About: For as long as I can remember, I have always loved all pets and animals. Growing up in Italy, my family always loved to have a non-human family member to take care of. My fondest childhood memories were playing with our labrador retriever, Lola, and later adopting another dog named Spenk (named after a popular anime cartoon charater in Italy at the time) in my adolescence. We also had pet chipmunks at one time! I continued living with and taking care of dogs while I lived with host families in Austrailia and New Zealand in my 20s. When I moved to Canada and later met my now-wife, she was a dogsitter through Rover. It was through her that I was able to discover this opportunity and help her with the various responsibilities that came with petsitting. I find taking care of pets in this way to be so rewarding - it boosted my mood, and helped get me moving! Unfortunately, my wife is no longer able to continue being a petsitter due to the committments of her current full-time job. However, since moving to the National Capital Region, we have regularly watched our friends' pets, both at our house and theirs. We both agree, that we really hope to have a pet of our own one day, but for now the best way to fill that void is for me to continue petsitting. I always find it so exciting to have a new "friend" be apart of my day that I can't help but give them my undivided attention. No matter this age, size, or energy level of your pet, I will always stive to give them the exact amount of play, walks, bathroom breaks, treats, and overall attention they may need. We're very lucky to live in a very walk-able neighbourhood near the Gatineau River and Lac Leamy, so regular walks are doable. Pet owners need to have a great deal of trust in their petsitters. Whenever I watch pets, I love to have constant communication with the owner - sending them regular updates and photos throughout the day. Even if their pet is having no problems and seemingly a very happy time, it's still important that the owners know that so they feel more at ease. We thankfully have a very large backyard which would make bathroom breaks very easy, however, at the moment our yard is not fenced, so I would only feel comfortable taking them on bathroom breaks both on-leash and supervised. We're very lucky to live in a very walk-able neighbourhood near the Gatineau River and Lac Leamy, so regular walks are doable. Additionally, we live in a bungalow with a door that closes, so we can block off stairs if that is also a concern for you.

About: New to the Rover app but i have been around many different breeds of dogs in my life either friends,family,hiking & riding groups. Some breeds :Husky,Springer spaniel, Lab, Golden retriver,Australian,Shepherd,Rotwiller,Pitbull,Frenchy,Jack Russle,Samoyed I've been around many dog & always like to see new breeds & their traits . If people need a last minute sitter please see if you can’t book anything. I will play with your dog,keep them entertained with basic commands,trail walks/runs I live close to wooded areas and looking to keep busy in the down time. I thought it would be great to walk dogs in and around the wooded lands. There are multiple walking trails around the neighbourhood that i can bring your dog to explore. I have a huge fully fenced in yard. During the week i can schedule anything in the evenings for walks or early mornings visits Don't be shy call,txt get in touch and lets try to work something out :) I will Make sure to follow the owner’s rules for the safety of your pet, myself & others. When outside i’ll keep your dog restrained how you would recommend on our meets,always on leash or not if you suggest that your dog has good recall when playing fetch. To not let other dogs or people near a clients dog if the dog is uncomfortable Make sure dog energies are not over stimulated for any interactions! Grooming charges: will bathe,dry,brush,trim nails...bring me your equipment (Soap,Towel,Brush,Nail Clippers)

About: I’ve rescued dogs and cats since I was in my early 20s and have dedicated my life to giving them the best possible life. I also worked for a vet clinic and a professional pet sitter/walker for a total of 3 years. I am very experienced with all kinds of different breeds, every trigger and high energy. About: I’ve been watching dogs for 7 years now. I love all types of dogs. But the first dog I ever got close to was a pitbull. He was the first over night dog sit/house sit. I ever did, the couple would travel often due to work. So I would dog sit about 2/3 times a week. I did that for about two years and gained a lot of experience with dogs due to that job. I also find dog walking a great way to stay healthy and active with out it feeling like a work out. I’ve enjoyed dogging sitting ever since I started and don’t plan to stop. I’m currently a full time student online so I’m looking to make cash while staying active and happy and what a better way than to pet sit. Even the pups you think won’t, always end up loving me as well. I live in a very spacious one bedroom apartment with a balcony alone so they always feel free and nice fresh air. There is a courtyard in my building that is dog friendly and three dog parks near my building as well. So they will always have room to run and be themselves. I have a nice courtyard in my building that’s pet friendly and they can play and I also have three dog parks in my area. Where they can run around and meet new pups if allowed I am currently an full time online student so I would be with your pup the whole day.
