About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them has become both a personal passion and a professional calling. I’ve had the privilege of working with animals in many different environments—from family pets and animal shelters to farms, wildlife rescue and rehabilitation, and professional research settings. I have extensive experience caring for dogs, pigs, goats, sheep, and other farm animals, including my work with Heifer Project International. I’ve also worked with dogs in animal shelters and have shared my life with dogs as pets for most of my life. My work as a wildlife animal rescue and rehabilitation worker gave me the opportunity to care for animals that were often injured, frightened, stressed, or otherwise vulnerable. I learned how important it is to approach each animal with patience, compassion, and respect while paying close attention to their behavior and individual needs. One of the most rewarding experiences of my career was working with the New England Aquarium’s Rescue and Rehabilitation Department, where I helped care for several species of sea turtles. Providing rehabilitative care and administering medications taught me how important consistency, careful observation, and attention to detail are when an animal is recovering or has special needs. My professional animal-care background also includes working as an animal care technician and research technician, where I cared for dogs, pigs, rats, and mice. These positions required me to follow detailed protocols, maintain accurate records, administer treatments, monitor animals closely, and recognize subtle changes in behavior or condition. I’m very comfortable following specific instructions and established routines, including detailed feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise requirements, behavioral considerations, and other individualized care plans. At the same time, I believe great pet care is about much more than simply following a checklist. Every animal has their own personality, comfort level, routines, and way of communicating. I take the time to get to know each pet and treat them with the patience, kindness, and respect they deserve. My experience working with children and elderly individuals in care settings has also strengthened my ability to be patient, attentive, dependable, and compassionate—qualities that I bring to every animal in my care. It includes a room with an attached office area, comfortable bedding, and plenty of space to accommodate several dogs. The setup can also be adapted to separate dogs when needed, whether for feeding, rest, individual care, or simply giving everyone their own space. When appropriate, dogs will also have access to much of my downstairs living area, including the kitchen and living room, so they can feel like they're part of the household rather than simply being boarded. I have a private, unfenced yard as well, providing another convenient option for outdoor time and bathroom breaks. I like to start the day early. A typical morning begins around 5:00 AM with a quick walk and bathroom break, followed by breakfast. About 20–30 minutes after eating, we'll head out for a longer 15–30 minute walk, giving everyone some time to stretch their legs and get their day started. While I'm at work during the weekdays, pets will have their own comfortable, dedicated spaces where they can relax safely. The rooms will be furnished with comfortable bedding and gentle background radio noise to create a calm, familiar environment. Because I work close to home, I’m also able to come home during my lunch break for additional attention, bathroom breaks, and walks. Once I'm home for the day, the focus shifts back to exercise, enrichment, companionship, and plenty of attention. Depending on the dog's personality and energy level, that could mean another walk, some playtime, exploring outdoors, or simply relaxing together. Most importantly, I don't believe there is a one-size-fits-all approach to pet care. I’ll learn your pet's routine and follow your instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medications (oral/injection), exercise requirements, behavioral considerations, and any other special needs. My professional experience caring for animals in shelters, wildlife rehabilitation, research, and veterinary-related environments has taught me to pay close attention to behavior and recognize when something isn't quite right. My goal is for your pet to have a stay that feels safe, comfortable, structured, and enjoyable—and for you to have confidence knowing they are being cared for by someone who takes their well-being seriously.

One of our cats is almost 18 and has health problems and we were worried about leaving him. In addition to feeding and cleaning litter boxes, Michelle gave our elderly cat medication, cleaned up all manner of messes every day, and also gave all the cats treats and affection. The reports and pictures she sent gave us peace of mind while we were away, and we felt our cats were in good hands. We highly recommend Michelle!”

About: I have taken care of multiple dogs, I was responsible for walking them, feeding them, making sure they had enough water, and playing with them! I have worked with reactive dogs who require muzzles and being separated from other dogs. I have a dog of my own as well, Benny! Benny is a Whoodle and we do a lot of training, he recently graduated from his Canine Good Citizen Advanced class! I have been an animal lover my whole life, and having my summers off working in education allows me to spend time doing something I love! Starting June 17th my school year ends. I will be working part time Tues-Fri 10-3 ish but other than that I am free! Am happy to be per diem or on a weekly schedule. It is my goal to accommodate and match the dogs schedule. About: I have lot's of experience in pet care. I walked dogs, pet and house sat for many years in my 20s and after moving to Lancaster a few years ago began pet-sitting again here. My wife and I work from home, which allows us to spend all day with our beloved Havenese Geordi. We all enjoy having other dogs come to play and stay! My wife and I both work from home. My office has a back door out to our fenced in yard so I am able to let the dogs out pretty much anytime they like. I can't even count how many times a day my dog goes out back. I also like to take the dogs on a stroll around the block before and after work. As mentioned I have a fenced in yard and a Havanese who loves to have dog guests to play with and stay over. About: I grew up taking care of dogs since high school! Friends have always called me the dog whisperer. Extremely patient with dogs and worked at a dog salon as a dog bather for 4 years. I do currently have a dog of my own, Bob, a Brussels Griffon. My partner, Dylan, and I work at home 4/5 days. We stagger our days so that someone is always home with the dogs and are never left at home alone. We both work together to make sure my dog and yours are interacting well with each other and are having a good time! We are happy to accommodate any dogs that need extra TLC during the work week from 8/8:30AM to 5:30PM. We are unable to do pick ups later than 5:30PM at this time. Your dog will be able to join us on our morning and midday walk! We only take one dog at a time to provide the highest quality care. I have an unfenced yard, but will always take your dog out leashed. Your dog will be a part of our family during the stay and is allowed on all furniture.

I have a cat now, fostered a senior dog for a while years ago, and have lots of family and friends with dogs/cats. I also volunteer weekly at my local animal shelter. My schedule is different every week, so my availability is very flexible! I am also home during the day when lots of people are away, and work when the world is asleep! I am adaptable to any environment, needs, or requirements for your pet. I am comfortable walking, crating, training, feeding, and administering meds to your pet! All I require is written or typed instructions to ensure it’s done properly and safely!

I have a very flexible schedule, so I can build my day around a pet's routine: walks, feeding, and medication times, rather than fitting them around mine. Consistency and presence are important to me, especially for animals who do best with a steady routine. I adjust care to each pet's comfort and energy level, including 30 minutes of fetch in a fenced yard, 30- to 45-minute leashed walks, or a leashed hike if they're up for it (if the weather permits). I stay attentive to their routine and needs throughout our time together, and I also offer baths or nail trims for an additional $20 if you'd like.

About: I grew up with a dog from the age 3-16! My best friend has a Boxer and I've been taking care and watching him frequently since he was a puppy! I also worked at an office where the owners had two dogs, a small chihuahua and a greater Swiss mountain dog. I took them out for frequent walks & fed them, as well as watched them when the owners weren't around. I'm currently a Stay-Home-Mother. My son is 3 years old, so the pet must be toddler friendly. I am home most weekdays. I can be busy on weekends, but if I have an early heads-up, I can accommodate. I am flexible during the week and have a car to drive to my client's houses! About: I've taken care of both cats and dogs for a long time, I had a dog when I was growing up, who I walked a lot and played with every day. When he got older, I drove him to his cancer treatments at a specialist vet, and to his radiation treatments. Most of my friends growing up also had pets that I played with and saw regularly, and I've house-sat and pet-sit for several of my friends and neighbors. I have a lot of time to dedicate to caring for pets! I am currently in between jobs in my career and have plenty of time to look after other's pets! I have a pet-friendly apartment with a space for dogs to run around, and a huge field next to my apartment which is perfect for playing fetch. I also love going on hikes and being outside, which is ideal for dogs that need walking. At home, I regularly play with my cat and feed her on a schedule that she is familiar with!
