“Lisa is a gem. She made herself available with short notice and was kind and patient with me as a new puppy parent to the rover app. Most importantly I was able to enjoy a day off without feeling guilty and worrying about leaving my puppy’s home for an extended time.”

About: I’ve cared for all sizes and ages of dogs and cats for many years, including aging pets with special needs and puppies/kittens! I am not a certified trainer, but I have trained several dogs I’ve had personally and would be happy to help reinforce potty training/crate training/general training via positive reinforcement <3 I’m currently between jobs after layoffs at my company, so aside from interviews my time is wide open to care for your pets! I’m also happy to do some light cleaning if you’re hiring for house sitting! I have experience crate training dogs and generally good at patiently gaining cats’ trust. I am good at maintaining leash control with dogs and maintaining awareness to keep us both safe when walking near roads, as well as being very gentle with medications and special needs care.

“Sarah was very sweet and kind to myself as well as my pup Addie. She was patient with Addie and had great interactions with her. Initially I was nervous about having someone come to my home and walk my dog but after the meet and greet with Sarah i felt more at ease. I will continue to hire her as long as she's available! She's great❤️”

About: I am just starting this journey as a dog walker, sitter. Now that I am a retired teacher I can give my time to helping care for other’s pets. I grew up with my one and only Keeshound Pepper. After she passed I never got another dog; however, I love my friend’s and family’s dogs. I also have a beautiful grand dog named Harper. When we had our kids we were never home because all three of them played several travel sports. I never thought it was fair to have a dog. Now that my kids are grown, I feel like I can enjoy helping take care of other people’s pets. Starting mid June I will be down the shore for most of the summer. My main home is in Turnersville. I would be available most weekdays and some weekends. Although my address will show Turnersville, please reach out if you are near Ocean City. I have the flexibility to come down the shore if needed. I also would like to do this to motivate me to get out and exercise more while enjoying time with your pets. I just retired from being a special education teacher after 28 years. I am a very responsible, trustworthy person and I would care for your pets like they are my own.
About: Growing up I had a lot of animals all around. Turtles/tortoise, frogs, bearded dragons, chickens, geckos, and a dog. I love taking my dog on walks or to the park as well as family or friends dog that needed a sitter. I’m currently on summer break from college. I will have plenty of time to take care of your dog! I will be available seven days a week. I will always love your pet like I love my own. I’ll always keep an eye on your dog at all times. Your dog will always be cared for and in safe hands.

Blackwood dog parents share their Rover experiences
We’ve had such wonderful experiences with Stacey! Our dog has stayed overnight with her in the past, and she’s also come by to take her for a walk and feed. Stacey always gives the best updates, which gives us so much peace of mind, and it’s clear how much she truly cares. She takes amazing care of our baby every single time. We’re so grateful to have found someone we trust completely — highly recommend! 🐾✨

Jenny has been unbelievably kind and patient with my shy rescue Jesse. He is responding quickly to her positive energy, learning to be friends and allow her to walk him. She has brought her husband Anthony and little daschund so they can walk together, a beautiful healing experience for my unsocialized, scared dog. They are gems and we are so lucky to have we found them!!

Melissa is such a caring and responsible dogwalker! She really takes the time to care for our dog, Kyrie, and you can tell because our dog immediately took to her. Melissa’s also a great communicator and has been proactive about letting me know if there’s any issues or any schedule changes. I highly recommend Melissa :)
