“Nicole and Eddie were wonderful with Daisy. They gave her lots of loving attention, took her on many walks with their dog, Keyser. They also took her to the pet store and had other activities planned for her during her stay. Keyser and Daisy get along well and are a good match for each other. We felt very confident leaving Daisy with Nicole and Eddie while we were on vacation, and loved the photos they sent us showing Daisy was having lots of fun.”

“I had never boarded our 8 year old chocolate lab before so I was nervous to leave him. Kim made us feel comfortable with plenty of pictures and updates throughout the week. They dogs got along great, enjoyed the whole house and she even let him sleep on the bed. I can’t say enough great things about this experience. She noticed his ears were bothering him and took the time to clean them (which he doesn’t normally let anyone do but me). Thank you Kim! ❤️”

About: Hi, I’m Shannon. I provide a calm, clean, and structured home environment where your dog will feel safe, relaxed, and genuinely cared for in a countryside environment. As a healthcare professional and experienced dog sport handler, I naturally pay close attention to detail, routines, and subtle changes in behaviour, ensuring your pet’s well-being is always a top priority. I keep my bookings small so each dog receives personalized care, consistent routines, and meaningful one-on-one attention. My home is best suited for dogs who thrive in a quieter environment, including seniors or those who may feel overwhelmed in busy kennel settings. I also have experience accommodating puppies and high-energy dogs in various stages of training. I work from home, which allows me to provide a consistent, supervised routine where your dog receives plenty of structure, attention, and meaningful interaction throughout the day. My child is very dog savvy and trains dogs as junior handler on our flyball club. I attend dog training classes with my own dogs. When appropriate and with your approval, your dog is welcome to join for a safe and enriching outing, including a secured car ride and a supervised “sniff safari” or work recalls at the training facility. During the summer months, I also participate in dog sport tournaments, which may involve travel and on-site camping 4–6 hours away. For clients who are comfortable, dogs are welcome to join these structured adventure experiences. Participation is always optional and discussed in advance to ensure it’s the right fit for your dog. I offer a dedicated dog space equipped with crates, comfortable bedding, fresh water, and access to a secure dog run, along with a large, fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time. We also have the executive suite, which is a play pen for boarding dogs and especially for puppies and seniors. I have extensive experience with senior dogs and those with special needs, including administering medications, supplements, dietary needs kibble and raw feeding, caring for deaf or blind animals. With over 12 years in competitive dog sports, I am also skilled in handling puppies, high-energy dogs, reactivity (such as barking or anxiety), and resource guarding. Please note: while I am experienced with behavioural challenges, I do not accept dogs with a history of aggression or biting. This is to ensure the safety of all dogs in my care, as well as my young child at home. For safety, all boarding dogs must be crate trained and comfortable with overnight crating. This helps maintain a calm and structured environment. During the day, dogs are welcome on furniture and can enjoy a relaxed, home-like setting. You can expect regular updates, photos and videos, a clean and safe space, and the peace of mind that your dog is being cared for like family.
“Shelley is THE BEST! Bella loves her, her family, and the doggy friends she made there. I’ve used Shelley twice now and I couldn’t be happier with the care, the comms, the pics, etc. Shelley even follows up with me to see how Bella is feeling after noticing she wasn’t her best. Highly recommend.”

“Molson was very well taken care by Lynda. Lynda is very responsive and provided plenty of updates throughout Molson’s stay with her. She keeps the dogs very clean and did the same for Molson too. Over all our experience with Lynda was extremely positive and would have no issues leaving Molson with her in the future. Thanks again Lynda!”

“Kirstin and Justin were amazing with my dog! They sent multiple daily photo updates and even coordinated a meeting one week prior to our booking to ensure a smooth stay. We’ll definitely book with them again in the future.”

“Johanna is a kind and incredibly reliable dog watcher who truly treats pets like family. Cosmo needs a bit of time to trust new people, and she gave him the space, calm energy & gentle reassurance he needed. We felt completely at ease knowing she respected his personality, made him feel safe and comfortable. He was relaxed, well‑fed and happy when we picked him up. We are very grateful and will happily book with her again.”

“Thank you Hui for sharing your home with Piper. We loved getting all the video updates while we were away. We’re also pretty sure Piper thought she was at Doggie Summer Camp with how much fun she had. Special thanks for added attention and care during extra hot summer days.”

“I felt very confident leaving my cat with Cristina for a week. Kitty was very content and well cared for while we were gone and came home very content and unfazed and settled right back seamlessly. This is our second time with Cristina and we will definitely be back. Thank you Cristina!”

“Radish had a great time! She was well cared for and enjoyed her mini vacation as much as we enjoyed ours knowing she was well taken care of! This warm home gave her lots of exercise and cuddles and was clearly interested in providing the best possible care…highly recommend!”

“Farley had a fantastic stay. Jocelyn & Jason were wonderful to deal with and very friendly. They truly seemed to enjoy having our doggy visit and were very accommodating to our plans changing. Highly recommend!”

“I cannot recommend Jackie and Jamie enough! Charlie had the best time with them in a truly loving and fun environment. It was like a vacation for him, filled with affection and plenty of furry friends to play with. Jackie sent tons of pictures with lots of updates to help me know how Charlie was settling in. We will definitely be back!”

“I can’t recommend Lei enough! We started with a meet and greet near her place at the park. She was calm and super friendly. She asked all the right questions regarding my pup - what he likes, doesn’t like, his schedules, routines etc - all questions that indicate that she has his best interest at heart. Throughout my pup’s stay, she sent an abundance of updates with pictures. Ollie seemed super comfortable and well taken care of. So much so that I can tell he misses her now that he’s home with us! I will be picking Lei every single time from this point forward.”

“Jacinta and her family were fantastic with Kele! I was worried that he'd feel abandoned and uncomfortable in a strange place, but I had absolutely nothing to worry about. The whole family loved him and respected his initial wariness of the kids. They are all 'dog people', and he soon settled in like they were his second family. Lots of playing and walks and swimming and love! I'm thrilled to have found the perfect home away from home for Kele, and I will definitely take him there whenever I go away, knowing that he is in excellent hands.”

“Kim and her family are amazing . Greeting us very warm. Coco loved her and her family . I picked her up happy 😊. Kim was great of updating me all the time with pictures too . I highly recommend her she will take a good care of your dog specially she has a friendly dog as well . Thanks Kim for your time and taking a good care of Coco”

“Tanya and her daughter were amazing with our dog Maggie. Tanya sent daily reports about how Maggie's day went along with many photos. Maggie had a great time with Tanya, her daughter and their three dogs, was well cared for, and was treated like part of the family. I have already booked another stay!”

“We were incredibly happy with Michaela. Our dog settled in right away, and was very well cared for. Michaela even went the extra mile in trimming her nails! Thank you, Michaela!”

“Madeleine was fantastic. She communicated with me and was quick to reply. My pup, who has anxiety and is an old grump came back in great shape and I don’t believe he missed us at all!! Thank you so much”

“Cadence is such a great and thoughtful sitter! We enjoyed the report cards immensely, and she went the extra mile in taking care of things during winter. Our cat just loved her, and it was a relief not to have to worry about things and just enjoy Christmas! This was our first time using Rover and she made it an absolute breeze. Your cat is in good hands with her ☺️”

“Cassie was super communicative, easy to work with, and great with my cats. She was even able to extend her visits when my flight back got delayed. It’s such a comfort to know my kitties are well taken care of when I’m away. Thank you so much, Cassie!”

“Very accommodating. Pleasant to chat with and followed our wishes to a tee. Our maine coon cat is quite shy and timid but Jasmine is a perfect sitter for him, happy to play and spoke to him so sweetly you could tell immediately she was amazing with cats. Will use her pet sitting services again in the future and recommend.”

“Thanks for taking care of my pets over the Holidays! I came home to happy, well care for pets. The litter had been cleaned and my condo was clean. I would definitely book with Brittany again.”

About: I’m a lifelong cat lover and proud cat parent. My cat Alfred and I have been on many road trips, camping trips, and all kinds of adventures. I love getting to know each cat’s unique personality—whether they’re shy, independent, playful, or a little dramatic—and making sure every visit is fun, safe, and full of attention. I spoil my own cat (and love spoiling others!) with treats, cuddles, playtime, and lots of positive energy. My goal is simple: to make your cat feel happy, relaxed, and loved, while giving you peace of mind that they’re in experienced, caring hands. Whether it’s snuggles, interactive play, or keeping routines consistent, I’m ready to make every visit a positive experience for you and your furry friend.

About: Cats have been a constant source of companionship and comfort for me throughout my entire life, and I cherish every moment I spend together with them. I find that most cats are very resilient and adapt well to various environments. They are simply curious and enjoy exploring new surroundings. As most people who have owned pets for most their lives unfortunately there comes a time when your beloved friend gets sick or simply starts getting old. We have experience administering diabetes shots or simply antibiotics. In our home we like to use pretty litter because it helps us stay on top of our cats health. A simple UTI infection can be caught and dealt with in a timely manner before your cat starts to experience much pain and discomfort. As we like to say in our home, your fur baby will receive the same love, attention and dedication they get at home with you. We do our absolute best to accommodate whatever needs they may have. We have a baby gate we can put up if your pet needs a minute alone to eat special food if they are on a specific diet. Treats are available at your behest, only what you allow is what we will provide.
“Victoria is amazing ! My cat is usually timid but Victoria found a way to make her feel comfortable. She sent me updates after each drop in visits which I really appreciated !”

About: I operated my own cat sitting and dog walking business in Stittsville from 2017-2020. I offer cat drop-ins in the comfort of your home so that your kitties routines can stay as normal as possible! I have experience dropping in for cats of all kinds and handling anything from shy cats to outgoing ones! I am always willing to handle your cat’s care in the best way to make sure you can enjoy your time away with ease.
About: My name is Tamara and I would love the pleasure to look after your dog when you're in need! I've had my own small dog for 14 years now, as well as a 1 year old large dog, and a kitten; so I know all of the love and work that goes into taking care of our little friends. I also have experience caring for farm animals (goats, sheep, and chickens)! My house is within walking distance of a vet and pet supplies, as well as right next to a long trail that is behind my backyard that your dog is sure to love! Since I have a dog myself, your friend will be doing everything with mine, so even if I'm away for an hour or so, they won't ever be by themselves! I'm able to follow any routine that you need and I'll make sure that you're furry friend feels as at home as possible. I work full time as a teacher (8-3), so I'm home pretty early every day. My pets are home while I'm gone, so your furry friend will never be alone. I leave puzzles and enrichment toys for them while I'm gone, and I even have a pet camera so that I can check in on them too. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me! I have a pet camera that you can tune into as well (while I'm gone), if that's something you'd be interested in. I will treat your furry friend just like I would my own; with love, care, and patience!

About: I’ve had kittens, senior cats, and even 10-day-old kittens that needed around-the-clock bottle feeding, so I’m very comfortable with cats at every stage (and every mood)! I’ve grown up with cats my entire life, and my fur babies are truly my pride and joy. I understand that every cat has their own personality - from cuddly lap lovers to independent little observers - and I’m happy to meet them exactly where they’re at. Whether it’s playtime, feeding, litter care, or just keeping them company, I treat every cat like they’re my own. And of course… expect plenty of cute photo updates of your kitty living their best life!

“Jenna is awesome! She takes fantastic care of my cats, they love her. She's reliable, a good communicator and I fully trust her to make decisions when I'm not there. Thank you Jenna!”

About: My childhood cat had many litters of kittens, so I have been around cats a lot growing up. I did the usual responsibilities such as cleaning their litter boxes, feeding them, to the fun bonding experiences like playing with them with a laser pointer, to cuddling with them on the couch, to observing and playing with the kittens when they were really young. My cat was like my best friend. I had her for nearly 20 years and we were very close. She would always sleep with me when going to bed and whenever I was upset or having a hard day, she would come and find me and comfort me by staying with me.
About: About Kaitlyn I always had dogs growing up. I was employed at a dog daycare & boarding facility for 3 years and love being around dogs and creating a safe space for them to grow and learn! “Taylor did a great job dropping in to look after my cats over a couple of days. Being able to pay special attention to each of their behaviours and needs is much appreciated. I'm sure we'll become a repeat client!”

I would totally recommend their services.”

“Rodrigo and his mother took great care of Zoey! It was our first time leaving her away from us, so we were a bit nervous, especially because she’s still a young puppy and needs a lot of attention. They were very understanding, patient, and caring with her, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. Rodrigo also sent us many updates throughout the day, which really helped us feel reassured and connected while she was with them. We could tell she was well looked after and in good hands. I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and kind to care for their dog!”

About: Loving dog sitter providing warm cuddles, gentle care, and a calm, cozy home where your little companion feels safe, happy, and truly loved every day. Pet care fits naturally into my routine since I work from home. I’m available throughout the day for walks, feeding, playtime, bathroom breaks, and plenty of cuddles and supervision. Safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced backyard for secure outdoor time, plus a park directly behind my home with plenty of walking trails for safe, enriching walks.
About: I’ve been showing dogs since the age of six, which has taught me how to handle different breeds of all ages and sizes. Outside the show ring I take on grooming; ex. trimming coats, nails and cleaning ears. I’m a lover of all dog breeds and would love to take care of your pup, whether it be through walking them or checking in while you’re away. I am a University student home for the summer. Although I work from 12:30-6pm Tuesday-Friday and 10-3pm Saturdays, I’m happy to care for your pet the rest of the day. Walks help get myself and your dog active while drop-ins help to relax and unwind from daily stress. Puppies; I have taken care of many puppies who have gone through all stages, and am well aware of the importance of the person and environment they are raised around. Due to this, I will gladly offer light training on the side (ie. preventing biting and jumping up) without additional fees but I understand if this is not necessary. Majority of visits will focus on play and working your pup’s mind to prevent under stimulation. Middle age; Visits will focus around both play and rest, the ratio varying on the breed. I will gladly play with any dog as well as ensuring they are calmed down before I leave to prevent frustration. Seniors; As someone with an old girl myself, I greatly understand the struggles of administering medications and the work that goes in to owning a veteran. I understand a plethora of massage techniques and will gladly help relieve any muscle pain your dog my experience without additional fees. In terms pf activity level, I will adjust depending on the dog, although with older ones I will be consistently watching to ensure they don’t stress their joints.

“Laura is so nice and kind. Willow loves going to her house. Laura sends you pictures and videos and it make me feel great to see willow so happy on her walks and sleeping so peaceful. I would recommend Laura to watch your dog. This was my second time and I will continue to let Laura watch Willow”

About: Not only have I had pets my whole life, but I’ve been trusted by family, friends and neighbours to pet sit since I was 13. Ive pet sit for cats, dogs and birds. I do not currently have any pets in my apartment but my roommate and I have cat sit multiple times in the past 3 months for some friends! I am enthusiastic about animals and love to come up with games and activities that are mentally (and physically) stimulating for them! I work full time from 9-5 (not remotely) Monday to Friday. I can stop in at lunch as well if needed! I head straight home after work and would be able to walk/play with your pets before/after those hours. I am home on the weekends and am happy to take your pet for runs (I love to run), walks, and to parks to play some games (on a long leash). I live in a house with an unfenced backyard. All pets are welcome on the couches and beds! :) We have many dog parks and large fenced areas I can take your pet out to! If I am going to your home, I would make sure some cuddle/attention time is allotted separate from the walks and adventures we will go on.
“Nicole and Eddie were great, I needed someone to walk my dogs when I went into labour, they were very flexible with planning and quick to respond when I needed them last minute. They were on time for all walks, and our dogs seemed to have a great time!”

“Jessica is amazing! Communication is great, she is friendly, knowledgeable, caring. She takes my dog for walks and my dog loves it. I highly recommend her, I have booked with Jessica a couple of times now and will continue to book with her :)”

About: I’ve had puppies, kittens, even 10-day-old kittens that needed around-the-clock bottle feeding and care, so I’m no stranger to the messy, adorable, and sometimes chaotic side of pet parenting! I’ve grown up with animals my entire life, and my fur babies are truly my pride and joy. I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family - whether that means long walks, playtime, cuddles, or just making sure they feel safe and loved while you’re away. I’m comfortable with pets of all ages and needs. You can expect lots of updates, photos, and peace of mind knowing your pet is in caring, experienced hands I work from home during the week and have very flexible hours, so it's easy for me to accomadate your schedule to make your fur baby feel as comfortable as possible while you're gone. Other than Sunday morning church services, my weekends are completely open to you! When caring for pets in a client’s home, my goal is to keep everything as consistent and stress-free as possible for them. I follow your pet’s routine closely - including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any specific instructions you provide. I’m also very mindful of keeping your home clean and respected, leaving things exactly as I found them (or better!). As someone who has 3 cats who's main goal in life is to escape to the great outdoors (and fails every time), safety is always a top priority, so I stay alert on walks, secure doors and gates, and keep a close eye on your pet’s behaviour and well-being. I’ll also keep you updated with regular messages and photos so you always know how your pet is doing.
About: Joelhyn has been a dog walker and dog sitter since she was about 14 or 15 years old. She started by babysitting and those families entrusted her with their pets while the family was away, to care for and clean their dogs and cats. She also walked dogs for some of the older neighbours in the area who couldn’t do it themselves anymore. Shes taken many different kinds of dogs on walks, given them baths, fed them to specific instructions and played with them till the sun went down! Kyle has owned pets his whole life, always having two dogs in the house as well as two cats and various types of reptiles or rodents throughout the household too, so specific instructions for pets is not uncommon for him. He loves to play with any type of pet & loves to go on walks with them. Joelhyn is currently working and in school both part time but would love to spend her spare days with your lovely furry friends! Kyle is in school part time as well & we both own vehicles so getting around is no problem for us! One of us should always be available to care for your pets! Bigger dogs will almost always go to Kyle but he loves the smaller pets too! Assuring doors or gates are closed before bringing animals outside & always ensuring collars and leashes are on before going outside and before leaving a clients home. Walking dogs in a safe area and making sure to give them lots of time to walk or run as well as bringing poop bags to properly dispose of later on. We would love to do a meet and greet so you feel comfortable with us & get to know your pet!

“Katie is the most reliable, most trustworthy dog lover I have ever had since I got rover years ago. My dog has leash anxiety and freaks out about the strangest things. Katie deals with that no problem, her loving and calm demeanor is exactly what my pup needs. And now Pippi waits for her daily walkie with Katie at the door in anticipation. She takes her for longer walks on days the dog is full of beans and will play with her in the yard on days its too hot or rainy. Katie is there for the dog and always treats my baby with love. Katie is THE ONE.”

I’m highly respectful of your dogs’ individual needs, if they have a routine to follow and I will do whatever is needed to ensure that you feel comfortable with leaving your furry friend in my care—I will treat your pet as my own. Prior to scheduling, I like to do a face-to-face meeting before beginning my services. I am available days, early evenings and the occasional weekend for clients who are scheduling regularly. When caring for your loved one(s), I will begin by assessing your dogs’ behavior and comfort level upon each visit. I am highly respectful of house rules and routines and will always advocate for your pet. **PRICING & SCHEDULING** Please contact me for pricing and service schedules as prices listed on Rover are not firm. About: Long before petsitting became a commoditized business, Debbie Ozarko was on the Ottawa scene bringing joy to the lives of dogs and their people with her dog walking service, "We Take the Dogs Out" in 2000. This eventually morphed into, "It’s a Ruff Life Doggie Daycare" which thrived until her move to the British Columbia coast in 2013. Her love for such beautiful intimacy with animals has only deepened over time, and with her return to the Ottawa area she is eager to offer her exceptional services once again. Debbie is also a long-time volunteer with the Rideau Valley Wildlife Sanctuary and the IFAW Northern Dogs Project. Animals truly are her life. Debbie brings it back to what is most meaningful for all: respect, integrity and generosity of spirit—for you, and for your furry, fuzzy and feathered animal companions. Animals are my life! It doesn't matter if they are residents are not, they are all treated with love, kindness, respect, and compassion. My schedule is constructed around their needs first. I have access to several quiet areas where field, forest and streams abound for off-leash romps. If dogs are better with on-leash walks, I'm happy to take them to green spaces where they have access to lots of sniffing to satiate that deep primal canine need. I also provide healthy, grain-free treats...just because. Of course, I offer only these with your approval beforehand.
About: I am a registered veterinary technician who works at an emergency clinic. I have been working with animals my whole life. I have been fostering dogs for the last 5 years, providing them with training and helping them find their forever homes once they are ready. I have recently started boarding dogs at my house as I moved to a farm and had the land and space to run them and give them everything they need. I would offer additional services with my boarding if the client would like, these services would included training, nail trims, ear cleanings, etc. I have two high energy dogs who need a lot of time running off leash per day. I am always taking them in the bush, on the trails, on hikes or on bike rides to tire them out. The best suited dog to board with me would be one that is successful off leash with recall, as we spend 2 hours per day off leash in the bush as well as off leash time in my yard. I live on 5 acres so there is many opportunity to run and play. My dogs are very good with new dogs coming into our home as they are use to me bringing home new fosters very often. Both of them are crate trained, place trained and e collar trained and are very respectful of other dogs space. They like to wrestle and play when the time is right, and know when it is time to rest. My dogs know that outside is play time, and when we are inside that is their time to rest either on their beds or in their crates.

“Kirstin and Justin were amazing with my dog! They sent multiple daily photo updates and even coordinated a meeting one week prior to our booking to ensure a smooth stay. We’ll definitely book with them again in the future.”

“Janice and Rene were absolutely wonderful with Avro! They were incredibly friendly, easy to communicate with, and kept us updated with photos and messages throughout his stay. It was clear from every update that Avro was having a fantastic time and felt right at home with their family. We couldn't have asked for better caregivers and would happily trust them with Avro again in the future.”

“Kavya took care of Bailey while we were away. Bailey made herself at home and was treated like family! I received news and photos every few days, it was perfect! Thanks!”

“Michelle and her family were absolutely great with Louis 😊 I had no worries at all while I was out of town. We got picture updates throughout the day. I would definitely be rebooking! Thank you again!”

“I recently left my dog, Aadhi, with Rodrigo family for three days, and I couldn’t be happier with the care the family provided. They made sure Aadhi was well-fed, received his medications on time, and got plenty of playtime and walks. They provided updates multiple times a day. They shared photos and videos. When I brought Aadhi back to Rodrigo’s home the next day, he was so excited that he ran straight inside—proof of how comfortable and happy he felt there. It gave me such peace of mind knowing he was in such capable and caring hands. I will definitely be trusting Rodrigo with Aadhi again in the future and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate dog sitter!”

“Oh what a relief to find a caregiver that loves our pup as much as we do! Alaina was incredible- sharing videos and photos and reassuring this nervous puppy mom! Thank you to Alaina and her son for taking such good care of our boy!”

“Kaori is a pro! She was an extremely lovely and thoughtful pet sitter for our lab (Penny). Lots of walks, amazing pictures and updates. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking services!”

“Susana was great with Nugget- very consistent communication throughout the stay. She was very patient with him as he adjusted to a new location. You can tell their whole family loves having pups in their care.”
