About: Hi, I’m Jean and I’m really looking forward to meeting your pup! Although I have never had the opportunity to have my own dog, I have loved dogs my entire life and admire them dearly. I have worked at multiple animal daycares in Brooklyn and Manhattan and have dog sat/walked many of my friends/families dogs. I understand that your dog is your family so I strive to prove your babies comfortability is my top priority. Understandably, leaving your dog in another persons hands can be a risk but I will ensure that I leave your furry friend happy, exhausted and at the very least more comfortable with me! I have basically open availability Monday to Friday. Please message me for any further questions you may have regarding availability for taking your pup on a joy walk, hanging out together at your house or a sleepover at my apartment! Your dogs comfortability is my top priority. Whether it takes a few minutes, a few hours or even days for a dog to be comfortable, I will always do my best to attempt to ease a dog into a new situation. Please let me know if your pup has any special quirks, habits or routines and I’d be happy to accommodate!
“Tiffany is great! She was always quick to respond and understanding of my dog's needs. She watched my dog over NYE and my dog had a nice time there. Highly recommend!!”

“Emma was the best rover I’ve had yet in NYC! She provided constant updates and photos and Diego came back so happy and calm (not usually the case!) would highly recommend and am excited to use her again :)”
“Katerina is the BEST! I had the absolute best experience with her! She is truly amazing. She truly went above and beyond. If I could give her a 100 stars I would!”

“Michelle took such thoughtful, above and beyond care of Willow, preparing her special food to eat, picking up and dropping off without a hitch, and providing frequent updates and pictures! Would highly recommend working with her!”

“Janis did an amazing job! Our dog didn't want to leave at the end!🤣 She went above and beyond and did all the optional stuff from our care instructions. I can tell that her home has a great family atmosphere that helped tremendously in making our dog feel not only comfortable but loved! She was very responsive throughout his stay, and helped us feel at ease by sending pictures and detailed messages. We will definitely be asking her to watch our dog again.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs all my life and they hold a very special place in my heart. I’ve had a yorkie named Lola, a golden retriever named Sophie, a chocolate lab named Noah, and my current cocker spaniel poodle Teddy. I’ve always taken the responsibility of training my dogs, feeding them and walking them even from a young age. I take pride in the love I have for animals and truly love taking care of them, they deserve all the love. I am a recent Brooklyn College graduate with a free schedule looking for some extra income to take care of my Teddy. I am available everyday! I have one friendly dog at home who’s always eager to make friends and a decent sized backyard for doggies with zoomies! I love playtime and always have tummy rubs and treats readily available. Teddy also has tons of toys to share!
“Emerald was lovely and communicative! She sent me lots of photos of my dog and hers playing and hanging out together while I was away, and she was very flexible and understanding regarding arrival and pickup times. Stevie clearly had a wonderful time <3”

“Erin, Newton, and family took wonderful care of Mochi for 11 nights. We were delighted everyday by the adorable photos and videos of Mochi enjoying the outdoor space, playing with Newton and snuggling in for a nap. We couldn't have asked for a warmer environment for her to stay in while we were away. Mochi will surely be back soon. Thank you Erin, et all!”

“Erica was amazing with my girl Sweet Potato! She was super responsive when I needed a sitter in a pinch, and was communicative throughout her week-long boarding, putting me at ease throughout. I will definitely request Erica to take great care of my kid in the future.”

“We had a meet and greet and I knew immediately that Katya was going to be the right fit for our pet care needs. She is an excellent pet sitter, and Gracie loved being with Katya. She took her for long walks and was careful with her and the excessive heat. She was attentive to Gracies needs and was forgiving when Gracie was mischievous. She answered all our questions and sent pictures during her stay. Katya was pet sitting another dog and she made sure they got along and took precautions when leaving them alone. I would not hesitate to use her again. She loves animals and it shows in her personality. She had a spotless home and was loving to our Gracie.”

“She was amazing ! She took care of my dog yaya , walked her , bathed her , was very sweet to her and made her feel at home , she went out of her way above and beyond of what I was expecting , she even went out and spent her own money on pads my dog needed , I couldn’t make it on the day I was suppose to pick her up and she pushed her schedule to take care of her another extra day , she is decently someone I will continue to use , she was great and I felt really comstarable knowing yaya was with her and that’s a rare thing”

About: Just minutes away from Prospect Park, my home is a safe and fun refuge for your dog’s daycare and boarding needs. I have two playful rescue dogs who love making new dog friends, and I’ll take care of your baby as part of my family pack. Your dog can play in the doggy oasis living room filled with fun toys, yummy things to chew on, and comfy places to rest. Every afternoon, we take a nice long walk in Prospect Park where we get to sniff so many good smells and have so many wags. Dog days over here really are the best. A bit about me- I'm a long time pet parent with a part-time remote/WFH job and a full-time love of dogs. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats at all stages of life, from puppies who need patience to super seniors who need meds and around the clock care. Our pets are part of our families, and I’ll treat your furry family members just as I do my own- with the utmost care and affection. You can count on me for quality play time, good walks, feeding, and clear communication including pictures and pet updates. Book with me and know your fur baby is in good hands. Dog-friendly dogs only for daycare and boarding. I work part time flexible hours from home, so I have a lot of time to take care of your fur baby along with my own. I have two extremely friendly dog’s dogs who welcome new friends into their pack with open hearts and paws! We do walks in the neighborhood every two-three hours (my youngest is still on a puppy schedule), and a long walk every afternoon in Prospect Park. Our park walk is truly the highlight of my day, and depending on schedules and dog energy, sometimes we spend 3+ hours out there sniffing, wagging, and walking all over the park. While I can accommodate individualized needs and scheduling requests, to the extent possible, your dog will be integrated into our little pack. This will hopefully ease any separation anxiety. And by the end of the day(s) in the pack, your dog will have made new friends for life! My apartment is set up for my two wild and fun dogs with room to add to the pack. My living room is the dog’s room- it has been converted to be a haven for dogs with toys, dog beds, and space to play. All hazards have been removed and/or minimized in the dog play area (ie no choking hazards, cords out of chewing reach, etc). The dogs have an option of sleeping in the dog room or in bed with me. I have a king size bed so there’s space for everyone!
“Diana was incredible! My pup clearly felt so comfortable in her home, and I appreciated her consistent check-ins to let me know how my dog was doing. I can't wait to book her again!”

“Jared is a legend!!! Not only he took great care of Rules, he went above and beyond to make sure Rules was healthy and thriving during his stay! We’ll definitely be rebooking for Rules future stays.”
“Five stars for Jane! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I left my beloved pug, Lord Ginsberg, in Jane’s care while I traveled to Mexico, and I truly could not have asked for a better experience. Lord Ginsberg is not your average dog. He has his own routines, preferences, quirks, and very strong opinions about comfort. Jane understood all of that immediately. Her patience was absolutely legendary, and she took the time to learn his specific needs and little eccentricities without ever making me feel like I was asking too much. What meant so much to me was how communicative she was throughout my trip. She regularly sent adorable photos and videos of Ginsberg, which gave me tremendous peace of mind while I was away. Every update made it clear that he was happy, comfortable, and being genuinely cared for. Jane is not only responsible and attentive, she’s also warm, funny, and incredibly understanding. The best compliment I can give is that I could tell she truly enjoyed Lord Ginsberg’s company. She wasn’t just watching him, she was spending time with him and appreciating his unique little personality. She even came to understand his profound and unwavering love of cheese, which any true friend of Ginsberg quickly learns is a very important part of his worldview. When I came home, I found a happy, relaxed, well-cared-for pug, and that’s every pet parent’s dream. I can’t thank Jane enough for the care, kindness, humor, patience, and attention she showed him. Anytime I travel in the future, I will be hoping Jane is available to take care of Lord Ginsberg again. She has my highest recommendation.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Breezy Point
Anton and Maria took really great care of Archie. They made him feel right at home, took him on lots of walks (even off leash runs at the dog park!), played with him, and kept us updated with plenty of photos/videos and messages throughout his stay. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was so happy, comfortable, and well cared for. We could tell Archie got lots of love and attention, and we would absolutely book with them again. Big thanks to you both!!

We had a wonderful experience with home boarding. Natalia took amazing care of our dog, Cooper. He was comfortable, happy, and clearly well loved during his stay. We felt completely at ease and would highly recommend Natalia to anyone looking for trustworthy and loving pet care.

Natalia did an amazing job taking care of my cat, Tweety, this past week. She was so thoughtful and communicative, sending lots of updates, photos, and videos that showed how relaxed and happy Tweety was with her. Tweety needed daily medication, and Natalia handled it with such care and attention. She really took the time to understand Tweety’s needs, and I could tell Tweety felt safe and comfortable. When I picked Tweety up, all of her things were spotless and neatly organized, which I so appreciated. It’s clear that Natalia genuinely loves animals and puts her heart into what she does. I couldn’t recommend her more highly!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
