At the moment I spend lots of time home as I have a small residential cleaning business in town and work a relaxed schedule. I tend to work mornings and be home around lunch time. Few times a week I also work in a doggy daycare and what's the best part of the job? Well obviously being around dogs, but also the fact, that I can bring my boarders with me free of charge! :) Clients have also the option to ask for their pups to not attend, no questions asked. I don't allow for drop off before 7am or after 9pm - if you have an emergency or last minute change please let me know as soon as possible. Working dogs and high prey drive dogs welcomed! I have tons of working toys and tools at home, including a dog treadmill. :)) ONLY 2 dogs at a time (3 if smaller breed) NO dog parks during the stay

Staying at my house is not a typical boarding stay. We do a lot of fun stuff - that's what small scale boarding should be about! That includes hiking, biking in the woods, playing outside or on the water if possible. I truly believe, that structure and routine is the key when it comes to not only training but also owning a dog. While physical stimulation is very important to any pet I try to make sure your dog also gets mentally stimulated which will help them relax in new enviroment and also help with their separation anxiety shall they have one. Tired dog is always a happy dog!

Let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviors, that needs to be addressed, including food sensitivities as well as medications that need to be followed up on. Please if your dogs is aggressive or "reactive" towards something - you need to notify me prior to their stay. They will not be denied boarding, but it will allow me to come up with a best strategy for them to enjoy their stay here.

Since I have a background in obedience work I love helping clients to succeed with their training and addressing variety of issues as well :) I hope that I can take some of the pressure of your shoulders when looking for a care, your pet will be in safe hands with me. It’s quite difficult for me and I believe many others, to leave a much loved dog in the care of anyone I do not know very well. Michaela’s calm approach seemed to immediately let my puppy relax and happily go with her. Seeing my Cali relax was definitely reassuring. Michaela also sent me a photo of Cali probably 30 minutes after I left, further convincing me that I had made a good decision in my choice of sitter! All around a very positive experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to choose Michaela again, to take care of Cali.
Michaela looked after our 7 year old Doberman mix for one weekend. Everything went very smoothly and we felt very comfortable throughout the process. Our pup was well looked after and is sure to return. Thank you Michaela.

Such a great experience working with Michaela! We have a very nervous pup and it was the first time leaving her. The very first night she warmed up to Michaela and by the end she did want to leave! Coco got tons of exercise, socialization and cuddles and I loved receiving the amazing updates with photos :) Coco also learned to walk/run off leash while we were away. 100% recommend Michaela and we will be connecting with her for all our future dog sitting needs!
