In that time, I have seen Kathleen handle a wide variety of breeds, temperaments, ages and conditioning in any number of different situations and circumstances. I have seen how dogs, both those familiar and those unfamiliar to her, respond to her. I can recommend Kathleen as a sitter/walker/boarder without reservation and would not hesitate for a moment to leave my own dog(s) in her care. Kathleen engages with dogs readily and they greet her with enthusiasm. Although she understands the importance of control, she always stops for a play or has a treat for them when she comes to visit. On our walks together, Kathy easily engages with other walkers and their dogs. I have seen her voluntarily board neighbourhood dogs from time to time and noted that walks were never missed, that the water dish was always full (and fresh) and that the dogs themselves were happy and at ease. I have seen Kathleen consistently put the needs of her charges first and deal with issues as they arise. Most importantly, Kathleen has always loved dogs and being with dogs. And they have always responded likewise.”

“Growing up together I couldn't help but notice that Chama has such an instinct with dogs, she is in tune with their moods, their wants, their needs. She truly enjoys their company and wants them to have the best possible time. When our dog got pregnant, she dedicated a lot of time and energy helping her adjust to her new condition, researching techniques to make labour easy for her and walked her through every step of nursing her puppies. At one point one of the puppies got terribly sick and the vet deemed it was too late for the little one but my Chama didn't give up and requested an alternative solution. She isolated the puppy and nursed it for two weeks straight and the other 7 puppies in case they got contaminated. She was able to save that puppy's life, who grew up to be the strongest of the litter. I don't just say this as her sister, but she truly cares about dogs and their wellbeing and frankly you will not find someone more trustworthy and caring than her.”

She has some trauma and therefore is territorial of her home when I am away and Angela did everything possible to make Suki feel comfortable and at ease while in her care.
