About: ROVER is my favourite way to enjoy pets and new areas. I work as an education assistant. I work short days on a full time basis. I am able to take weekdays within Ottawa if your pets can be left alone during the day. Weekends, holidays and summers I can go anywhere for my Rover clients. I am currently also in business for myself as a BreathWork & Transformation coach, and have workshops both online and in person. Since I was born, I have always had a pet in my life. The dogs I have loved included a German Shepherd, a Shepherd mix, a Husky mix, a Shih Tzu, a Rottweiler /Boxer mix and a Boxer /French Pin mix. The cats in my life included a Calico mix, a Tiger mix, and a Manx. As my life goals are coming to fruition, I know that this is not the right time for me to personally home, love, and care for an animal of my own. My children are all grown, and I am currently more interested in traveling, whether in my own backyard or halfway around the world, I want to see all that I can!! About: For as long as I can remember, I have always loved all pets and animals. Growing up in Italy, my family always loved to have a non-human family member to take care of. My fondest childhood memories were playing with our labrador retriever, Lola, and later adopting another dog named Spenk (named after a popular anime cartoon charater in Italy at the time) in my adolescence. We also had pet chipmunks at one time! I continued living with and taking care of dogs while I lived with host families in Austrailia and New Zealand in my 20s. When I moved to Canada and later met my now-wife, she was a dogsitter through Rover. It was through her that I was able to discover this opportunity and help her with the various responsibilities that came with petsitting. I find taking care of pets in this way to be so rewarding - it boosted my mood, and helped get me moving! Unfortunately, my wife is no longer able to continue being a petsitter due to the committments of her current full-time job. However, since moving to the National Capital Region, we have regularly watched our friends' pets, both at our house and theirs. We both agree, that we really hope to have a pet of our own one day, but for now the best way to fill that void is for me to continue petsitting. I always find it so exciting to have a new "friend" be apart of my day that I can't help but give them my undivided attention. No matter this age, size, or energy level of your pet, I will always stive to give them the exact amount of play, walks, bathroom breaks, treats, and overall attention they may need. We're very lucky to live in a very walk-able neighbourhood near the Gatineau River and Lac Leamy, so regular walks are doable. Pet owners need to have a great deal of trust in their petsitters. Whenever I watch pets, I love to have constant communication with the owner - sending them regular updates and photos throughout the day. Even if their pet is having no problems and seemingly a very happy time, it's still important that the owners know that so they feel more at ease. We thankfully have a very large backyard which would make bathroom breaks very easy, however, at the moment our yard is not fenced, so I would only feel comfortable taking them on bathroom breaks both on-leash and supervised. We're very lucky to live in a very walk-able neighbourhood near the Gatineau River and Lac Leamy, so regular walks are doable. Additionally, we live in a bungalow with a door that closes, so we can block off stairs if that is also a concern for you.

About: I live in the Orleans area which means there is so much neighborhood to go for walks and runs! I am available fulltime Monday to Sunday. I have had animals all my life! About: I've always enjoyed spending time with dogs. I've volunteered at doggie day care, worked in Pets store as a bather. Always enjoy sharing my knowledge. I am a full-time employed. There's days and times after work I can help take care your doggo when times seem "ruff" and we need a little support to take care of are pets. I do live in apartment with flatmates and a cat. My place wouldn't be ideal. I don't mind coming to your home and taking care of your dog, for a walks around the neighbourhood or even at local dog park once a trust is built between the dog and pet owner. This also includes dog bathing if needed. With local pet stores that now offer self served dog washes, and nail trim depending on the dogs temperament and patients, this can also be service can be optional.

About: I grew up with a dog and now I'm the doggie auntie💁🏻‍♀️. Very flexible as I work from home two days a week. Here for exercise and community building. I work from home on Tuesdays and Thursdays and otherwise I have availability at my job is flexible for breaks. I am also around most weekends. All I need is clear communication, and I can be flexible to any routine. I used to dog sit for dogs that required peanut butter on toast with breakfast and would only come inside from a jaunt if a granola box was being shaken, so I am up for any challenge and specificities.

About: I’ve been watching dogs for 7 years now. I love all types of dogs. But the first dog I ever got close to was a pitbull. He was the first over night dog sit/house sit. I ever did, the couple would travel often due to work. So I would dog sit about 2/3 times a week. I did that for about two years and gained a lot of experience with dogs due to that job. I also find dog walking a great way to stay healthy and active with out it feeling like a work out. I’ve enjoyed dogging sitting ever since I started and don’t plan to stop.
