House Sitting in Gibsons

About: I had a successful positive reinforcement dog training business in Vancouver for several years and now I live in Squamish. I held a CPDT-KA certification which I opted not to renew last year because I no longer teach classes. My own dog is 15 years old and can no longer enjoy a long trail walk with me, so I would like to help other dog owners meet their dogs’ needs. I am also certified in Pet First Aid. I work part time as an EA during the school year and am studying at Capilano University in Squamish to become a teacher. I have a very flexible schedule and the means to travel to do drop ins. I have many years of experience caring for dogs and I love to make them feel calm and happy. I really care about safety and stress management, so I prefer to walk dogs on leash (or a long line) and I usually bring a clicker and a treats so we can build up some positive behaviour.

About: In my lifetime I grew up with 7 cats of multiple characters, a childhood with Alsatian’s / German shepherds and an adulthood with 4 pugs. I am well versed in diverse care for different breeds . I know how to play with , care for, feed and nurture most animals. I work online and can take my work anywhere! I loving cycling running, explorative walks or relaxing at home and enjoy them all the more when with an animal companion. I follow your guidelines first and foremost and endeavour to respect the new relationship I am building with your pet, taking my time to get to know them and acquaint myself in your space. I always take care to leave places and pets clean , loved and cared for.

She sent regular updates and super cute photos, which really helped us relax while we were gone. Both our cats were happy and calm when we got home, they might have missed her more than us when she was gone! The house was spotless when we got back, and everything was just as we left it. About: I have taken care of cats with a variety of needs including medical. Happy to look after dogs too as I love being with my friends and their pups. I am able to work from home as needed and have a flexible office where dogs are welcome. I have a car to help transport and know all the great spots by my work for all the walks! I have stayed in homes many times and can help look after your pets/garden/plants etc.. as needed. Happy to sit around the city as well as further out.

I am available for pet and house sits in the Fraser Valley Aug 11th - Sept 30th 2025 (possibly over the winter as well). I've been taking care of my pets and other animals since I was 6 yrs old. My family growing up had dogs, cats, a hamster, a hedgehog, degus, gerbils and parrts at various times. I've done lots of house and pet sitting over the years as well as high end house cleaning and in home nanny care as well. I also worked in admin at a fast past veterinary clinic on the coast. Dogs in parks that don't usually like people come and hang out with me. :) I love animals. I have also lived on the same property or next door to horses, goats, sheep and chickens and I am willing to learn more about their care needs. *I have nine pet bunnies in six pet carriers that are traveling with me at this time. I put a blanket down under the pet carriers and they get run around time in a puppy pen with blankets down as well. I've been the sole caregiver of these bunnies for 4+ yrs and have great air bnb references as well. These are fancy indoor bunnies that are perhaps overly loved lol. I have their hay in a bin as this is their main diet. A clean non gas smelling garage can work for their set up or a spot in a room that is tiled and easily sweepable. If there is an outdoor predator proof shed with a lock I open to chat about that as well. I look forward to chatting more and supporting you with your home and pet needs. My pup Kenai is a 6-year-old who grew up with two cats, so he’s friendly and well-socialized with other animals. He’d love a buddy to play and explore both indoors and out! Daily Routine - Morning Walk: Before 8:30 am, 20-30 minutes; 5-7km jog if your dog is high energy. - 40-120min daytime forest walk off leash if your dog is a repeat boarder/experienced hiker. About: I'm the perfect CASUAL or FILL IN dog walker and/or pet sitter. I come from a long line of pet lovers and have had dogs and cats for most of my life. I recently lost my beautiful Yotie (red heeler, husky, shepherd) who I was blessed to have for 16.5 wonderfully adventurous years. I believe that our pets are family members and that it's important to meet an animal where it's at, both physically and emotionally. I approach all my four-legged friends with a calm and respectful attitude and will only give cuddles when they ask. I am the perfect casual "fill in" walker or sitter. I do a lot of contract work (in film/tv) so have gaps and down time in my schedule to fill it up with dog walks and pet visits. I would prefer to only have max three dogs at a time for walks so they will all fit comfortable in my vehicle should we want to adventure into the hiking trails or to the beach. I will work with the owners to have suitable treats on hand, doggie bags, portable water dishes and appropriate leashes etc.
