About: 🦮🤗 hello, Bonjour, Je m'appelle Isabelle et j'ai 39 ans. My name is Isabelle and I just mooved to Val -des-monts. 10 minutes away from perkins at McGregor lake. In Montreal I had my dog clients for 3 years meeting them as babies. I provided care with consistency, fiability, empathy and kindness. I still go visit in Montreal. I miss them a lot. Im offering ; dog sitting/walking, home visits for dogs, cats and small animals. I love the act of taking care in general and the special connection I have with animals. Im a campanion for the elderly and I do home visits. Work shifts are short so i have a lot of availability any time of day. I have been fostering animals for the SPCA. One time, i cared for a pregnant guinea pig who gave birth at my place. It happened a few times that i signaled a hurt pigeon that i saw on the street and put them in a box while waiting for the spca. I volunteer in a cats shelter. I regurlaly dog walk and dog sit. Before a first visit we would have contact , the way you choose( online or in person) i will gather complete info. Free 30 minutes visit. For home visits,I offer 30 min to 1hour visits that includes; Medication intake ( if applied) Spending take brushing, petting, talking to your animal Playing Giving fresh water and food Making sure everything is in order at your place If needed, taking care of plants and mail You will receive pictures of your animal and an email detailing how it went and what we did Je travaille la semaine comme préposée aux bénéficiaire, donc mes dispos sont le soir majoritairement et la fin de semaine. Melanie cared for our rat terrier, Rosie, for 3 weeks in April, and we are thrilled with the experience! I was nervous because we had never left Rosie with anyone, and for such a long time. Melanie met with me ahead of time to let me & Rosie get comfortable with her -- I knew right away we'd be in good hands, and Rosie adored her from the start! Melanie sent lots of messages and photos every day, and we ended up chatting about everything from food and the weather to my houseplants. She followed my detailed instructions for treats, exercise, and dog food, and left our house spotless, even washed the towels & sheets. We highly recommend Melanie because she is a very responsible dog-sitter, and is truly passionate about dogs. I think Rosie would have gone home with her if she could, they really bonded with all that cuddling! We will ask Melanie to care for Rosie for all future trips.

I can't say enough good things about Sabrina's pet-sitting services! She was reliable, always responded quickly, took excellent care of our cat (including giving her medication), and was adaptable when our travel plans changed last-minute - and when we returned home from our trip, the house looked cleaner than when we left! We also really appreciated that Sabrina provided daily updates at our request, either by video call or by sending pictures/video of our cat, who always looked cuddly and happy. Sabrina is very highly recommended!

I recently had the pleasure of having Olivia care for my cat Nala, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment we met, it was clear that she genuinely loves animals and took the time to understand Nala’s needs and personality. During my time away, Olivia provided regular updates, including photos, which put my mind at ease. When I returned, Nala was calm, happy, and clearly well cared for. I highly recommend Olivia to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and professional cat sitter!

Lisa is incredible! This was our first time using a service for our dog, so it was a difficult decision to have some new watch our do, and spend the time doing it from our home. While Lisa stayed at our home, we agreed for her to bring her dog as well, who played with ours all the time and is such a good boy. So kind, easy going, friendly and playful. She took our dog for walks, drives, to see Christmas lights, to her animal sanctuary, all with advance permission of course. She communicates all the time, sent pictures, videos and comments about the fun he is having, keeping me always in the loop. When we arrived home, our house was in perfect condition. I actually wondered if it was cleaner then we had left it! :) I highly recommend Lisa, without a doubt. She is so kind, friendly, and so lovely. We will definitely be hiring her again and plan on hopefully setting up play dates with her dog and ours as well. Thank you so very much Lisa!

FAQs for House Sitting - Val-des-Monts

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Val-des-Monts on Rover is $66.5 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 813 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Val-des-Monts. Enter your postal code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Val-des-Monts maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Garbage & recycling: Taking garbage bins to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Val-des-Monts walking routes, the location of your favourite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Val-des-Monts choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitters’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity check, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.

If you have security cameras or doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 93% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
