About: I’ve had puppies, kittens, even 10-day-old kittens that needed around-the-clock bottle feeding and care, so I’m no stranger to the messy, adorable, and sometimes chaotic side of pet parenting! I’ve grown up with animals my entire life, and my fur babies are truly my pride and joy. I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family - whether that means long walks, playtime, cuddles, or just making sure they feel safe and loved while you’re away. I’m comfortable with pets of all ages and needs. You can expect lots of updates, photos, and peace of mind knowing your pet is in caring, experienced hands I work from home during the week and have very flexible hours, so it's easy for me to accomadate your schedule to make your fur baby feel as comfortable as possible while you're gone. Other than Sunday morning church services, my weekends are completely open to you! When caring for pets in a client’s home, my goal is to keep everything as consistent and stress-free as possible for them. I follow your pet’s routine closely - including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any specific instructions you provide. I’m also very mindful of keeping your home clean and respected, leaving things exactly as I found them (or better!). As someone who has 3 cats who's main goal in life is to escape to the great outdoors (and fails every time), safety is always a top priority, so I stay alert on walks, secure doors and gates, and keep a close eye on your pet’s behaviour and well-being. I’ll also keep you updated with regular messages and photos so you always know how your pet is doing.

About: I’ve been a Veterinarian Technician for 17 years. I have experience working with many different species. I have also done lots of pet sitting throughout the years. I am capable of giving medications, nails trims, supportive care, you name it! I live on a hobby farm so have experience with chickens, goats, donkeys and horses. I currently have a 2 year old yorkie “Gordon” who loves the company of other dogs, no matter what size! I’m currently home throughout the week so can be available almost anytime throughout the day. I’m very active so happy to take your pup for a nice walk. We are a very adventurous family so often away on the weekends so my weekends will be limited. About: Long before petsitting became a commoditized business, Debbie Ozarko was on the Ottawa scene bringing joy to the lives of dogs and their people with her dog walking service, "We Take the Dogs Out" in 2000. This eventually morphed into, "It’s a Ruff Life Doggie Daycare" which thrived until her move to the British Columbia coast in 2013. Her love for such beautiful intimacy with animals has only deepened over time, and with her return to the Ottawa area she is eager to offer her exceptional services once again. Debbie is also a long-time volunteer with the Rideau Valley Wildlife Sanctuary and the IFAW Northern Dogs Project. Animals truly are her life. Debbie brings it back to what is most meaningful for all: respect, integrity and generosity of spirit—for you, and for your furry, fuzzy and feathered animal companions. Animals are my life! It doesn't matter if they are residents are not, they are all treated with love, kindness, respect, and compassion. My schedule is constructed around their needs first. I have access to several quiet areas where field, forest and streams abound for off-leash romps. If dogs are better with on-leash walks, I'm happy to take them to green spaces where they have access to lots of sniffing to satiate that deep primal canine need. I also provide healthy, grain-free treats...just because. Of course, I offer only these with your approval beforehand.
