Allison was awesome. We agreed on a schedule, she stuck to it, very dependable. She kept in touch, told me when she arrived at the house and when she left, gave me updates on my boys and sent pics. When I got home the dogs acted as if I had never left. I'd recommend Allison to anyone looking for someone to stay with their pups.

Paige watched our senior dog and GSD puppy for an overnight house sitting stay. Everything went smoothly with Paige. Our pups were well cared for & we enjoyed receiving pics of our girls both days that Paige spent with them.

About: I’ve been around pets my entire life, mostly dogs. I’ve owned my own dogs since I was 12, and I currently own a German shepherd and a Coton De Tulear. I consider myself a true animal enthusiast and I believe that caring for them is more than a chore, but something you need to be passionate about to give them the best care they deserve! Starting August 24th, I’m enrolled full-time in college, so I’ll be available M/W - before 1pm and Tu/Th - after 1pm, all day Friday, and no weekends. I can do full-day house visits (no overnights), drop-in’s, and walks. It’s all dependent on what my clients homes are equipped with! If you have a fenced yard and high energy dogs, I’m more than happy to take them outside to play and explore, or play inside. Treats are always an option, as are pets, cuddles, and plenty of love for your fur babies!

I highly recommend Jenn. She took excellent care of my two small dogs! They warmed up to her immediately and they don’t do that with everyone.

Lee was absolutely fantastic and so thorough! We met first for her to meet the animals and she didn’t shy away from our rambunctious crew, even our larger dog. She kept in great contact with us the whole time and sent amazing, adorable pictures. She even handled a faulty smoke alarm for us. We will definitely book with her again!

Maria was incredible to work with. I was nervous to leave my best friend in the care of anyone besides me but my nerves were quickly relieved. Maria took the time to have a meet and greet so he knew her beforehand and also was extremely professional, asking lots of relevant questions to make sure she knew exactly what to do. Frequent photo updates kept me from wondering about him on my vacation. 100% would recommend Maria and I will be using her again

So grateful for John! Very understanding of the difficulties I had leaving my Luna for the first time like this - sent me multiple texts, pictures and videos assuring me she was doing well and happy. Very flexible with my schedule and made the point to come meet Luna ahead of time on a previous day. Very attentive to Luna's schedule and her specific little quirks. Luna clearly enjoyed her time, giving John a super speed tail wag and some kisses before we left.

I was very nervous with how the girls would do. I knew boots would be perfectly fine, he’s older. The girls took right to him. The girls were outside of their cages enjoying a mini vacay away from us. Fed, watered, outside and lots of petting. Thank you for keeping my mind at ease with the dogs.

About: I grew up with 3 cats and 3 dogs at various ages. I can take care of young and old animals and help with whatever they need! I’m working part time! I am very flexible each day to help out mornings, afternoons, and nights for your animals- whatever they need at anytime. I have an older dog and a younger dog so I am used to honing in on their specific needs (walks, feeding time, etc) in addition to my 2 cats now!

Our three dogs with very different needs can be a lot to manage (a rambunctious 18 month old, a five year old, and an elder dog in significant decline), and Adriana took great care of all of them simultaneously. She asks the right questions and communicates clearly and quickly to resolve anything that comes up. We could not be happier with how she works with us and cares for Maddie, Olaf, and Otter.

Pam was amazing staying in our home with our Cece (Cavalier King Charles) overnight this weekend. We rarely leave Cece as she goes everywhere with us. Pam came for a meet and greet the week prior to our date, showed up a little early and that gave us time to go over anything either of us needed to, texted us pictures of Cece, and left the house tidy and locked up. Cece clearly loved Pam upon meeting her and was very excited when she returned the following week. Pam is a confident, professional, warm person and we will hopefully be able to have her back the next time we need Cece taken care of.

Thomas was fantastic with our girls! He provided detailed updates throughout the stay and was incredibly observant, paying close attention to their needs and routines. Our husky can be a bit high-maintenance, but Thomas handled everything with care and made sure she was well taken care of. He was reliable, communicative, and treated our home with respect. We felt completely comfortable having him stay at our house and had peace of mind knowing our girls were in such good hands. We would absolutely book with Thomas again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive sitter.

About: Hi, I'm Brooke! I’m 19 years old and have been around animals my entire life. Growing up, I was never without a pet, and caring for animals has always come naturally to me. My first cat, Hunter Patches, was a huge part of my life before he passed last year. Since then, I’ve welcomed two new cats, Loki and Marie, into my family. I also have a 10 year old rescue dog named Gunner and recently rescued a bearded dragon named Dino. I’m comfortable caring for cats, dogs, and reptiles, and I understand that every animal has their own personality and needs. Friends and family have trusted me to feed, play with, check on, and care for their pets while they’re away. I’m patient, attentive, dependable, and genuinely love spending time with animals of all kinds. Pet care fits naturally into my daily schedule because caring for animals has always been a part of my daily life. I have a flexible routine and enjoy spending time feeding, playing with, walking, and giving attention to pets throughout the week. I will care for your pets like they’re my own by keeping them fed, comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away. I’ll follow their routines closely, give them plenty of attention and playtime, and make sure they feel calm and cared for in their home environment.

About: I have experience in wildlife rehabilitation, zookeeping, managing horses. I’m comfortable doing most basic animal care for a variety of animals and happy to learn about anything I haven’t had experience with. Dogs, cats, reptiles, hoofstock, poultry and so on! My schedule is fairly flexible with some notice. Available early mornings, late nights and in between. I am happy to adjust my schedule based on each animal’s routine and needs. I am attentive and observant of each animal’s needs and routines. Happy to follow specific schedules and tasks to adhere to their normal care standards. While I do have a yard, it is unfenced so dogs go out on a leash unless they have exceptional recall. Often joking or walks around the neighborhood. All animal’s are crated or otherwise contained when left alone for short periods and always separated at feeding times.

FAQs for House Sitting - Brewerton

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Brewerton on Rover is $42 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 333 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Brewerton. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Brewerton walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Brewerton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Brewerton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Brewerton. On Rover:

  • 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
