Pups in the Park

D.C Walk for Animals & Pet-a-Palooza
5000 14th Street NW, Washington, DC
This event starts with a 1-mile, untimed walk around the neighborhood. After the walk, you can enjoy a variety of activities. Bring your dog and enjoy live music, pet entertainment, activities for kids, pet adoptions, and meet the local exhibitors. The walk benefits the Washington Humane Society and seeks to end pet homelessness in the community.
Capitol River Cruise
31st and K St. NW, Washington, DC
Take a Capitol River Cruise and enjoy a narrated history of many popular sites along the Potomac River. Bonus, you can bring your dog along, for no extra charge! Cruises run from April through October. They depart every hour starting at 11am and run 45 minutes in length. To buy tickets and for more details visit their website.
Barrel Oak Winery TGI Sunset Specials
3623 Grove Lane, Delaplane, VA
Every summer Friday from 4-9pm while weather permits, this winery hosts TGI Sunset Specials. They offer $4 off all bottles of wine that you can enjoy while watching the sunset. Doggy Happy Hour at Hotel Monaco Alexandria

Enjoy dog-friendly happy hour at Hotel Monaco Alexandria every summer Tuesday through the early fall, and enjoy cocktails and tavern bites while your pooch mingles with the other dogs.
Dog Days Bloom Festival

About an hour and 15 minutes north west of D.C., you’ll find Great Country Farm. In late summer, they host the Dog Days Peach Festival. There’s fun for the whole family: Kids can play in the play area, everyone can enjoy finding u-pick peaches in the orchard, and dogs have everything from an agility course to Doggie Olympic Games and demonstrations to keep them engaged. Dogs are also welcome to swim in the farms pond throughout the day. The first hundred pups to visit the farm will receive a doggie bag of goodies and coupons to bring home!
