“Highly Recommend! Lynda went above and beyond with our little 4 year old Coton de Tulear. It is evident Lynda recognized how precious he is to us and she made him feel like one of her own. From ensuring he had his allergy meds to offering him sleeping options to make him feel at home to cuddles and play time, we now feel we have found the best pet sitter for our pup. Lynda’s own three lovely and well behaved dogs are a perfect match with our dog and this added yet another level of fun and exercise to Romeo’s experience. Lynda even washed cuddle blankets and food containers we had sent along and totally spoiled Romeo with a new toy ball that came home with him. Lynda is very responsive and regularly sent photos and videos. We felt completely at ease knowing Romeo was in the hands of such a caring and capable family. 5 Stars for Lynda!”

“I had never boarded our 8 year old chocolate lab before so I was nervous to leave him. Kim made us feel comfortable with plenty of pictures and updates throughout the week. They dogs got along great, enjoyed the whole house and she even let him sleep on the bed. I can’t say enough great things about this experience. She noticed his ears were bothering him and took the time to clean them (which he doesn’t normally let anyone do but me). Thank you Kim! ❤️”

“We greatly appreciated Jocelyn and Jason's care for our dog, Jasper, while we were away. He enjoyed their company, as well as making other 4-legged friends. They kept in touch with us while we are away so we could vacation without worry! Thank you SO much :)”

“Rodrigo and his family were wonderful with our dog! April was a little nervous at drop-off, but Rodrigo made sure she settled in quickly and was comfortable throughout her stay. He sent regular photo updates, which gave us so much peace of mind, and made sure she got her walks and meals on schedule. When we picked her up, she was happy and clearly well looked after. He was also flexible when we needed to shorten her stay by a night. Highly recommend Rodrigo for pet boarding we’ll definitely book with him again for April!”

About: I'm 22, I've had animals my entire existence including reptiles. I live on 4 acres of mostly fenced in yard for your babies to run around. I'm flexible on anything you need for your babies. (And I can babysit your reptiles) I currently have no job but I'm looking for a part-time so I can continue to focus on meeting all sorts of new animals that need somewhere to snooze and play. I have a mostly fenced yard, three doggos that are super friendly to everything. I have experience with vet medicine and crate training. I have LOTS of safe dog toys that need to be played with.
“Our pup had a fabulous time as always at his second home. He loves the chance to run, play and explore with this buddies and we rest easy knowing he is in Jacqueline and Jamie's extremely capable hands!”

“I can’t recommend Lei enough! We started with a meet and greet near her place at the park. She was calm and super friendly. She asked all the right questions regarding my pup - what he likes, doesn’t like, his schedules, routines etc - all questions that indicate that she has his best interest at heart. Throughout my pup’s stay, she sent an abundance of updates with pictures. Ollie seemed super comfortable and well taken care of. So much so that I can tell he misses her now that he’s home with us! I will be picking Lei every single time from this point forward.”

“Daniel and Sarah were great with our dogs. This was the first stay and we felt very comfortable leaving Paf and Malina for an overnight stay. We received several photos and the next day when I went to pickup dogs they were calm and and well taken care of. We will be back for sure!”

“Excellent service for us and my tiny pup. Joanna is very kind and caring for the dog and was very responsive when planning and answering questions. Awesome experience.”

“Frankie and Gus had a great stay with Kirstin & Justin. They provided updates throughout their stay, were flexible with drop off and pick up times. We would definitely book with them again. They came home happy pups!”

“Kavya took care of Bailey while we were away. Bailey made herself at home and was treated like family! I received news and photos every few days, it was perfect! Thanks!”

“Laura did a fantastic job looking after my two pups! They stayed with her for a few days while I was away, and seemed to have themselves a great visit. She looked after so many of the details to make sure they were as well cared for as possible, adapting to each of their temperaments and needs. I highly recommend her. You can tell she has really big heart and will work to make sure your animals feel as at-home as possible : )”

“Our boys had a fantastic week with Heather and her family. We had a great vacation knowing they had settled in just like home. They both came home happy and tired, Ducky from exploring Heathers home and Bentley, from long walks, outings and adventures, thank you!”

“Meghan and Jon took great care of our nervous dog and made her feel like part of the family during her first boarding experience. Would recommend them and hope to have an opportunity to board Charlie with them again in the future”

“Christopher and his partner were fantastic sitters for my dog Monty. They took him out for multiple walks a day, kept him to his usual routine and updated us with plenty of photos. They were receptive to any asks/questions that we had and also took the time to ask me necessary questions to take care of my dog. Would recommend to anyone!”

“Tanya was awesome as we were a last minute booking. In Ottawa for our son’s wedding we quickly realized our senior dog needed company the night of the wedding and used Rover for the first time. How lucky we are to have found Tanya and have a great experience. Our dog had a sleepover with her and her fur babies and wasn’t lonely one second! And we were able to enjoy the wedding stress free knowing he was well taken care of. Thank you Tanya!”

Our maine coon cat is quite shy and timid but Jasmine is a perfect sitter for him, happy to play and spoke to him so sweetly you could tell immediately she was amazing with cats. Will use her pet sitting services again in the future and recommend.”

“Jessica is absolutely fantastic! She arrived at the same time every day which allowed for a consistent schedule for our 5 cats. They all went to her with tails up and all her pictures showed super happy cats! The is the first time I’ve travelled for a business trip and didn’t worry at all about the cats or the house. About: My childhood cat had many litters of kittens, so I have been around cats a lot growing up. I did the usual responsibilities such as cleaning their litter boxes, feeding them, to the fun bonding experiences like playing with them with a laser pointer, to cuddling with them on the couch, to observing and playing with the kittens when they were really young. My cat was like my best friend. I had her for nearly 20 years and we were very close. She would always sleep with me when going to bed and whenever I was upset or having a hard day, she would come and find me and comfort me by staying with me.

About: Cats have been a constant source of companionship and comfort for me throughout my entire life, and I cherish every moment I spend together with them. I find that most cats are very resilient and adapt well to various environments. They are simply curious and enjoy exploring new surroundings. As most people who have owned pets for most their lives unfortunately there comes a time when your beloved friend gets sick or simply starts getting old. We have experience administering diabetes shots or simply antibiotics. In our home we like to use pretty litter because it helps us stay on top of our cats health. A simple UTI infection can be caught and dealt with in a timely manner before your cat starts to experience much pain and discomfort. As we like to say in our home, your fur baby will receive the same love, attention and dedication they get at home with you. We do our absolute best to accommodate whatever needs they may have. We have a baby gate we can put up if your pet needs a minute alone to eat special food if they are on a specific diet. Treats are available at your behest, only what you allow is what we will provide.

About: I’ve had cats since I was little, so being around them has always felt natural to me. I recently don’t have any of my own, which honestly just makes me miss spending time with them even more. I’m comfortable with different personalities, from super social cats to more shy or independent ones, and I know how important patience and routine are for them. I genuinely enjoy caring for cats and making sure they feel comfortable, relaxed, and well looked after.

“Katie was excellent, she accommodated our older cats' need for several checkins each day, giving him his medication and helping him to get up and walk, and to take care of him when an accident happened. She also provided frequent updates and was quick to respond to us. We would highly recommend Katie to anyone.”
About: Hi! I’m Adrienne. Caring for animals has always been something I genuinely enjoy, whether that’s going for long walks, providing companionship, or making sure they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I currently own two amazing dogs - a 9-year-old German Shepherd and a 4-year-old Alaskan Malamute mix - so I’m very familiar with caring for large, active breeds and understanding that every dog has their own unique personality and needs. I’m an active, reliable, and organized person who loves spending time outdoors. Whether your dog enjoys leisurely neighbourhood strolls, longer walks on local trails, or simply having someone to keep them company, I’d be happy to help. I have experience with dog walking, pet sitting, and caring for both dogs and cats, and I always treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to give you peace of mind while providing your pets with the love, attention, and care they deserve. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family members! I work for myself in Almonte so my schedule can (sometimes) be flexible! I work Tuesday - Saturday primarily and my days off are Sundays & Mondays. Fenced yard, non fenced yard, near water, crate trained, not crate trained, dog parks, walking in group, walking alone….. I’m confident in whatever makes your pet the most comfortable and happy.
About: About Kaitlyn I always had dogs growing up. I was employed at a dog daycare & boarding facility for 3 years and love being around dogs and creating a safe space for them to grow and learn! I am currently working full time throughout the months of April-November. During lay off season with work I do have a part time job during the week but willing do walk after work. 5:30 pm-7:00pm :) I am a firm believer in real emotional connection with dogs, just like people. Affection and creative play are my favourite activities, and on walks l aspire to create a comfortable environment to exercise and do their business. I'm not a professional dog trainer, but know the basic knowledge and skills for a nice, easy, and enjoyable walk!
About: My name is Tamara and I would love the pleasure to look after your dog when you're in need! I've had my own small dog for 14 years now, as well as a 1 year old large dog, and a kitten; so I know all of the love and work that goes into taking care of our little friends. I also have experience caring for farm animals (goats, sheep, and chickens)! My house is within walking distance of a vet and pet supplies, as well as right next to a long trail that is behind my backyard that your dog is sure to love! Since I have a dog myself, your friend will be doing everything with mine, so even if I'm away for an hour or so, they won't ever be by themselves! I'm able to follow any routine that you need and I'll make sure that you're furry friend feels as at home as possible. I work full time as a teacher (8-3), so I'm home pretty early every day. My pets are home while I'm gone, so your furry friend will never be alone. I leave puzzles and enrichment toys for them while I'm gone, and I even have a pet camera so that I can check in on them too. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me! I have a pet camera that you can tune into as well (while I'm gone), if that's something you'd be interested in. I will treat your furry friend just like I would my own; with love, care, and patience!

About: I do have neighbours who asked me to take care of their dogs and clients at my pet grooming salon that I used to work at I’m just taking some time off so I’m home all day. I have a 10-year-old spayed great Dane, who is updated on her vaccines. She’s a very nice dog, but is old and usually just sleeps all day. She is used to doggy daycare and I used to bring her to the daycare every day until she got a bit older and more tired. I love to go for a walks, but unfortunately, she can’t walk that long because of her hips. I would love to take dogs on long walks. I also offer bathing and nail clipping which I used to do at my job. I’ve run doggy daycare. So I’m pretty much familiar with every breed and their personalities. I honestly love dogs and they are allowed on my couch or anywhere they wanna go really. I’d be taking them out at least every two hours. I do take puppies also and do my best to train with potty training and walking without pulling and sitting while asked. I’ve trained my great Dane very well. She listens on command and never pulls me while walking. I used to take her on a busy road. And we do a few steps and then I would ask her to sit and once she did sit, we would continue our walk if she pulled I would ask her to sit again and then we would continue our walk. I’ve also trained dogs at work and that’s part of the whole daycare job also with jumping dogs and potty training. Neighbours have asked me to babysit their dogs as well as clients at the pet grooming salon. I honestly love all breeds of dogs and your dog or puppy will be in great hands and I also allow them in my car. I don’t currently work right now. I am on a leave and that’s why I would love to take care of pets during my free time. I’m usually home all day unless I go to the grocery store, but that’s about it. If I’m not home, my fiancé is. My children are also great with dogs and cats. Currently, I only offer boarding in my house. I allow them to go on the couch on my bed basically my house is a home for them. They won’t be crated unless they’re used to be crated and if that’s what you prefer. But I would never crate a dog unless specified by the owner.

About: I’ve had puppies, kittens, even 10-day-old kittens that needed around-the-clock bottle feeding and care, so I’m no stranger to the messy, adorable, and sometimes chaotic side of pet parenting! I’ll also keep you updated with regular messages and photos so you always know how your pet is doing.

“Katie is the most reliable, most trustworthy dog lover I have ever had since I got rover years ago. My dog has leash anxiety and freaks out about the strangest things. Katie deals with that no problem, her loving and calm demeanor is exactly what my pup needs. And now Pippi waits for her daily walkie with Katie at the door in anticipation. She takes her for longer walks on days the dog is full of beans and will play with her in the yard on days its too hot or rainy. Katie is there for the dog and always treats my baby with love. I’m highly respectful of your dogs’ individual needs, if they have a routine to follow and I will do whatever is needed to ensure that you feel comfortable with leaving your furry friend in my care—I will treat your pet as my own. Prior to scheduling, I like to do a face-to-face meeting before beginning my services. I am available days, early evenings and the occasional weekend for clients who are scheduling regularly. When caring for your loved one(s), I will begin by assessing your dogs’ behavior and comfort level upon each visit. I am highly respectful of house rules and routines and will always advocate for your pet. **PRICING & SCHEDULING** Please contact me for pricing and service schedules as prices listed on Rover are not firm. “Alecia is great! Lily is high energy but she is very happy and tired out by the time Alecia brings her home. She even looks out for my cat Kiki when they go for walks! Would definitely recommend her.”
About: Long before petsitting became a commoditized business, Debbie Ozarko was on the Ottawa scene bringing joy to the lives of dogs and their people with her dog walking service, "We Take the Dogs Out" in 2000. This eventually morphed into, "It’s a Ruff Life Doggie Daycare" which thrived until her move to the British Columbia coast in 2013. Her love for such beautiful intimacy with animals has only deepened over time, and with her return to the Ottawa area she is eager to offer her exceptional services once again. Debbie is also a long-time volunteer with the Rideau Valley Wildlife Sanctuary and the IFAW Northern Dogs Project. Animals truly are her life. Debbie brings it back to what is most meaningful for all: respect, integrity and generosity of spirit—for you, and for your furry, fuzzy and feathered animal companions. Animals are my life! It doesn't matter if they are residents are not, they are all treated with love, kindness, respect, and compassion. My schedule is constructed around their needs first. I have access to several quiet areas where field, forest and streams abound for off-leash romps. If dogs are better with on-leash walks, I'm happy to take them to green spaces where they have access to lots of sniffing to satiate that deep primal canine need. I also provide healthy, grain-free treats...just because. Of course, I offer only these with your approval beforehand.
About: I am a registered veterinary technician who works at an emergency clinic. I have been working with animals my whole life. I have been fostering dogs for the last 5 years, providing them with training and helping them find their forever homes once they are ready. I have recently started boarding dogs at my house as I moved to a farm and had the land and space to run them and give them everything they need. I would offer additional services with my boarding if the client would like, these services would included training, nail trims, ear cleanings, etc. I have two high energy dogs who need a lot of time running off leash per day. I am always taking them in the bush, on the trails, on hikes or on bike rides to tire them out. The best suited dog to board with me would be one that is successful off leash with recall, as we spend 2 hours per day off leash in the bush as well as off leash time in my yard. I live on 5 acres so there is many opportunity to run and play. My dogs are very good with new dogs coming into our home as they are use to me bringing home new fosters very often. Both of them are crate trained, place trained and e collar trained and are very respectful of other dogs space. They like to wrestle and play when the time is right, and know when it is time to rest. My dogs know that outside is play time, and when we are inside that is their time to rest either on their beds or in their crates.

They were sending photos everyday, responsive when I'd message them, and it is very clear how loving they are to Simba. Simba was so excited seeing them again, and we had a lot of peace during our vacation knowing he was in their care. Definitely going to reach out to Eduardo and Ana next time he needs a sitter.”
