About: Hello, my name is Jacinta & I have loved animals my entire life. Yes, I know, everyone says that, but my dads favorite story to tell anyone willing to listen is that when I was about 4/5 years old, I would constantly bug him and ask if we could get a dog. So to get me to stop asking, he told me sure, we could get a dog when I turn 10. Sure enough, when I turned 10, the first thing I asked was where my dog was. Shocked I still remembered he quickly came up with something else to distract me😅 We finally got our first family dog when I was a freshman in high school, then another when I was a sophomore. A spunky little chihuahua terrier, and a loving husky malamute mix. Later on my sister got a dog of her own, an incredibly smart red heeler who I babysat whenever possible. So I am extremely well versed in dogs big, small, and medium! My very first part time job was working at Petsmart in the doggie day care where I spent all day taking care of dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. Throughout college I would watch my roommates maltipoo while she went home for breaks. I would house/dog sit my friends pit-bull mix over the weekends whenever he was out of town. My senior year in college I even fostered a friend’s cat for almost a year! I am the first call when someone in my family is looking for someone to dog sit. I still occasionally house sit my cousins two American Eskimos or take them on walks whenever needed. My fiancé and I just got engaged and we are trying to save up some money for all the incoming expenses so what better way than to spend it with the things I love most! About: Lifelong pet caretaker. Grew up with all types of dogs, usually 3 at a time. Have pet-sit for my boss, family and friends. Am familiar with dogs in all stages of life and through sickness and health. I work FT and care for the fur babies on the weekend but my partner is home full-time and will be able to cares for the fur babies all week 24/7. He also has extensive experience sitting for them, including our now passed special needs fur baby. I prefer pets over humans. I love being around animals and have a great understanding of what they might be telling us through body language and visual cues. I grew up with no less than 3 dogs in the house at a time. Caring for neighborhood pets, nanny family’s pets and friend’s pets. Although I feel comfortable around pets, my approach is always calm, cautious and respectful. I will make sure your furry friend feels comfortable and safe. I am available weekdays in the early afternoon and some weekends. I always care for clients pets based off of information I gather ahead of time about the pet as well as visual cues that the pet is signaling. When she did, she took notes and spent time really getting to know them and asking questions so she was clear on our expectations. She took great care of our dogs at your house while we were away, making sure our younger puppy go the playtime and walks she needed to ensure she'd be tired at the end of the day. She was in touch daily, sending pictures and updates. When we returned our house was in great condition and we came home to very happy dogs! Highly recommended as a dog and house sitter. I am currently working from home part time meeting a few time a month. My schedule and hours are pretty flexible. I would preferred making visits to the clients/pet's home. It is more convenient, less stress for the owner and pets since they are use to their environment. I'm also open to staying over there as well if requested.
