About: I’m calm, intuitive, active, and experienced. I normally take long walks more than 19km a week and would love to walk dogs with me in mind of their fitness levels. I approach pet care with a focus on empathy and environmental awareness. I’ve spent years caring for neighbors' and family’s cats and dogs, and I’ve developed a deep understanding of animal behavior. While my yard is unfenced, I am an experienced endurance walker and am always attentive to leashed safety and strict routines to ensure every pet feels secure in their environment.

About: I have had dogs for many years. Now that I am retired I am looking to giving back and helping other pet owners. I know that time is limited and sometimes you just need some help. Given my years of experience and my love of dogs, helping dog owners seemed the natural fit. It is a win/win....you get some much needed help and I get to enjoy being with your canine friend! I walk everyday as part of my active lifestyle and love to meet and greet dogs along the way. Seems like the perfect fit to invite your dog along for a scenic walk around the area. I love a brisk walk for my own health benefits and I know from past experience that my dogs always benefited from the same. Whether it was a better sleep or better appetite or being better behaved and ultimately more healthy, a good walk was the answer. I know from being busy in the past, I wasn't always able to get out regularly with my furry friends. If that is you, then that is where I come in to help and keep those walks regular.

Caring for animals has always been something I genuinely enjoy, whether that’s going for long walks, providing companionship, or making sure they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I currently own two amazing dogs - a 9-year-old German Shepherd and a 4-year-old Alaskan Malamute mix - so I’m very familiar with caring for large, active breeds and understanding that every dog has their own unique personality and needs. I’m an active, reliable, and organized person who loves spending time outdoors. About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats my whole life - medium and large breeds, all kinds of personalities - so pet care has always been second nature to me. I’ve solo-cared for my own pets for weeks at a time, and I’ve stepped in for friends and family for both short visits and extended stays. In high school, I took a veterinary prerequisite course and completed a co-op at a vet office, where I got hands-on experience caring for animals and learned how to administer medication in both pill and liquid form. I’m comfortable working with pets that have allergies or need to stick to a strict feeding and bathroom schedule. My love for animals goes beyond dogs and cats - I’ve kept leopard geckos, and I grew up next to a farm where I regularly visited the retired horses just to keep them company. I’ve always been drawn to animals that need a little extra attention and care. I’m comfortable lifting and carrying larger dogs, and I genuinely love going on walks and playing, whether that’s in the home or out at the park. Your pet will be in experienced, loving hands. I work a standard 9–5 during the week, so I focus my sitting availability on Friday evenings and full weekends. About: I have looked after pets my whole life, including my own as well as other people’s. I’ve had experience with puppies, kittens, senior cats and senior dogs. I have a very flexible work schedule. I work early mornings in person and from home in the afternoon. Perfect for early walks/feeding and I am usually home by noon for lunch walks! I love exercise so I will happily go on long walks or even runs with high energy dogs! I try to keep things operating as normally as possible for the pet. Feeding schedules, walk times and lengths. I’ve taken care of small to medium sized mostly, but large dogs a few times. No matter where I go, pets gravitate towards me! I play sports in the evening a few days a week but nothing that can’t be worked around I will ensure I study the area my clients live in and discuss the areas and routines your pets are accustomed to. About: Long before petsitting became a commoditized business, Debbie Ozarko was on the Ottawa scene bringing joy to the lives of dogs and their people with her dog walking service, "We Take the Dogs Out" in 2000. This eventually morphed into, "It’s a Ruff Life Doggie Daycare" which thrived until her move to the British Columbia coast in 2013. Her love for such beautiful intimacy with animals has only deepened over time, and with her return to the Ottawa area she is eager to offer her exceptional services once again. Debbie is also a long-time volunteer with the Rideau Valley Wildlife Sanctuary and the IFAW Northern Dogs Project. Animals truly are her life. Debbie brings it back to what is most meaningful for all: respect, integrity and generosity of spirit—for you, and for your furry, fuzzy and feathered animal companions. Animals are my life! It doesn't matter if they are residents are not, they are all treated with love, kindness, respect, and compassion. My schedule is constructed around their needs first. I have access to several quiet areas where field, forest and streams abound for off-leash romps. If dogs are better with on-leash walks, I'm happy to take them to green spaces where they have access to lots of sniffing to satiate that deep primal canine need. I also provide healthy, grain-free treats...just because. Of course, I offer only these with your approval beforehand.

About: We're in the process of opening a kennel on our 27 acre homestead, until then, we're here on Rover! Let us give your pets an enriching experience while you're away, and you peace of mind that they are in not one but two sets of good hands. Our dog Styx loves all pets, big and small, but we also have experience and infrastructure for some personal space if your pet takes a little longer to warm up or has special needs. We are currently building a kennel on our wooded retreat, and in the meantime, our home is open! We are home full-time and spend our days outside tending to the property, bringing your pets along, with lots of water and indoor breaks.
