“Adrianna stayed at our home to watch our two dogs at our cat while we were out of town for several days. She kept us updated daily with messages and pet photos, giving us great sense of peace that our home and pets were looked after. Thank you again for your wonderful service, Adrianna!”

“Yelitza was a top-notch, superb dog sitter through and through! She is a lovely person and took such great care of our doggies and home. Our pups loved her, and she sent frequent lovely updates. Highly recommended!”

“Quinn took wonderful care of our two German Shepherds, Pablo and Leo, while we were away for the day. She was attentive, patient, and made sure they were happy, comfortable, and well looked after. It was obvious they were in great hands, which gave us real peace of mind. She kept us updated throughout the day with messages and photos. When we got home, Pablo and Leo were happy, relaxed, and clearly very well cared for. Our house was also spotless, and everything was exactly as we left it. We would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for someone to care for their pets and home. We’ll definitely be booking her again. Thank you!”

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life, and have grown up around dogs. I currently own a German Shepherd and Coton De Tulear, both of whom are my pride and joy, along with the rest of our pack. I understand that these precious souls mean so much to so many people, and promise that under my care and supervision they’ll be treated with the utmost respect and love, just as if they were my own! I’m currently working part-time and in school so while my availability may be limited I assure you my care for your pets isn’t! Please double-check that the dates/times you need align with my availability before submitting a booking. Thank you! It’s all dependent on what my clients homes are equipped with! If you have a fenced yard and high energy dogs, I’m more than happy to take them outside to play and explore, or play inside. Treats are always an option, as are pets, cuddles, and plenty of love for your fur babies!
“Pam was amazing staying in our home with our Cece (Cavalier King Charles) overnight this weekend. We rarely leave Cece as she goes everywhere with us. Pam came for a meet and greet the week prior to our date, showed up a little early and that gave us time to go over anything either of us needed to, texted us pictures of Cece, and left the house tidy and locked up. Cece clearly loved Pam upon meeting her and was very excited when she returned the following week. Pam is a confident, professional, warm person and we will hopefully be able to have her back the next time we need Cece taken care of.”

“Jenna was great- responsive, friendly and responsible. Sitting my skittish, introverted rescue pup takes an extra level, and I really appreciate her knowledge and comfort around animals!”

“Julie is incredibly kind with Romina and treats her as if she were her own cat. She kept me updated with photos throughout the stay, which gave me so much peace of mind. She made sure Romina was well fed, spent time playing with her, and even slept beside her. It was clear that Romina was loved and cared for the entire time. I’m so grateful and would absolutely trust Julie with Romina again.”

“Allison took great care of my fur babies! She took them on last-minute and did great with all my detailed instructions for caring for them, haha! I’d definitely recommend her if you’re looking for someone who is kind and understands dogs’ needs!”
“John did a fantastic job watching our lively golden retriever, Ranger. He took him for outings and fun things other than just walks. John stayed in our home and was respectful and treated it as if it were his own! I highly recommend John for any pet care.”

“I was very nervous with how the girls would do. I knew boots would be perfectly fine, he’s older. The girls took right to him. The girls were outside of their cages enjoying a mini vacay away from us. Fed, watered, outside and lots of petting. Thank you for keeping my mind at ease with the dogs.”

“Jessica house sat for me and watched my two Dalmatians, she gave frequent updates with photos/videos to reassure me the girls were doing well. Jessica is kind, caring, and compassionate about animals which made me so incredibly comfortable leaving my girls in her care. She is punctual and great at communicating before and during the scheduled appointments. I highly recommend Jessica for any of your pet sitting needs as I will continue to be a repeat customer 💕”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up with three schnauzers and have over 5 years of experience caring for dogs of all kinds. From pups to senior dogs, shy pups like Luna, playful rescues like Moose, and spunky dogs like Pippa, I have loved getting to know them all. I have experience with feeding, administering medications, and maintaining consistent daily routines. My patient and attentive approach helps me connect with all types of dogs. I love giving them plenty of playtime, cuddles, and walks; one wag at a time 🐾 As a recent college graduate, I have a remote job that gives me the flexibility to work from home. I can take dogs on walks during my breaks or stay with them at home. I am available during the weekdays and weekends to ensure your dog has consistent attention, companionship, and care whenever you need it. Every dog I care for becomes part of my family. I provide walks, playtime, and plenty of cuddles, making sure they have a safe, comfortable space to relax. I follow their usual routines, whether that’s lounging on their couch, resting in their crate, or engaging in activities. I’m happy to help with anything that makes them feel most at home, including discussing any medication needs in advance to ensure their care is safe and consistent.
“Riley did a wonderful job taking care of Chester at our house. He was readily available to answer any questions about Chester while we were away. I will definitely rebook in the future!”

This was my first time ever leaving my dogs with a dog sitter and I was extremely nervous in doing so. Steph made the process so smooth for us & really gave us peace of mind. My pups were well taken care of & the house was left spotless. She sent frequent updates and pictures throughout the day without me even having to ask, I will definitely be using Steph’s services in the future again. Thank you steph!

Meaghan was absolutely wonderful, and we can’t recommend her highly enough! She was incredibly communicative, thoughtful, and transparent throughout our trip, always keeping us updated with messages and photos. We felt completely at ease knowing our pups were in her care. It’s clear she genuinely loves animals and treated our dogs like her own. We would happily book with Meaghan again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter!

Shannen was great! She stayed in our home for 5 days while we were on a cruise and even with little communication due to our travels we were totally relaxed and trusted her 1000%! Our boys are happy and so are we. The house is very tidy & clean as well. We will definitely be booking with her again!

Josiah was amazing! He came for a meet and greet prior to our vacation and he just has a calm about him that immediately put both us and the pups at ease. He sent pics and updates throughout the week and left the house just as he found it. I felt completely comfortable having him stay and will definitely be requesting he return!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bayberry walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bayberry maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bayberry choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bayberry. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
