“Bailey was excellent! I tend to leave very specific instructions, and Bailey followed them to a tee! My feeders have a light that indicates that they’re working properly and I said “bonus points if the rover pic has the lights on” and every single rover card had a picture with the lights on!! Really allows me to feel like my cats are in good hands when I leave. Also this was a very last-minute trip and Bailey was fast to respond, and available for key pick up before I left. 5/5 for sure!”
“I’m so thankful to have found such good folks to look in on my little one. David and Lisa were professional, reliable and kept me updated daily with great photos. I highly reccomend them!”

“Jennifer was terrific! Our cats were very well taken care of, the pictures and updates give us comfort when we are traveling. She was very attentive to my requests, very professional and she takes her work very seriously. I highly recommend her as a part of the Rover team!”

“Our cats (and us) love Lisa!!! She's so reliable and takes care of our kitties like they're her own. And we love the notes and photos she sends after each visit. Thank you, Lisa!!!”

“Allison was great. She went above and beyond what we asked, and was very patient with our diva of a cat. We’d love to book her again for our next trip if she’ll have us!”

About: I've always been a pet owner since I was a little kid. Cats, dogs, fish, hamsters, you name it. I've had my own cat, Sebastian with me for the past 5 years :) Happy to watch any other furry friends! I am free all weekdays and work from home so I am always here to give your furry friends lots of attention and walks when needed. I have lots of toys and treats in the house and live in a safe and friendly neighborhood with lots of parks and grassy areas for walks with dogs. There is also a cat in the home for them to play with :)
About: I have had animals literally my entire life including dogs, cats, hamsters, rats, birds, fish, and lizards. I currently have 2 dogs-a labradoodle named Axel that loves everyone and everything and a rescue pit mix named Winnie that loves dogs but is afraid of people, as well as 3 cats that live upstairs. Axel is very rambunctious and can get pretty excited at first but eventually mellows out. Winnie LOVES meeting new dogs and will do what I call the "pittie hop". I love animals and I feel that they are a part of the family. I (we) will treat your animal just like my own. If an animal comes to my home someone is almost always home to provide care, snuggles, and treats. I have experience with large breed dogs, specialty foods, older animals, and giving medications. We have a large, fenced yard for the dogs to run around and play. I do require that your pups be UTD on vaccinations and that they have basic obedience training. I do not take dogs in heat just because I have never personally dealt with that before. I look forward to working with you and your animals. One last note, I require a meet and greet with ALL new clients since I do have my own dogs to ensure everyone gets along, you as a pet parents feel comfortable, and the home now smells familiar for the next time your pup comes over. Thank you for taking the time to consider me to take care of you 4-legged family member. I am up at 5:30 am during the week and my husband is retired so we have lots of time to spend with your dog(s). We also have 2 teens at home that help so your fur babies will get plenty of love and attention. I have a large fenced yard with plenty of room to run and play. We also have a pretty set feeding schedule but can modify that if necessary. Additionally we have indoor cameras in the house so we can check on the dogs if we need to run out
“Lindsey was absolutely wonderful with my two cats for the week that I was out of town 💕💯😺 She was very thorough in meeting their care requirements and went well beyond my expectations! She has sat for my two cats twice now, and, I will definitely be booking her in the future!!! Highly recommend 🤙”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life, I have 5 at the moment. 2 cats, a (Yearling), tortoise, frog many animals. I have experience with plenty of animals. I have animal sat for multiple families and friends and they have loved me! I work fulltime but can make time for your babies. I treat your babies like mine. I make sure they get the love and care they need. I slowly introduce myself, if you need your dog crated I can do that. If all we need to do for your pet is we meet a few times before petsitting that is okay, or if you need me to bring my dog so your dog can meet mine. Whatever helps with your animal to feel comfortable and safe.
About: I’ve taken care of multiple kinds of dogs and cats for family and friends ever since I was a little kid, and owned both kitties and doggies of different breeds most of my life. I’ve read a few training books for doggies, stayed multiple nights for pet sitting, volunteered at pet shops, worked at pet stores, handled kittens and puppies with care, worked with senior cats and dogs, as well as other barn animals as well! I am currently working a part time job in silverdale, usually around 10-15 hours a week. I always receive my schedule at least a week in advance, so I just need time to plan around that. Otherwise, I’m a fairly open schedule! I have experience with crating dogs and giving them daily medicines if needed, or any unique care. If there is ever at all an emergency situation, I will call you immediately while also taking your dog to the vet.
About: Over the past 16 years, Josh and I have had extensive and wide-ranging pet care experience. At one point, we had 5 dogs and 3 cats of our own at the same time! They all varied in age, energy, behavior, and care requirements. We have vast animal experience in all stages of life, from puppies and kittens to advanced age and senior care. We also have personal and professional experience caring for animals with complex medical needs, and are very comfortable with medication management - including injected medication, proper handling/disposal of sharps, etc. I previously spent 10 years as a professional service dog trainer, and as a result am familiar with a wide range of dog behavior. Josh had cat-dad experience for 15 years and is very well acquainted with cat care. Josh and I both work from home, so we have ample flexibility and are very good at being able to make time in our schedules for whatever pops up. Every pet has their preferences - they know their people, their safe places, their preferred environments. For some, anything outside of the norm can be tough on them. Josh and I are both very attuned to that and aim to be as accommodating as possible with your pets to ensure they, and you, are comfortable in knowing they're well taken care of. You tell us what they need and we'll do our best to make it happen. Also please note - we do require Meet & Greets prior to any potential bookings to ensure everyone (including the pets!) feel good about the arrangement.
“We love Kimberly as she always does a great job watching over our sweet girl. Our cat is typically timid but does so well with Kimberly. We always feel at ease knowing she is looking after her.”
“Went above and beyond! So very thankful for Lisa’s help with my animals. I had a cat and rabbit and she took excellent care of both, even cleaned their cage areas and gave them lots of love and pictures!”

About: My name is Kat, and with my husband, Sean, we have 20 years of experience pet sitting. We do boarding, check-ins, walking, and more! We would love to take care of your pets! We have experience taking care of dogs and cats of all ages. We work remotely Monday-Friday with flexibility, so there will always be someone in our home or yours! Whatever your pets need we will accommodate for them. We are very detailed and attentive when it comes to taking care of your animals. We always make sure they are comfortable, fed, hydrated, and having fun!
“Naiomi is the best! She takes such amazing care of all of my animals (cats, dog, frogs), but she also goes above and beyond in every other way. Everything is so neat and clean after she has been here and she thoughtfully brought in a very large heavy package from chewy in my absence. The peace of mind I have when she is here such a gift.”
“Our pups took to Olivia during the meet and greet, before we even finalized her services. She’s extremely kind and very thoughtful about learning how to care for your pups individual needs. We felt extremely comfortable with Olivia and could tell our pups were too. We absolutely loved the photos that were shared with us during her drop-in visit and could see how happy they were to have her give them some midday attention. Highly recommend Olivia and plan on requesting her services again in the near future. Thanks, Olivia!”

“Anna always goes above and beyond when taking care of our cat! Anna is very attentive, follows instructions, keeps us updated with pictures, and asks questions whenever need be. I would highly recommend!!”

Great communication! Lisa sent daily updates with pictures of what the cats ate and how they played. She even went out of her way to stop by for an extra visit during an unexpected situation. I felt completely comfortable leaving them in her hands and highly recommend her!

I love the pictures and timely visits to my cats while away for christmas. She made sure they were fed and had clean water and took time to play with them even for a few minutes. This was beyond what we expected. I will hire her again if she is available when we go out of town again.

Sunny and Pebbles liked being cared for by Danielle so much that they barely recognized us when we came home. She made sure they enjoyed lots of play time and even treats. Danielle also thoughtfully looked after our plants during the heat wave. We happily recommend Danielle and look forward to seeing her again. 🐾

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 6,186 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Brownsville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Brownsville. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
