“Michelle was great with my dog Oakley! I was so thankful she was able to take him on short notice and accommodate whatever we needed... Her house is on a large property that's fully enclosed and in a beautiful gated community in the hills. Whether you have a big dog that loves to run around and interact with other friendly animals or a small dog that prefers to spend time inside close to people, Michelle's house is an awesome place for pets! My dog has major separation anxiety, but instead of stressing out like he normally does when he knows I'm leaving him, Oakley immediately settled in and started exploring the property with one of her dogs right after we got there! I could tell from Michelle's updates and photos that Oakley was really enjoying his time there and felt comfortable he would be well taken care of if he needed to stay even longer in the future. The location of her house turned out to be really convenient and close to where I was going, but even if I'm further away the next time I'm in town and need a sitter, I know that Michelle will be our first choice for sure!”

About: I have been a full-time puppy whelper for the past 8 years and come highly recommended with lots of references. I welcome all different breeds. I am always home. While I do have to pick up and drop off my children for their various sports and activities, it’s just a five minute drive away.I am always available. Plus, I’m attending school online from the comfort of my home. I live on 1 1/2 acres with a mini horse, two small goats that like to visit the neighbors and two potbelly pigs. Additionally I have two older French bulldogs who are house trained and very friendly, as well as two cane corsos who get along well with all animals including pony, goats, and pigs- they’re all pals! All of my animals are well-behaved , and I’ve often been told I should’ve been a vet or a dog trainer because of my love for animals. I have two separate backyards-one for the smaller dogs and one for the bigger ones. However I’m accustomed to rotating them due to my experience as a whelper. I know how to manage introducing new dogs and keeping them separate if needed. My dogs have access to indoors and outdoors, and they sleep in the house at night. I’ve set up set up my garage to be cozy and welcoming for dogs to stay in at night.
“Two weeks after adopting a rescue, I was nervous to leave him with anyone and almost cancelled my trip to the snow, but we found Sara instead! She took such good care of my boy who had been through a lot in two weeks! He had a great day and once we got home, had one VERY great sleep!”

“Elaine did an absolutely fantastic job taking care of my two dogs! Her communication was excellent throughout, keeping me updated with adorable pictures that showed just how much fun they were having. I could tell they were well cared for, and they came home happy and tired from all the playtime. Highly recommend Elaine for anyone looking for a reliable, caring pet sitter! 🐶✨”

“Alexa provided such a wonderful Rover experience. She's a great communicator, very attuned to a pet's care instructions, and I came back to find my pup so relaxed and happy with her. I wouldn't hesitate to book again with her, thank you Alexa!”

“Shannon and her husband were amazing! They're very caring people. They also have a French bulldog which was a plus for our frenchie. When it came time to pick up our pup, she didn't want to leave. That's the best sign of a successful playdate. Anyway, we highly recommend Shannon and we will definitely be using her again. Thanks, Shannon!! :)”

“Sara is obviously great with animals and I’m so thankful she was able to watch my high energy dog on short notice. Perfect yard and she took him on walks during the day. Will definitely book again!”

About: I’ve cared for animals my entire life and grew up on a farm with dogs, cats, and a wide variety of animals. That background allows me to confidently care for pets of all temperaments—from high-energy dogs to those that need extra patience and structure. My home sits on 11 acres, giving dogs plenty of safe space to explore and get real exercise not just short walks. I also live a very active lifestyle and make sure every dog gets the movement, playtime, and attention they need to feel happy and comfortable. Your pet won’t just be ‘watched’—they’ll be cared for, exercised, and treated like part of the family. I provide a clean, safe, smoke-free home and send regular updates so you always have peace of mind while you’re away. I’m available every day after 2:30 PM and fully available on weekends. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, allowing me to give consistent attention, exercise, and supervision. I prioritize reliability, so your pet’s schedule stays consistent and stress-free while you’re away. I provide a safe, clean, and structured environment on a peaceful 11-acre property. Pets always have plenty of space to explore while remaining supervised. I follow each owner’s specific instructions closely, including feeding, routines, and any special needs. I can crate if requested and ensure all animals are separated when needed for safety and comfort.
About: Im so excited to be working for you! What a treat to be able to love on your beautiful babies! I enjoy pet sitting so much because just like people, animals have their own personalities and it’s really neat for me to discover them in all the little fur friends I get to meet. I am good natured and loving and your pet will notice that right off the bat. I’m caring and compassionate and you won’t have to worry about your babies while I am there. I enjoy overnight stays because I know it’s important for them to be “at home”. It’s easy for me to feel at home wherever I go! I have a kitty and he stays home and is very content with that. He is a super friendly 15 lb MainCoon that has a very sweet personality. He’s always up for belly rubs. He does not accompany me on any of my stays or visits. I have several families that aren’t on rover that I just love so much. So their reviews aren’t on here. But if you need references, please let me know. I’m grateful for the opportunity to hang out with your fur family and know that you can rest easy knowing they are in good hands, I am open to visits and check ins or even long weekends or vacations. It would be great to come to you. Take a vacation and relax knowing your home and sweet babies are being lovingly cared for. Unfortunately I am unable to board any pets at this time. I don’t have the needed space to accommodate them. Thank you so very much!
About: I grew up with Afghan hounds, so dogs have been a part of my life forever. We adopted our first rescue, Jazzy, in 2015. We have adopted adult cats and kittens. I usually remember pet names before I remember human names when I meet somebody new. I can do in-home boarding for a cat or small dog/puppy if they can get along with our kitten. Otherwise I can come to your home and tuck your fur babies in and greet them early in the morning. Please reach out to discuss. During the day, I am available to walk your dog, feed and play with your pets, and provide all kinds of TLC. Call me! I'm currently building a business as a realtor. I grew up in Southern California, and lived in Alabama for 21 years, where I was a French professor. I moved to El Dorado Hills in 2023 to be near family. Four generations of my family, from my mom down to my four-year-old grandson, live in the Sacramento area. I love pets, and I'd love to help you with yours when you're on the road. I work with clients to provide the kind of customized care that their pet needs. I know pets have all personality types. Some like cuddles, some do not. We are there for your pets needs, whatever they may be.
About: I have loved animals my whole life and have had many pets; dogs, cats, horses, birds, rabbits, sheep and more. I thoroughly enjoy being with animals, loving and caring for them. Some of my first jobs were at animal clinics, where I learned a lot about caring for animals. I was in FFA as a youth, where I raised and showed sheep, and where I also learned a lot. In my younger years I had many horses. I learned how to care for them, feeding, exercising, and cleaning up after them, etc! I learned responsibility, in addition to a deep love of animals. All of my experiences with my own animals, have made me a knowledgeable, responsible and compassionate animal care provider. I am currently semi-retired from working in the hospitality industry. I have plenty of time and I would thoroughly enjoy taking care of your beloved pets. I have an adorable mini schnauzer, Dudley, and a domestic short hair cat, Pete. I love them both so much and get so much enjoyment out of having and caring for them. We love cuddling, talking, and playing. I make sure they have the food, treats, exercise and attention they desire, and are well taken care of and will treat yours with the same love and respect that I show to my own pets.
About: I love cats and dogs and will make sure they get lots of attention and that their area is kept clean and tidy so you come home to a nice place! I have 4 cats and 2 dogs so very familiar with what to do. Happy to take care of yours or take your pups on a nice walk😊 I work from my phone so can essentially do anything or be anywhere as needed. Works out perfectly for me to go and take care of pets! I will make sure your pets have attention and that their area and the house or apartment is well taken care of and kept clean
About: I have always had dogs/animals. We have 5 dogs of our own. We also foster with a local rescue. We specialize in the squish face breeds. We completely understand climate control. We love to exercise outside and go out often to romp. I am currently working remote part of the time (office days are Tues/Thurs). We typically always have someone home and the dogs are likely never alone for more than a 2-3 hour period. Our dogs are very friendly and love to play! We do not have a fenced yard, so our preference would be dogs that are not a flight risk! We can use a flexi leash for potty breaks but that would limit outside play for our guests. We live on 2.5 acres with a lot of grass to romp and play. Our dogs do not go outside unless supervised.
“Sharon and Henry are great dog sitters! I really felt my dog was cared for and they sent frequent updates. Their dog is a sweetie that behaves well around other dogs. My dog came home both days exhausted from playing all day. I would absolutely recommend them and will reach out to them again in the future!”

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Nashville
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 1,141 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Nashville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Nashville commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 1,141 sitters in Nashville, 89% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
