Janna was walked regularly, kept active, and absolutely showered with affection. Ben sent us frequent updates and photos, which truly put us at ease and made us feel connected to her even while we were away. When we picked her up, it was obvious how well-loved, healthy, and emotionally balanced she was. She was relaxed, happy, and completely at home — you could tell she had been spoiled in all the best ways. Honestly, when she hears Ben’s name now, she perks right up… I think she may have adopted him as her second favourite human! We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. “Selina and Pascal are nothing short of amazing. This has been the 3rd time booking with them and I will only choose them. I trust them wholeheartedly with the dogs and vice versa. Bandit is anxious being left with strangers and he felt comfortable for the 12+ days with no anxiety signs whatsoever. He felt right at home and didn’t even want to leave. Seems like both dogs are showing signs of missing their 2nd family since being back home! Lol Selina and Pascal created a safe space for them, took them on multiple walks, took them in as their own. Absolutely exceptional sitters!! They kept sending us updates and pictures while we were away and made sure the dogs were ok. The dogs were in very good hands! About: I live in the Orleans area which means there is so much neighborhood to go for walks and runs! I am available fulltime Monday to Sunday. I have had animals all my life! As of now I have 2 dogs, a german shepherd mix and a husky mix. I current walk dogs for a living with a company but would love to try this out on my own. About: For as long as I can remember, I have always loved all pets and animals. Growing up in Italy, my family always loved to have a non-human family member to take care of. My fondest childhood memories were playing with our labrador retriever, Lola, and later adopting another dog named Spenk (named after a popular anime cartoon charater in Italy at the time) in my adolescence. We also had pet chipmunks at one time! I continued living with and taking care of dogs while I lived with host families in Austrailia and New Zealand in my 20s. When I moved to Canada and later met my now-wife, she was a dogsitter through Rover. It was through her that I was able to discover this opportunity and help her with the various responsibilities that came with petsitting. I find taking care of pets in this way to be so rewarding - it boosted my mood, and helped get me moving! Unfortunately, my wife is no longer able to continue being a petsitter due to the committments of her current full-time job. However, since moving to the National Capital Region, we have regularly watched our friends' pets, both at our house and theirs. We both agree, that we really hope to have a pet of our own one day, but for now the best way to fill that void is for me to continue petsitting.

My children are all grown, and I am currently more interested in traveling, whether in my own backyard or halfway around the world, I want to see all that I can!! My home is currently in Ottawa, and as I have been recently hired as an education, assistant, I am able to take Rover clients on weekdays within the Ottawa area, if you are close to Orleans. Most weekdays, I may be at work for 7 hours. On weekends, holidays and summers, I am able to travel further for my Rover clients. Much of my family lives in Cornwall, so I love the opportunity to take clients there. I am also willing to drive to Montreal, Pembroke/Petawawa, Kingston, Toronto or Niagara Falls areas if you need me for 1 week or longer. I am able to take your dogs out for short walks, weather permitting, if they are not pullers. As I don’t drink, smoke cigarettes, or use drugs, that will never be happening in your home. “Alicia took the best care of our boys when we went away for a short weekend trip to visit family. She stayed with them at our house since one of our three cats was recently very sick. Alicia was amazing even though caring for them has definitely become more high maintenance in the last two months. She sent us updates, photos of them, gave our sick kitty all his meds, and didn't hesitate to reach out when something went wrong. For example, one of the cats got into the trash - Alicia reached out to us, and we were able to formulate a plan to monitor him in case he got sick as a result of his trash snaccident. We are so, so happy to have entrusted her to take care of our cats. About: J’adore les animaux et je suis quelqu’un d’active. J’ai un berger Australien de 2 ans qui m'accompagne quotidiennement pour nos marches et courses à pied. Nous adorerions garder d’autres amis qui pourraient nous accompagner et jouer avec Théo. Nous avons une cours clôturée pour que les chiens puissent jouer en liberté et en sécurité. “Our pup Nova has seperarion anxiety and it's been difficult for us to leave her anywhere for more than one day. We've tried other pet sitters and kennels and it would always break our hearts to see how stressed she would get. We're so fortunate to have found Debbie and Greg. We had a few trial daycare stays before a longer trip in the Fall and while Nova was initially nervous she was able to settle into their home after the first stay. I can't express enough how relieved we are to have found people that Nova feels comfortable with. We can finally go on vacation without having to stress. Debbie and Greg have a calmness about them that helps Nova deal with her anxiety of being without us. They have a calm home environment and a nice backyard that Nova enjoys during her stays. I would highly recommend especially for pup parents that may have a pup with some separation anxiety. Debbie and Greg are great for Nova and we'll be able to go on vacation knowing she's comfortable and being well cared for.”
About: My husband (Scott) and I have had dogs (and other animals) our entire lives. Over the years, we have consistently opened our home to rescues, strays, fosters, friend/ family pets, and have even socialized 4 litters of feral kittens for the Humane Society. Scott also has close to 15 years’ worth of experience with the Humane Society as a cruelty investigator. In 2024, we had to say farewell to both our aged cat and dog . We so miss our four-legged companions and are now ready to share our home again by spoiling your furry friends with exercise, cuddles and play time. Si l’animal est accueilli chez moi, je lui offre un environnement calme, sécuritaire et confortable, avec des moments de jeu, des promenades régulières et beaucoup de présence afin qu’il se sente comme à la maison.

Working along professional dog trainers in boarding facilities was a huge plus to help me guild dogs safely around our neighborhoods and parks. About: For as long as I can remember, I have always loved all pets and animals. Growing up in Italy, my family always loved to have a non-human family member to take care of. My fondest childhood memories were playing with our labrador retriever, Lola, and later adopting another dog named Spenk (named after a popular anime cartoon charater in Italy at the time) in my adolescence. We also had pet chipmunks at one time! I continued living with and taking care of dogs while I lived with host families in Austrailia and New Zealand in my 20s. When I moved to Canada and later met my now-wife, she was a dogsitter through Rover. It was through her that I was able to discover this opportunity and help her with the various responsibilities that came with petsitting. I find taking care of pets in this way to be so rewarding - it boosted my mood, and helped get me moving! Unfortunately, my wife is no longer able to continue being a petsitter due to the committments of her current full-time job. However, since moving to the National Capital Region, we have regularly watched our friends' pets, both at our house and theirs. We both agree, that we really hope to have a pet of our own one day, but for now the best way to fill that void is for me to continue petsitting. I always find it so exciting to have a new "friend" be apart of my day that I can't help but give them my undivided attention. No matter this age, size, or energy level of your pet, I will always stive to give them the exact amount of play, walks, bathroom breaks, treats, and overall attention they may need. We're very lucky to live in a very walk-able neighbourhood near the Gatineau River and Lac Leamy, so regular walks are doable. Pet owners need to have a great deal of trust in their petsitters. Whenever I watch pets, I love to have constant communication with the owner - sending them regular updates and photos throughout the day. Even if their pet is having no problems and seemingly a very happy time, it's still important that the owners know that so they feel more at ease. We thankfully have a very large backyard which would make bathroom breaks very easy, however, at the moment our yard is not fenced, so I would only feel comfortable taking them on bathroom breaks both on-leash and supervised. We're very lucky to live in a very walk-able neighbourhood near the Gatineau River and Lac Leamy, so regular walks are doable. Additionally, we live in a bungalow with a door that closes, so we can block off stairs if that is also a concern for you.
