“We couldn’t have asked for a better puppy sitter! Pranavi was so attentive and caring with our little fur baby. They followed all instructions perfectly, kept us updated with adorable pictures, and even went the extra mile to make sure our puppy was comfortable and happy. It was clear they genuinely love animals and treated our puppy like their own. We felt completely at ease knowing our puppy was in such good hands. Highly recommend Pranavi to anyone looking for a reliable and loving pet sitter!”

“Shannon and her husband were amazing! They're very caring people. They also have a French bulldog which was a plus for our frenchie. When it came time to pick up our pup, she didn't want to leave. That's the best sign of a successful playdate. Anyway, we highly recommend Shannon and we will definitely be using her again. Thanks, Shannon!! :)”

“Michelle was great with my dog Oakley! I was so thankful she was able to take him on short notice and accommodate whatever we needed... Her house is on a large property that's fully enclosed and in a beautiful gated community in the hills. Whether you have a big dog that loves to run around and interact with other friendly animals or a small dog that prefers to spend time inside close to people, Michelle's house is an awesome place for pets! My dog has major separation anxiety, but instead of stressing out like he normally does when he knows I'm leaving him, Oakley immediately settled in and started exploring the property with one of her dogs right after we got there! I could tell from Michelle's updates and photos that Oakley was really enjoying his time there and felt comfortable he would be well taken care of if he needed to stay even longer in the future. The location of her house turned out to be really convenient and close to where I was going, but even if I'm further away the next time I'm in town and need a sitter, I know that Michelle will be our first choice for sure!”

“Henry and Sharon have been amazing dog sitters for my 7month old puppy Bodhi. They watch him for puppy daycare one day weekly. They are very communicative and reliable and make sure they understand your dog’s personality and care needs so they can make it a comfortable and positive stay. We had a meet and greet with their dog Rufus prior to setting up daycare and Bodhi and Rufus play very well together. They always send a Rover card documenting how the day went with photos and potty breaks. They even go above and beyond and give Bodhi mental enrichment with puzzles and healthy treats. Thank you Sharon and Henry for taking such good care of my little boy!”

“First and best experience with doggy day care! Sara is amazing - so amazing Sugar acted as if I was a stranger. Sugar had so much fun she was tired and napping away when I picked her up. She was definitely showing me some attitude when leaving Sara’s; I’m sure Sugar wanted me to continue working for another 8+ hours. Sugar and I both highly recommend!”

“Tammy has been wonderful with my puppy Kratos! He has a place in her pack and very much enjoys his day at her house. In addition, Tammy has been helping me in his training. She has even been so kind as to have given me a bag of training treats to help me train him. Thanks again Tammy! 😁”

“We are so grateful Derek, Leslie and their family help look after our sweet fur babies when we are away. The Pitadors are always excited when they know they are going to these wonderful Rover sitter’s home and always come back to our home tuckered out from all the play, love and attention they’ve gotten!”

“Piper absolutely loves her Tiesdays with Alyssa. I’m so glad to have found her , she is great with her and I never worry about what she is doing cause I know she always has fun at her house.”

About: I offer personalized dog care in a safe, peaceful home where each dog receives close attention, structure, and affection. I understand that every dog has a different personality, comfort level, and routine, so I take the time to help them settle in and feel secure. I also keep pet parents informed with regular updates, photos, and clear communication throughout the stay. I work from home full time, which allows me to be present throughout the day and give your dog regular attention, supervision, companionship, potty breaks, and a comfortable routine. We live in a house with a fenced yard, so dogs have a safe and secure space to relax and play. I also have a gentle and friendly dog of my own who gets along well with others. I understand that every dog has different needs and routines, so I’m happy to accommodate any special needs. I also have a spare crate available if needed. I truly love dogs and will make sure your pup feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while they are with us.
“Alexa was wonderful with our shy pup Ollie. She sent regular updates and photos throughout the day, which gave us such peace of mind. Ollie takes time to warm up to new people, and Alexa was incredibly patient and she let him come around on his own terms. We’re so grateful to have found someone we can trust with our little guy. Highly recommend Alexa!”

“Alexis and her family were amazing! Came in nervous to drop off our new puppy but they seem like genuine kind people who made us feel at ease. Our puppy seemed like she had lots of love and fun around her.”

“Johnna took such great care of Luna. I felt completely comfortable knowing she was in good hands. We received pictures and updates that kept us feeling confident in her care. Thank you Johnna!”

“Great home with large backyard and plenty of tennis balls for our golden. Lots of picture updates throughout the day helped us feel like she was in our backyard. This couple is very patient and took extra care of our dog.”

“Ann and Steve are so great! Ann allowed us to do a meet & greet to check out her backyard and to get to know our dogs. She does not have pets and prefers to sit one pet family at a time. Awesome right? Ann is very knowledgeable with dogs, patient and so very kind. Ann sent pics of Sasuke and Winston. You can tell Sasuke was happy to be there. Winston is just shy overall but warmed up to Ann and Steve. I would definitely book with Ann again. She is one of the best sitters.”

About: Having been through some pretty big life changes recently, I’m reminded to slow down and focus on things that make me happy. One thing that makes me happy is dogs. I’ve also wanted to get out and take more walks, so what better way to enjoy both than dog walking. I’ve had pets of all types all my life, but dogs are hands down my favorite. I currently have two of my own and occasionally watch my friends’ dogs. A friend of mine uses Rover, and I’ve been a pet sitter since I was a teen, so I thought I’d give it a try. I have taken a few training classes when my dog was a puppy and I have some experience with special needs (seniors, blindness, low mobility, and seizures). I work full time, but telework three days a week. For midday visits and dog walks, someone close to home would be best to ensure availability. We can always discuss evening visits or walks as well. For boarding, unless discussed and scheduled prior, weekends would best to ensure I can be home with your fur babe. I treat visiting pups like my own. They’re allowed on my furniture and in my bed. I have multiple crates of various sizes if a crate is needed. My yard is fenced, but dogs aren’t typically left unattended in the yard. I have seven free range chickens in my yard, so their safety is also a concern for me. I’m also open to discussion if your dogs’ needs don’t align with my typical routine; I don’t mind changing things up if it’s something I can accommodate.
“My dog had such a great time with Debra! I can tell my girl was very calm and happy when I picked her up. Debra even waited outside in the rain to make sure I could find her house when I dropped her off. It was good to know I had someone experienced to watch my dog.”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Brandon Corner commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
