“Vicky and her family were wonderful with Athena! She got lots of love and attention, and I received updates throughout. She came home happy and content. I would definitely use them again.”

“Melissa and her family took very good care of my pups when I needed last minute help. I was very grateful for their kindness and quick communication throughout the day. Will definitely use again when needed. Thank you!!”

“Meli took such great care of my fur baby! From the moment I was in touch with Meli, I felt safe and excited about the opportunity to have Ollie spend the day with her and her pup Nina. She was warm and assuring, and very quick to respond to messages! When I met Meli in person to drop Ollie off, I was happy to find such a friendly and kind person in real life, too! She sent me photos and updates throughout the 6 hours that Ollie was with her for “day care” (without me even needing to ask!) and I could tell he was having fun and being taken care of so well! I would absolutely recommend Meli and would love to have Ollie stay with her again if we need a sitter in Bloomington. Thanks Meli! ?”

About: I have lot's of experience in pet care. I walked dogs, pet and house sat for many years in my 20s and after moving to Lancaster a few years ago began pet-sitting again here. My wife and I work from home, which allows us to spend all day with our beloved Havenese Geordi. We all enjoy having other dogs come to play and stay! My wife and I both work from home. My office has a back door out to our fenced in yard so I am able to let the dogs out pretty much anytime they like. I can't even count how many times a day my dog goes out back. I also like to take the dogs on a stroll around the block before and after work. As mentioned I have a fenced in yard and a Havanese who loves to have dog guests to play with and stay over. We give all the dogs lots attention and always make sure their needs are met.
“Once again, Joy didn’t want to leave! She thinks visiting at Swetha’s is Doggy Disney. I had something come up at the last minute and Swetha was very understanding and accommodating. Thank again for taking such great care of Joy!”

“Normally, when we pick Yoda from a day care or boarding he will express his unhappiness by barking at us trying to tell us he didn’t like it there. But when we picked him up from your place he was all happy and no barks very calm, it tells us he had a good time with you. Thank you for taking good care of him.”

“We were so lucky to find Jacquie! She was very flexible squeezing in a meet & greet with our dog who can be anxious around new people. She has a great, calm energy that immediately put our dog at ease. He loves playing with her 2 dogs and snuggling with her! She is responsive, professional and kind. Thank you Jacquie!”

“Rhadika is a wonderful sitter! She took great care of Bruno and she communicated with me many times during the day with details and photos! Very much appreciated! We will use her again.”

“Delia was absolutely fantastic taking care of our nine month old puppy Oakley. We had to travel from out of state to Massachusetts for a funeral and she kept our puppy for most of the day, keeping us updated with pictures and videos along the way. Very conscientious and easy to communicate with. Highly recommended!”

“Melissa provided us with frequent pictures of our dog during his stay with her. He was clearly enjoying himself at times and resting from all that enjoyment at the other times. We would gladly use her services again. 😊”

“Elaine was great! Our dog was so happy there and I know would love to go back. Elaine was easy to work with and gave us peace of mind as we left the dog for the day. Thank you!”

“Paola and her husband are so great! They communicated throughout the day, and sent pictures of two very happy dogs spending time in their home. I’m glad we found them. Max and Mylo will be back soon!”

“It was a very nice experience with Stephanie ! Ginger enjoyed a lot and came back very happy ! Thanks Stephanie! She also shared wonderful pictures of ginger having fun !”

About: I grew up taking care of dogs since high school! Friends have always called me the dog whisperer. Extremely patient with dogs and worked at a dog salon as a dog bather for 4 years. I do currently have a dog of my own, Bob, a Brussels Griffon. My partner, Dylan, and I work at home 4/5 days. We stagger our days so that someone is always home with the dogs and are never left at home alone. We both work together to make sure my dog and yours are interacting well with each other and are having a good time! We are happy to accommodate any dogs that need extra TLC during the work week from 8/8:30AM to 5:30PM. We are unable to do pick ups later than 5:30PM at this time. Your dog will be able to join us on our morning and midday walk! We only take one dog at a time to provide the highest quality care. I have an unfenced yard, but will always take your dog out leashed. Your dog will be a part of our family during the stay and is allowed on all furniture.

“I was nervous leaving my dog Beau with a sitter for the first time. He is very high energy and has some quirks that we are still working through. After his first day with Anastasia I felt so much better. He came back happy and relaxed after a day of fun at her house. During the week she took him on hikes, let him play in the pool and even took him with her on a trip to the pet store. I will definitely be leaving Beau with Anastasia again in the future!”

“Lingwen was awesome! Very responsive. Ready right at drop off and pick up times. So sweet and careful with our little Princess that our puppy felt safe almost immediately after meeting her. Her place is beautiful, with plenty of space for our puppy to explore and play with others. She took great pictures and videos that kept us up to date on how our puppy was doing througout the stay. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend!”

“Ben was fantastic. He took our pups at the last minute, and the hours I needed a sitter were not ideal. He was kind and the dogs were very happy when we picked them up. Ben sent multiple photos and was quick to reply to my questions. He has made some knowledge information on the dogs behavior. Thank you.”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Boylston commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 2,574 sitters in Boylston, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
