Experienced Dog Handler
Hi, I’m Shannon. I provide a calm, clean, and structured home environment where your dog will feel safe, relaxed, and genuinely cared for in a countryside environment. As a healthcare professional and experienced dog sport handler, I naturally pay close attention to detail, routines, and subtle changes in behaviour, ensuring your pet’s well-being is always a top priority. I keep my bookings small so each dog receives personalized care, consistent routines, and meaningful one-on-one attention. My home is best suited for dogs who thrive in a quieter environment, including seniors or those who may feel overwhelmed in busy kennel settings. I also have experience accommodating puppies and high-energy dogs in various stages of training.

Ratings and reviews
Shannon is amazing!! My dogs love her so much and I feel so confident when she has my dogs when I’m away that they are getting the best care. They get so excited when they see her, they love their Auntie Shay!!! I always get lots of updates on the fun they are having, she’s very responsive and keeps you up to date everyday! Highly recommend Shannon for boarding, hands down!
Shannon has been absolutely wonderful with our little Cavalier. Shannon showed us around her space for the pups, including her spacious fenced-in yard. Shannon prepares a dedicated pillow for our puppy every time she comes over. Our Cavalier is always excited to go and spend time with her friends. I also appreciate Shannon sending pictures and the love and pride she shows in taking care of our puppy. Shannon's home is a second home for our puppy. I would highly recommend Shannon.
Shannon is a born dog mom! She has 3 of her own pups who are well loved, well trained, members of the family and she has graciously watched our dogs and our friends dogs to accommodate family vacations etc. Shannon has a dedicated space for pups, a fenced yard and beautiful property. I would recommend Shannon to care for your furry family member, they will be well loved and cared for!!
Shannon took care of my high drive bully when I had surgery. My dog was treated as familly, she enjoyed her time and I knew she would be safe there. If any of my dogs need a spot Shannon place is a good one. I would recommend her to any of my friends.

Schedule
I work from home, which allows me to provide a consistent, supervised routine where your dog receives plenty of structure, attention, and meaningful interaction throughout the day. My child is very dog savvy and trains dogs as junior handler on our flyball club. I attend dog training classes with my own dogs. When appropriate and with your approval, your dog is welcome to join for a safe and enriching outing, including a secured car ride and a supervised “sniff safari” or work recalls at the training facility. During the summer months, I also participate in dog sport tournaments, which may involve travel and on-site camping 4–6 hours away. For clients who are comfortable, dogs are welcome to join these structured adventure experiences. Participation is always optional and discussed in advance to ensure it’s the right fit for your dog.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I offer a dedicated dog space equipped with crates, comfortable bedding, fresh water, and access to a secure dog run, along with a large, fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time. We also have the executive suite, which is a play pen for boarding dogs and especially for puppies and seniors. I have extensive experience with senior dogs and those with special needs, including administering medications, supplements, dietary needs kibble and raw feeding, caring for deaf or blind animals. With over 12 years in competitive dog sports, I am also skilled in handling puppies, high-energy dogs, reactivity (such as barking or anxiety), and resource guarding. Please note: while I am experienced with behavioural challenges, I do not accept dogs with a history of aggression or biting. This is to ensure the safety of all dogs in my care, as well as my young child at home. For safety, all boarding dogs must be crate trained and comfortable with overnight crating. This helps maintain a calm and structured environment. During the day, dogs are welcome on furniture and can enjoy a relaxed, home-like setting. You can expect regular updates, photos and videos, a clean and safe space, and the peace of mind that your dog is being cared for like family.
