Total Distance: 1.6 miles / 43 minutes of walking
Portland has a great dog-friendly area in Nob Hill. Start out your day with a stop for a meal and a cold one at the Lucky Labrador Beer Hall. As the name indicates, this beer hall is dog-friendly!
Next, stop by the Hip Hound, a pet store full of yummy delights for your dog (if you didn’t sneak them some table scraps). This is an 18-minute stroll from the beer hall, which you can reach by heading west on NW Quimby. Then turn left on NW 20th Ave, right on NW Lovejoy Street and left on NW 23rd Street until you past NW Irving St. A quick snack here will give your dog the energy they need for the next trek towards beautiful city views.
To get to the International Rose Test Garden, continue south on NW 23rd toward Hoyt Street until you get to W. Burnside St. Head west on W. Burnside Street towards the Stearns Canyon Trails / Cloud Forest Walk.
Take note that it’s an uphill climb to reach the garden, so make sure your pup is well-rested!
