About: I’m a dog owner and lifelong animal lover with years of experience caring for dogs of all breeds and temperaments. I have a 7-year-old Shiba Inu of my own, so I understand the quirks of independent, strong-willed breeds. I work from home which means your dog gets consistent attention throughout the day rather than sitting alone for hours. I’m calm, reliable, and treat every dog like family. Your pup will be well exercised, well loved, and well cared for. I work fully remote from home, meaning your dog gets consistent company and attention throughout the entire day. No long hours alone. I’m available for boarding any day of the week and can accommodate last minute requests. Walks happen morning and evening, and as needed with plenty of downtime in between. Your dog will be staying in my clean, comfortable apartment where they’ll be treated like family. I’m an experienced dog owner with a Shiba Inu of my own, so I understand dog behavior and body language well. I keep a calm, structured environment and will always communicate with you about how your pup is doing. Your dog’s safety and comfort is my priority.
“I got on Rover purely to give Shell this review. Haha. Imagine the value in a scenario where you call up your mom and say you have to work late, and ask if she’d drive across town to pick your kid up from school and take care of them for a few hours until you’re free. She doesn’t think twice and your mind is completely at ease knowing your kiddo is in good hands. I don’t know what it’s like to have kids, but Shell has been more than a dog-sitter. She has been that third, auxiliary parent to my puppy when I’ve needed her! Even to the extent that she drove across town on a Thursday morning on zero notice to pick him up as I scrambled through an offsite work meeting. Also… Our pup was only 7 months old and we left him for a week with Shell, cold turkey. He had never stayed with anyone before; risky, I know. She sent pictures and videos every day of his playtime with friends, yummy meal toppers, and when we picked him up, he was as happy as a clam. It has been an immense relief knowing that, whenever we need a break, we can drop Winchester off and he is in great hands. We love our fluffy furball, but being able to drop him off and completely forget about him for a while is pure bliss sometimes. ? I don’t really know what else to say other than that I have complete and unwavering faith in Shell’s ability and good intention when it comes to caring for my little guy. I highly recommend bringing your pup to her… but hurry, she fills up fast!!”

“Frank enjoys spending his time with Don (and Hunter) very much. He gets excited when we pull up to the house, because he knows he's in for a day of fun and VIP treatment. I highly recommend Don and Melodie for both Daycare and Boarding.”

“I’ve been using Shadie for daycare and boarding for both of my dogs and she’s been the best! My dogs are so excited to go to daycare at her house and they seem to have the best time. Thank you!”

“Poppy received excellent care! She got plenty of attention and exercise and came home thoroughly relaxed and tired. A huge difference from other daycare experiences we’ve had where she comes home anxious and stressed.”

About: Hi, I’m Kenah. I provide dependable pet care for families who want someone calm, responsible, and attentive caring for their pets and their home. My background includes years of caregiving, direct support, healthcare operations, and compliance work, so I am very comfortable following detailed instructions, respecting home routines, documenting important updates, and noticing when something seems off. I know how much trust it takes to let someone into your home or care for a pet you love, and I take that responsibility seriously. During each visit, I focus on keeping your pet safe, comfortable, and on their normal routine. I am happy to help with feeding, fresh water, walks, potty breaks, litter box care, playtime, basic cleanup, and photo updates. I also make sure doors are locked, instructions are followed, and you receive clear communication so you are not left wondering how your pet is doing. I especially enjoy working with pets who do best with a steady, patient person. Whether your pet is social and playful or shy and slow to warm up, I will follow your lead and care for them in the way that works best for their personality. My schedule is flexible, and I do my best to work around each pet’s normal routine. I am available for drop-in visits, dog walks, and house sitting depending on the day, time, and location. I prefer to plan ahead when possible so I can give each pet the right amount of time and attention, but I may also be able to help with shorter-notice requests when my schedule allows. I take safety and trust very seriously, whether I am caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home. I have a small, calm home environment with a large, fully fenced yard, which gives dogs space to get fresh air, play, and take potty breaks safely. I always supervise outdoor time and make sure gates and doors are secure.
“Took great care of Spike and showed him a good time! Kate took him to the dog park (his favorite place) and got him some treats at the local pet store (his second favorite place)”

“We couldn’t be more thrilled with the care Chelsea provided for Bubu and Lola during their days at her place! Both of our Huskies can be a bit particular, but she handled them with such patience and love. From the moment we dropped them off, it was clear that Bubu and Lola felt right at home. Chelsea kept us updated throughout the day with pictures and messages, which made our workday so much easier knowing they were having a great time. It was such a relief to see them so relaxed and happy! We highly recommend Chelsea to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving caregiver for their pets. Bubu and Lola can’t wait for their next visit! 😊🐶”

“This was my first time using Rover, and I was a little nervous—but I’m so glad I chose Morgan! She instantly put me at ease and took such wonderful care of my pup. My dog had the best time running around the farm and hanging out with her pack. I knew she was happy because she didn’t even want to leave when I came to pick her up! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely book with Morgan again.”

“Debbie has watched Milo many times for me and I feel comfortable and confident every time I drop him off. She takes great care of him and every photo I get it looks like Milo is having a great time! Any and every time I'm in the Vancouver area I send Milo to her ❤️❤️”

“This is my first time leaving my pug boy Louie with a sitter. I was nervous at first about leaving him but Jamie and her mom made me feel comfortable about leaving him there. They allowed me to have a meet and greet first, and Jamie answered all questions i had. She reassured me he was in good hands and i know he was. Jamie has very good communication, and made me feel even better by sending lots of pics and videos of Louie while he was there. I will definitely be booking jamie again for my boy.”

About: Hello! My name is Mo, I prefer go by Emma. I have had the experience of taking care of dogs for more than 18 years. Also, I take care of my coworkers’ and friends' dogs often. Currently, my husband and I have a 3 years old Cavapoo named Bagel. I clean his eye areas, wash his belly and feet everyday, clean his ears every week after his shower. Moreover, I trim his hair all by myself (Cavapoos' hair grow non-stop). Bagel has his own bed with his bedsheets which are washed every one or two weeks. Our house is really clean and peaceful. In my home, your puppy will get the best level of care. They will be really safe, clean, comfortable, and happy! I'm currently not working and staying at home all day, so my availability is generally 7 days/week. Please check my Calendar before your booking. Thank you! : ) One additional info is that we have a fully fenced yard. I usually let dogs go to the yard every 1-3 hours. I will stay in the yard with them if they choose to play longer in addition to just going potty. Moreover, I will send a lot of videos to you during the boarding. : ) Oh one more thing: I have really strong standards of cleanliness. Dogs are not allowed to go on human beds in our home. This is non-negotiable. Thanks for understanding!

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Burlington
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 1,829 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Burlington. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Burlington commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 1,829 sitters in Burlington, 89% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
