About: Hi, I’m Heather! 👋 I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember, and I’m so excited to offer dog walking, home visits, and pet sitting through Rover! I understand how difficult it can be to leave your precious pets with someone you’ve never met. That’s why I make it a priority to provide plenty of updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while your pets are in my care. Dog walking is my main focus, though I offer sitting and drop in services also. I’d love to become a reliable part of your dog’s routine! Whether your pup needs some extra exercise, a chance to get outside during the day, or simply some attention and companionship, I’m happy to help. I’m a very active person and genuinely enjoy spending time outdoors with dogs, so dog walking is a perfect fit for me. I’ve cared for dogs of many different sizes and breeds, including Doodles, Mini Goldendoodles, Maltese, and Golden Retrievers and more! I understand that every dog is different, and that breed, age, personality, and energy level can all play a role in what they need. I always take these things into consideration and tailor each walk and visit to the individual dog. As a self employed personal trainer, I have the flexibility to create my own schedule, which allows me to offer daytime walks and home visits and give your pets the time and attention they deserve. I’m also available for pet sitting when you’re away! Whether your dog needs a daily walk, a quick home visit for some company and care, or someone to look after them while you’re away, I’d love to help. I work part time and create my own schedule, half my work is from home so I am only away for a maximum of 4 hours at a time per day. For walks I typically have availability in the late mornings, afternoons and evenings! I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and individual needs. I carefully follow all care instructions provided by the owner and make sure pets are safe, comfortable, and supervised while in my care. During walks, I’m attentive to my surroundings and always prioritize your pet’s safety. I’m also happy to provide regular updates and photos so you know your pet is happy and well cared for!

About: I'm 22, I've had animals my entire existence including reptiles. I live on 4 acres of mostly fenced in yard for your babies to run around. I'm flexible on anything you need for your babies. (And I can babysit your reptiles) I currently have no job but I'm looking for a part-time so I can continue to focus on meeting all sorts of new animals that need somewhere to snooze and play. I have a mostly fenced yard, three doggos that are super friendly to everything. I have experience with vet medicine and crate training. I have LOTS of safe dog toys that need to be played with.

About: I have had dogs for many years. Now that I am retired I am looking to giving back and helping other pet owners. I know that time is limited and sometimes you just need some help. Given my years of experience and my love of dogs, helping dog owners seemed the natural fit. It is a win/win....you get some much needed help and I get to enjoy being with your canine friend! I walk everyday as part of my active lifestyle and love to meet and greet dogs along the way. Seems like the perfect fit to invite your dog along for a scenic walk around the area. I love a brisk walk for my own health benefits and I know from past experience that my dogs always benefited from the same. Whether it was a better sleep or better appetite or being better behaved and ultimately more healthy, a good walk was the answer. I know from being busy in the past, I wasn't always able to get out regularly with my furry friends. If that is you, then that is where I come in to help and keep those walks regular.

With a lifetime of experience caring for a diverse range of pets, from cats and dogs to exotic creatures like snakes and lizards, I promise to treat your beloved pets like my own. Whatever your fur babies need, we do our absolute best to accommodate to make their stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. I understand that some dogs have more energy than others, so we use a baby gate if needed to give everyone a breather so your little loved ones don't get stressed out. We have a high-energy husky that we trained (one of the harder breeds to train), and he is such a good boy. Everyone said potty training him would take 2-4 weeks, and we accomplished it in 7 days by taking him out every 2 hours even during the night. Alarms were set, and out he went. No more puppy pads or accidents in the house at 11 weeks old. If your fur baby is a puppy in need of extra walks for that reason, we are more than happy to help with that. We are able to section off a piece of our living room or kitchen to give senior dogs their own space if needed. Cuddle bugs are always welcome. They will get all the cuddles plus some extra 😊. We do have one set of stairs to our apartment, but if your senior dogs need assistance, I can carry them up and down the stairs; it's not a problem. As well as the administration of any meds they may need. We just need a medication schedule, and away we go. We have a huge park right behind our house for lots of playtime. If you have a high-energy pup I guarantee they will get the stimulation they need. And again, if you have senior dogs that are more laid back, we are set up to make sure everyone is in a comfortable, stress-free environment. We promise to provide the best care and daily updates of your fur babies. They will receive all the love and attention they get at home with you. You can rest assured they are happy and safe. As a pet parent myself, I understand the importance of finding a trustworthy and reliable pet sitter. That's why I've made it my full-time job to provide top-notch care for your pets, giving you peace of mind while you're away. One or both of us are home all day, so your pet will not be left alone for any period of time. In our home, they will have constant supervision. Accommodation for all pets is our #1 priority, whether it be at your residence or ours. I always like to get down on the ground with your fur babies when I meet them, as this establishes trust. About: I’ve been house sitting since I was 16 and have cared for all kinds of pets over the years; from dogs and cats to fish and turtles. About: Generally, I have grown up surrounded by different animals, including dogs. I used to take our family dog for walks around the block and outside with him a lot. I live with other family who have two medium sized dogs. I talked to them and give them hugs every day and they make me laugh. During the week, my availability varies with more availability on weekends where I am able to dedicate more time to spend with your fur babies. At home, I live with two dogs. They are not my dogs specifically but I will let them outside to let them run around and/or do their business and sometimes I will sit outside with them on the porch and just relax. I am also active in my daily life as I exercise at home and go for long walks everyday down the trail. I like to absorb the nature around me on my walks. It's also a good stress reliever. When I watched over dogs in the past for family members, I would take them for walks, feed them, let them outside, and spend time with them in the house.

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I make sure they’re fed on schedule, get plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and any other care they’re used to. About: I have owned and cared for dogs, cats, rabbits and ferrets my whole life. I enjoy the physical aspect of having furry friends around as well as the companionship! There is nothing I do not enjoy about caring for and spending time with animals! I have experience with a variety of animals and breeds of various ages and stages of their life. I am extremely capable of administering medications, treatments or any other plan you may have your pup on. In terms of activity, I will gear this towards what I know about your dog and what you prefer they do! Should this be walks, runs or play time outdoors, I am willing to meet your needs. We are an active household would love nothing more than to spend time outdoors with your pup! *Please note, for larger older dogs, that I live in a 3 story townhome. Should your pup be too big to carry and incapable of doing several sets of steps, this may not be the home for you :) As I prepare to study for my legal Licensing exams, I will be home all for the next six months to give your pup all the love and attention they deserve! Should there be an occasion where I must go out, my partner may stay home from work to accommodate! Despite my need to study, I love being active and so does my partner! Should your dog require extra walks or exercise, we would love to have them join us ! At minimum, we will include your furry friend on 3 large walks a day. Please continue reading for a description of our daily schedule: Morning: My partner and myself both wake up by about 7am. My partner typically leaves early, while I will be home to study and care for your furry friends. In the morning I will grab coffee and go for a walk of about 30 minutes before 8am, letting your pup out to pee as needed beforehand. Afternoon: In the afternoon, I often aim to go for about 1 hour of a walk minimum. I will go through the forest or alongside our neighborhood which is a quiet and less populated area of Ottawa. In doing so, there is plenty of room and opportunity to roam around should your pup enjoy such activities. Evening: Before dinner, I often like to walk for about 20 minutes prior to giving dinner. After we have all eaten, myself and my partner typically walk for about 45 minutes to one hour. In the evening, we enjoy down time at home, often reading or watching TV. Your furry friend will hang out with us! Before bed, there will be opportunity for one last walk or at least a pee! ** Note that walks and breaks will be given generously throughout the day. There will never be more than a 1-2 hour period without an outdoor break. Myself and my partner are both young professionals. My partner works as an IT consultant in a hybrid model while I work and study from home! We reside in a three story townhome, with ample room for your pup to run free and explore. There is nowhere in our home that is off limits to animals. We do not have a closed in backyard, but rather have our pee breaks in front of the home which faces a large forest and field. When I care for others pets, I typically set alarms for a walk or pee every 45 minutes to 1 hours. This ensures a check in or small pee break will never be forgotten in case of animals not knowing where to alert to go outside. With this in mind, I often take large and longer walks in between pee breaks in order to better break up the day. Please see the Schedule section to see a predicted daily schedule. Despite this, we are active individuals who love to walk and explore, ensuring your pup will have lots of opportunities to pee and explore as they wish 🐶. Please note, we have plenty of room for a crate should your dog require, but we do not posses one at the moment!

I currently own two amazing dogs - a 9-year-old German Shepherd and a 4-year-old Alaskan Malamute mix - so I’m very familiar with caring for large, active breeds and understanding that every dog has their own unique personality and needs. Whether your dog enjoys leisurely neighbourhood strolls, longer walks on local trails, or simply having someone to keep them company, I’d be happy to help. About: Long before petsitting became a commoditized business, Debbie Ozarko was on the Ottawa scene bringing joy to the lives of dogs and their people with her dog walking service, "We Take the Dogs Out" in 2000. This eventually morphed into, "It’s a Ruff Life Doggie Daycare" which thrived until her move to the British Columbia coast in 2013. Her love for such beautiful intimacy with animals has only deepened over time, and with her return to the Ottawa area she is eager to offer her exceptional services once again. Debbie is also a long-time volunteer with the Rideau Valley Wildlife Sanctuary and the IFAW Northern Dogs Project. Animals truly are her life. Debbie brings it back to what is most meaningful for all: respect, integrity and generosity of spirit—for you, and for your furry, fuzzy and feathered animal companions. Animals are my life! It doesn't matter if they are residents are not, they are all treated with love, kindness, respect, and compassion. My schedule is constructed around their needs first. I have access to several quiet areas where field, forest and streams abound for off-leash romps. If dogs are better with on-leash walks, I'm happy to take them to green spaces where they have access to lots of sniffing to satiate that deep primal canine need. I also provide healthy, grain-free treats...just because. Of course, I offer only these with your approval beforehand.

About: We're in the process of opening a kennel on our 27 acre homestead, until then, we're here on Rover! Let us give your pets an enriching experience while you're away, and you peace of mind that they are in not one but two sets of good hands. Our dog Styx loves all pets, big and small, but we also have experience and infrastructure for some personal space if your pet takes a little longer to warm up or has special needs.
