs as well as dog walking large and small dogs, feeding, sitting and much more! I’m currently working full time, during the mornings and early afternoons. My schedule is more flexible with doing shift work. I’m available more during the evenings and weekends I can easily handle larger breeds, I helped crate train my own two dogs and have no problem with that! Trust is a huge thing for me and I will always respect an animals boundaries.

About: I have owned and cared for dogs, cats, rabbits and ferrets my whole life. I enjoy the physical aspect of having furry friends around as well as the companionship! There is nothing I do not enjoy about caring for and spending time with animals! I have experience with a variety of animals and breeds of various ages and stages of their life. I am extremely capable of administering medications, treatments or any other plan you may have your pup on. In terms of activity, I will gear this towards what I know about your dog and what you prefer they do! Should this be walks, runs or play time outdoors, I am willing to meet your needs. We are an active household would love nothing more than to spend time outdoors with your pup! *Please note, for larger older dogs, that I live in a 3 story townhome. Should your pup be too big to carry and incapable of doing several sets of steps, this may not be the home for you :) As I prepare to study for my legal Licensing exams, I will be home all for the next six months to give your pup all the love and attention they deserve! Should there be an occasion where I must go out, my partner may stay home from work to accommodate! Despite my need to study, I love being active and so does my partner! Should your dog require extra walks or exercise, we would love to have them join us ! At minimum, we will include your furry friend on 3 large walks a day. Please continue reading for a description of our daily schedule: Morning: My partner and myself both wake up by about 7am. My partner typically leaves early, while I will be home to study and care for your furry friends. In the morning I will grab coffee and go for a walk of about 30 minutes before 8am, letting your pup out to pee as needed beforehand. Afternoon: In the afternoon, I often aim to go for about 1 hour of a walk minimum. I will go through the forest or alongside our neighborhood which is a quiet and less populated area of Ottawa. In doing so, there is plenty of room and opportunity to roam around should your pup enjoy such activities. Evening: Before dinner, I often like to walk for about 20 minutes prior to giving dinner. After we have all eaten, myself and my partner typically walk for about 45 minutes to one hour. In the evening, we enjoy down time at home, often reading or watching TV. Your furry friend will hang out with us! Before bed, there will be opportunity for one last walk or at least a pee! ** Note that walks and breaks will be given generously throughout the day. There will never be more than a 1-2 hour period without an outdoor break. Myself and my partner are both young professionals. My partner works as an IT consultant in a hybrid model while I work and study from home! We reside in a three story townhome, with ample room for your pup to run free and explore. There is nowhere in our home that is off limits to animals. We do not have a closed in backyard, but rather have our pee breaks in front of the home which faces a large forest and field. When I care for others pets, I typically set alarms for a walk or pee every 45 minutes to 1 hours. This ensures a check in or small pee break will never be forgotten in case of animals not knowing where to alert to go outside. With this in mind, I often take large and longer walks in between pee breaks in order to better break up the day. Please see the Schedule section to see a predicted daily schedule. Despite this, we are active individuals who love to walk and explore, ensuring your pup will have lots of opportunities to pee and explore as they wish 🐶. Please note, we have plenty of room for a crate should your dog require, but we do not posses one at the moment!

I structure my day to include interactive play, calm cuddle time, and short walks to keep dogs happy, comfortable, and stimulated. About: I’ve been watching dogs for 7 years now. I love all types of dogs. But the first dog I ever got close to was a pitbull. He was the first over night dog sit/house sit. I ever did, the couple would travel often due to work. So I would dog sit about 2/3 times a week. I did that for about two years and gained a lot of experience with dogs due to that job. I also find dog walking a great way to stay healthy and active with out it feeling like a work out. I’ve enjoyed dogging sitting ever since I started and don’t plan to stop. I’ve loved animal since I was a little girl so being around them always brings me joy and as you’ll see they take a liking to me as well. Even the pups you think won’t, always end up loving me as well. I live in a very spacious one bedroom apartment with a balcony alone so they always feel free and nice fresh air. There is a courtyard in my building that is dog friendly and three dog parks near my building as well. So they will always have room to run and be themselves. I am a full time online student so I would be spending my whole day with your pups. They would always be in great care with love and attention. I have a nice courtyard in my building that’s pet friendly and they can play and I also have three dog parks in my area. Where they can run around and meet new pups if allowed I am currently an full time online student so I would be with your pup the whole day.
