We also have the executive suite, which is a play pen for boarding dogs and especially for puppies and seniors. I have extensive experience with senior dogs and those with special needs, including administering medications, supplements, dietary needs kibble and raw feeding, caring for deaf or blind animals. With over 12 years in competitive dog sports, I am also skilled in handling puppies, high-energy dogs, reactivity (such as barking or anxiety), and resource guarding. Please note: while I am experienced with behavioural challenges, I do not accept dogs with a history of aggression or biting. This is to ensure the safety of all dogs in my care, as well as my young child at home. For safety, all boarding dogs must be crate trained and comfortable with overnight crating. This helps maintain a calm and structured environment. During the day, dogs are welcome on furniture and can enjoy a relaxed, home-like setting. You can expect regular updates, photos and videos, a clean and safe space, and the peace of mind that your dog is being cared for like family.

A simple UTI infection can be caught and dealt with in a timely manner before your cat starts to experience much pain and discomfort. As we like to say in our home, your fur baby will receive the same love, attention and dedication they get at home with you. We do our absolute best to accommodate whatever needs they may have. We have a baby gate we can put up if your pet needs a minute alone to eat special food if they are on a specific diet. Treats are available at your behest, only what you allow is what we will provide.

About: My childhood cat had many litters of kittens, so I have been around cats a lot growing up. I did the usual responsibilities such as cleaning their litter boxes, feeding them, to the fun bonding experiences like playing with them with a laser pointer, to cuddling with them on the couch, to observing and playing with the kittens when they were really young. My cat was like my best friend. I had her for nearly 20 years and we were very close. She would always sleep with me when going to bed and whenever I was upset or having a hard day, she would come and find me and comfort me by staying with me.

Majority of visits will focus on play and working your pup’s mind to prevent under stimulation. Middle age; Visits will focus around both play and rest, the ratio varying on the breed. I will gladly play with any dog as well as ensuring they are calmed down before I leave to prevent frustration. Seniors; As someone with an old girl myself, I greatly understand the struggles of administering medications and the work that goes in to owning a veteran. I understand a plethora of massage techniques and will gladly help relieve any muscle pain your dog my experience without additional fees. In terms pf activity level, I will adjust depending on the dog, although with older ones I will be consistently watching to ensure they don’t stress their joints.

About: Not only have I had pets my whole life, but I’ve been trusted by family, friends and neighbours to pet sit since I was 13. Ive pet sit for cats, dogs and birds. I do not currently have any pets in my apartment but my roommate and I have cat sit multiple times in the past 3 months for some friends! I am enthusiastic about animals and love to come up with games and activities that are mentally (and physically) stimulating for them! I work full time from 9-5 (not remotely) Monday to Friday. I can stop in at lunch as well if needed! I head straight home after work and would be able to walk/play with your pets before/after those hours. I am home on the weekends and am happy to take your pet for runs (I love to run), walks, and to parks to play some games (on a long leash). I live in a house with an unfenced backyard. All pets are welcome on the couches and beds! :) We have many dog parks and large fenced areas I can take your pet out to! If I am going to your home, I would make sure some cuddle/attention time is allotted separate from the walks and adventures we will go on.

About: Joelhyn has been a dog walker and dog sitter since she was about 14 or 15 years old. She started by babysitting and those families entrusted her with their pets while the family was away, to care for and clean their dogs and cats. She also walked dogs for some of the older neighbours in the area who couldn’t do it themselves anymore. Shes taken many different kinds of dogs on walks, given them baths, fed them to specific instructions and played with them till the sun went down! About: Long before petsitting became a commoditized business, Debbie Ozarko was on the Ottawa scene bringing joy to the lives of dogs and their people with her dog walking service, "We Take the Dogs Out" in 2000. This eventually morphed into, "It’s a Ruff Life Doggie Daycare" which thrived until her move to the British Columbia coast in 2013. Her love for such beautiful intimacy with animals has only deepened over time, and with her return to the Ottawa area she is eager to offer her exceptional services once again. Debbie is also a long-time volunteer with the Rideau Valley Wildlife Sanctuary and the IFAW Northern Dogs Project. Animals truly are her life. I have access to several quiet areas where field, forest and streams abound for off-leash romps. If dogs are better with on-leash walks, I'm happy to take them to green spaces where they have access to lots of sniffing to satiate that deep primal canine need. About: I am a registered veterinary technician who works at an emergency clinic. I have been working with animals my whole life. I have been fostering dogs for the last 5 years, providing them with training and helping them find their forever homes once they are ready. I have recently started boarding dogs at my house as I moved to a farm and had the land and space to run them and give them everything they need. I would offer additional services with my boarding if the client would like, these services would included training, nail trims, ear cleanings, etc. I have two high energy dogs who need a lot of time running off leash per day. I am always taking them in the bush, on the trails, on hikes or on bike rides to tire them out. The best suited dog to board with me would be one that is successful off leash with recall, as we spend 2 hours per day off leash in the bush as well as off leash time in my yard. I live on 5 acres so there is many opportunity to run and play. My dogs are very good with new dogs coming into our home as they are use to me bringing home new fosters very often. Both of them are crate trained, place trained and e collar trained and are very respectful of other dogs space. They like to wrestle and play when the time is right, and know when it is time to rest. My dogs know that outside is play time, and when we are inside that is their time to rest either on their beds or in their crates.

With over 12 years in competitive dog sports, I am also skilled in handling puppies, high-energy dogs, reactivity (such as barking or anxiety), and resource guarding. Please note: while I am experienced with behavioural challenges, I do not accept dogs with a history of aggression or biting. This is to ensure the safety of all dogs in my care, as well as my young child at home. For safety, all boarding dogs must be crate trained and comfortable with overnight crating. This helps maintain a calm and structured environment. During the day, dogs are welcome on furniture and can enjoy a relaxed, home-like setting.
