“Nicole and Eddie were wonderful with Daisy. They gave her lots of loving attention, took her on many walks with their dog, Keyser. They also took her to the pet store and had other activities planned for her during her stay. Keyser and Daisy get along well and are a good match for each other. We felt very confident leaving Daisy with Nicole and Eddie while we were on vacation, and loved the photos they sent us showing Daisy was having lots of fun.”

About: Hi, I’m Shannon. I provide a calm, clean, and structured home environment where your dog will feel safe, relaxed, and genuinely cared for in a countryside environment. As a healthcare professional and experienced dog sport handler, I naturally pay close attention to detail, routines, and subtle changes in behaviour, ensuring your pet’s well-being is always a top priority. I keep my bookings small so each dog receives personalized care, consistent routines, and meaningful one-on-one attention. My home is best suited for dogs who thrive in a quieter environment, including seniors or those who may feel overwhelmed in busy kennel settings. I also have experience accommodating puppies and high-energy dogs in various stages of training. I work from home, which allows me to provide a consistent, supervised routine where your dog receives plenty of structure, attention, and meaningful interaction throughout the day. My child is very dog savvy and trains dogs as junior handler on our flyball club. I attend dog training classes with my own dogs. When appropriate and with your approval, your dog is welcome to join for a safe and enriching outing, including a secured car ride and a supervised “sniff safari” or work recalls at the training facility. During the summer months, I also participate in dog sport tournaments, which may involve travel and on-site camping 4–6 hours away. For clients who are comfortable, dogs are welcome to join these structured adventure experiences. Participation is always optional and discussed in advance to ensure it’s the right fit for your dog. I offer a dedicated dog space equipped with crates, comfortable bedding, fresh water, and access to a secure dog run, along with a large, fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time. We also have the executive suite, which is a play pen for boarding dogs and especially for puppies and seniors. I have extensive experience with senior dogs and those with special needs, including administering medications, supplements, dietary needs kibble and raw feeding, caring for deaf or blind animals. With over 12 years in competitive dog sports, I am also skilled in handling puppies, high-energy dogs, reactivity (such as barking or anxiety), and resource guarding. Please note: while I am experienced with behavioural challenges, I do not accept dogs with a history of aggression or biting. This is to ensure the safety of all dogs in my care, as well as my young child at home. For safety, all boarding dogs must be crate trained and comfortable with overnight crating. This helps maintain a calm and structured environment. During the day, dogs are welcome on furniture and can enjoy a relaxed, home-like setting. You can expect regular updates, photos and videos, a clean and safe space, and the peace of mind that your dog is being cared for like family.
“I had never boarded our 8 year old chocolate lab before so I was nervous to leave him. Kim made us feel comfortable with plenty of pictures and updates throughout the week. They dogs got along great, enjoyed the whole house and she even let him sleep on the bed. I can’t say enough great things about this experience. She noticed his ears were bothering him and took the time to clean them (which he doesn’t normally let anyone do but me). Thank you Kim! ❤️”

“Shelley and her family treated Bailey like their own. They sent pictures and I truly felt comfortable that our dog was well cared for and loved. I would recommend Shelley to anyone and will be booking with her again 100% Best service!”

“Lynda was super mega fantastic. Took amazing care of our pooch and sent piles of photos and videos which we really enjoyed and appreciated!! Our doggie was in heaven swimming in their pool. She's clearly extremely experienced with dogs and your doggie will be in amazing hands!!”

“Leaving our beloved basset hound behind while we went away is never easy, but having Laura look after her turned what could have been a stressful situation into complete peace of mind. From the start, Laura was incredibly conscientious and attentive, sending regular updates and photos that reassured us our dog was not only safe, but genuinely happy. What really stood out was the level of care and effort Laura put into each day. She made sure our dog got plenty of exercise, fresh air, and opportunities to socialize. Our basset hound can be a bit stubborn at times, but Laura clearly understands dogs and took the time to engage with her patiently and thoughtfully. It honestly felt less like simple dog sitting and more like sending our dog to a figurative “dog spa,” where she was pampered with attention, activity, and affection. Coming home to a relaxed, content, and well-exercised dog said it all. Laura treated our dog like family, and that level of care is priceless when you’re away. We would absolutely use Laura again without hesitation and recommend her without reservation to anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive, and genuinely caring dog minder.”

“Kirstin and Justin looked after of our girl Frankie and all I can say is wow. They took amazing care of her and provided updates throughout her stay. They answered all questions we had and were proactive in providing a fun and structured atmosphere for her to thrive in. Thanks again. It’s reassuring to know that Frankie has a home away from home.”

“Hui really loves animals and is very passionate towards them. She is the best dog 🐕 sitter I have ever used. I brought my Coco to Hui for 5 days over the Christmas period. Hui sent photos and videos of Coco regularly and made sure Coco was active , fed and walked regularly for potty and pee breaks. I am relieved to know Hui is there in the future when I travel again. Thanks very much Hui!”

“This was our first time leaving Grady with someone other than family so we were a little nervous, but that quickly changed when we saw how wonderful Jacqueline and Jamie are! Grady had so much fun playing with the other dogs and he got all the cuddles and attention he needed. We will definitely be reaching out to them again next time Grady needs a home away from home!”

“We are so fortunate to have found Cristina T. on Rover. She is a very loving and extremely competent pet sitter. We had a wonderful Meet & Greet with Cristina before making a booking. We witnessed how comfortable and at home Tucker felt at Cristina's house. It was pretty well instant. She is a very warm and kind individual - perfectly suited to providing one's pet with all the care and attention they need. Thank you, Cristina, for sending us photos of Tucker loving his stay with you. We are very grateful and feel we can enjoy our getaways when we can't take Tucker with us knowing he is in the very best of hands.”

“Daniel and Sarah were great with our dogs. This was the first stay and we felt very comfortable leaving Paf and Malina for an overnight stay. We received several photos and the next day when I went to pickup dogs they were calm and and well taken care of. We will be back for sure!”

“It’s the first time I left my dog for a few days with a dog sitter so I was nervous about it. Jason and Jocelyn were great and took good care of him. Billie had lots of love from them. He had friends to play with and keep him company as well. Thank you 😊”

“Lainey had the best time with Jacinta and her family. I would recommend this family 100%. Lainey is a high energy dog and she was well taken care of. We will be having this family again for our future trips. The rover app is a great service if looking for a sitter for you fur baby. Thank you”

“This was our first experience using a dog boarding service with Kim and we have only good things to say about her and her family and how well they took care of our dog. Kim and her family were great and very accommodating. Our dog was really happy and everything went smoothly. We would definitely ask Kim to watch our dog again in the future.”

“Michaela looked after our 7 year old Doberman mix for one weekend. Everything went very smoothly and we felt very comfortable throughout the process. Our pup was well looked after and is sure to return. Thank you Michaela.”

“I can’t recommend Lei enough! We started with a meet and greet near her place at the park. She was calm and super friendly. She asked all the right questions regarding my pup - what he likes, doesn’t like, his schedules, routines etc - all questions that indicate that she has his best interest at heart. Throughout my pup’s stay, she sent an abundance of updates with pictures. Ollie seemed super comfortable and well taken care of. So much so that I can tell he misses her now that he’s home with us! I will be picking Lei every single time from this point forward.”

“This was our first time using Rover. I was very comfortable leaving Gus with Lindsay and her family. I received lots of updates throughout his short stay, which helped put me at ease.It sounds like he enjoyed himself and relaxed very quickly. We would definitely leave Gus for another stay.”

“Tanya was awesome as we were a last minute booking. In Ottawa for our son’s wedding we quickly realized our senior dog needed company the night of the wedding and used Rover for the first time. How lucky we are to have found Tanya and have a great experience. Our dog had a sleepover with her and her fur babies and wasn’t lonely one second! And we were able to enjoy the wedding stress free knowing he was well taken care of. Thank you Tanya!”

“I can’t say enough good things about Janice, Rene and their family; it was clear they care about my dog. I received regular updates and pictures. It is such a relief to have someone trustworthy looking after my dog and have piece of mind while I was away”

Cosmo had a great time on his weekend stay with Nicole and Eddie. Once again they were great. Communication and accommodation was top notch. They clearly kept Cosmo busy with walks and playtime as he slept the whole day once he got home! We highly recommend Nicole and Eddie.

Kim provided great care for my GSD. She requested a dog meet prior to the booking which favoured peace of mind while away. She sent pictures and communicated throughout and it was evident that my dog and Astro had a great time. I would definitely recommend Kim to anyone.

Frida had a great week and loved her new friends. Great first time experience with Rover, and it was all because of the great sitters. We had a nice connect the week prior and knew right away it would be a great fit. Constant updates of all the fun they had while we were away helped reassure she was in great hands. I would highly recommend Megan and know we will definitely be bringing Frida back for a visit!

It’s quite difficult for me and I believe many others, to leave a much loved dog in the care of anyone I do not know very well. Michaela’s calm approach seemed to immediately let my puppy relax and happily go with her. Seeing my Cali relax was definitely reassuring. Michaela also sent me a photo of Cali probably 30 minutes after I left, further convincing me that I had made a good decision in my choice of sitter! All around a very positive experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to choose Michaela again, to take care of Cali.

Jessica was amazing with my dog Keisha! She was super friendly, quick to respond, and kept me updated with lots of photos. Keisha went on long walks, had plenty of ball-throwing playtime, and even enjoyed some pool time—it felt like her own little vacation! Jessica truly treated her like family, and I came home to a very happy and relaxed dog. I’ll definitely book with her again—highly recommend!
