About: I have taken care of dogs since 5 years ago helping friends and family when they needed help. I always had a connection with dogs and love to take care of them. I have a part-time job that gives me time to take care of pets weekdays and weekends mostly in the mornings. I can accommodate my schedule too. I make sure that all the necessities and schedules any dog has are completed before leaving, making sure the dog feels comfortable and safe are my top priorities.

About: I can’t remember a time I didn’t have a pet of some sort under my care! From dogs, to birds, to fish, to frogs, I’ve really done it all! While I don’t have a furry friend of my own yet in vet school, I would love to take yours in and treat them like my own. I’ve already dedicated my life to the wellbeing of animals—why not include yours in that too! I’m currently a veterinary student so my schedule is a bit dynamic! I’m free 24/7 over the summer, but starting in September my availability shifts to evenings and weekends. Over the winter I will have more times open again! I live in a residential area with sidewalks (and a park!) perfect for daily walks, and I even have a fenced-in yard for extra play time. No other furry friends currently—so all of my attention will be on your baby!

About: My fiancé and I both grew up in homes where caring for multiple dogs was the norm—he had anywhere from two to six at a time, and I was always surrounded by dogs as well. Together, we now have two of our own who are extremely well cared for, happy, and loved. With our lifelong experience and hands-on daily care, we’re very comfortable managing different personalities, routines, and needs. Any dog in our care will be treated like family and receive the same level of attention, structure, and love as our own. We both have flexible schedules, so one of us is always home. We go on daily walks in the morning and evening, and we never leave pets outside unattended. Our routines are adaptable, allowing us to accommodate the needs of any pet. We live right on a park, walks are a must for us and we accompany our pets outside on a long lead for simple day to day potty breaks.

About: I have had multiple dogs ever since I was 10 and have never had an issue with any of them. They know they are loved and cared for! Currently I’m between jobs so I have a good and open schedule to care for your animals. I love animals and have a lot of fun playing with them and walking them! We have a fence at my house that allows my dog at home to have a wide open space for playing and exploring. He also receives many bones for good behavior throughout the day.

About: I have taken care of many dogs and cats over the past 6-8 years. Most have been friend’s and family’s and now I would like to extend my support to others who may need help. I would love walking your dog, letting them out for a quick run around the yard or a potty break. Feeding or checking in on your dogs and cats while you’re away or at work is also something I would love to help with. Let me know how I can help you take care of your fur baby when you can’t. I’m a teacher and have summers off to devote time during the week caring for your furry babies. I can come in the mornings and afternoons to help with walking, feeding, and letting out for exercise and potty breaks. I am a passionate animal lover who enjoys caring for both cats and dogs. I provide reliable and attentive pet care services, including feeding, walking, playtime, and general companionship. I understand that pets are family members, and I am committed to ensuring they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while their owners are away. Whether your pet needs a daily walk, regular feeding, or extra attention and affection, I offer dependable care tailored to their individual needs.

About: I’ve pet sat for a couple years now, my most regular customer has multiple dogs, one cat, four birds, and a ton of snakes, so I’m well equipped to watch a variety of animals! Throughout my life I’ve had multiple dogs, all different breeds, German shepherds, shih tzu’s, Boston terriers, and more, so in my opinion there’s no animal too big or too small that I can’t befriend! I’m a college student but my schedule is pretty flexible outside of classes, though during school breaks I’m completely free and I do own a car so I can travel a good distance to wherever your home resides! I will not be caring for pets in my own home, but when I’m caring in your home I’m more then happy to accommodate for whatever your pet needs, such as using a leash to go potty, or getting them to take pills if need be!

About: I’ve loved animals my whole life and have been caring for them for over 8 years. For the past 2–3 years, I’ve regularly walked dogs at my college animal shelter. My experience ranges from energetic puppies to senior dogs needing a gentler touch. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, and care for their pets like they’re my own. I’m patient, reliable, and genuinely enjoy connecting with every animal I meet. I currently work a few mornings during the week, which leaves my afternoons and evenings free to care for your pets! I’m also available on weekends for dog walking, drop-ins, or boarding. Pet care easily fits into my routine because it’s something I genuinely love and look forward to. I always prioritize comfort and safety, whether that means giving space or providing plenty of play. I’m also happy to crate your dog if that’s part of your home routine or training. Your pet’s well-being is always my top priority.

About: I have a genuine love for dogs that is unconditional. I care about the safety of your pet as well as happiness. I’ve only had one year of pet experience but I am surely committed to growing that number, because after my first dog, I’ve learned that all pets are different. Each pet has specific personality traits and have certain needs to be met. I have the patience to learn with each pet. I’ll always love dogs because my dog showed me how much of a connection we can make with animals, and that they have a certain trust in us. I want to help your pet(s) thrive and I look forward to meeting more furry friends!😄 I would like to dedicate at least 3 days a week to dog walking and taking care of pets. I simply want to become better every day at working with animals because I look forward to a career in pet care. I am not very busy at this moment, working a part-time job, so would like to fill up my schedule with activity that is meaningful to me. I have a gated fence surrounding the perimeter of my backyard and front yard, so it is safe for your dog to run around. I will make sure to give water and treats when your pet is thirsty or needs a break.

About: I've taken care of pets of all kinds since I was very young, from birds to cats and lizards to dogs, being tasked to walk, care for, feed, and just generally oversee. I am also a current Pre-veterinarian undergrad, and am confident in my taught abilities to both handle and treat animals. I love working with any and all animals, and am absolutely thrilled to be working with your furry friends! I'm a fresh animal science graduate from the University of Delaware, and have a pretty flexible schedule. Inquire with what you need, and I'll let you know if the times align! I currently have a very eccentric 3 year old, and as such have experimented a lot in the safest possible options for your pets! I am super confident I can provide a safe environment where trust can be built and your pet is safe.

About: I don't just walk dogs or keep them in crates. I take care of them, Cats also. Right now I have 2 dogs. I make sure to train them and get them the recommended exercise per day. I want to get into specialised training of dogs for health if needed. Like a more rigorous and show dog trick like exercise regimins. The best way to keep a dog healthy is to have them do regular walking and intervals of sprints and playing fetch. My care experience is mostly with cats and dogs. I have taken care of 15 dogs and 7 cats over my life. I am instantly drawn to animals and get along very well with them. It is very important that they are treated to the best because of their beautiful nature. A lot of my day is pet-care related. I have 2 dogs but frequently visit my family who have the rest of my dog's lineage, so there is a lot of personality. I always make sure my dogs get fed well, and exercise regularly. I have a fenced in yard and a huge amount of roaming space for dogs to play. They are not dogs to me. They are family.

About: I've grown up with and learned to handle a variety of dogs. Grew up with Border Collies so I'm use to high energy dogs. Have taken care of friends pets and gotten to know even the most nervous of dogs. Looking forward to meeting your furry family member! I work a variety of part time jobs so my schedule is often in flex depending on the time of year. So I'm often flexible about long term or short term care visits. If you need a secure schedule, with a conversation I can often guarentee a specific schedule for whatever your needs are. When I've taken care of pets in other people's homes, I make sure I have a full understanding of both health and behavioral needs. If your pet needs medication at certain times, I make sure I have all needed details. I make sure I ask any questions and follow all directions to keep your furry family member safe.

If you are looking for an experienced, considerate, and dedicated dog walker/sitter, then you've found your match! Gregory has provided dog walks and overnight care for our 60lb hound mix multiple times over the last few months and we couldn't be happier with the care he provides. He is incredibly communicative, provides very detailed updates after every walk (with plenty of pictures included), and has shown the utmost dedication to understanding our dog Izzy and her specific behavioral needs. We have worked with many positive reinforcement trainers in the past to address our pups over-excitability and leash reactivity and Gregory using much of the same language as these dog trainers when discussing strategies he used on his walks with Izzy to help redirect and keep her focused and safe. Our pup is very scent driven on walks which can require a lot of patience and steady redirection, and we are so grateful for how kind and gentle Gregory is when handling Izzy. We've only had one overnight experience with Gregory so far and he took great care of our home and left the house spotless! He also ensured us that he only books one overnight stay at a time to avoid any conflicts in schedule and make sure our dog has company throughout the night and to keep her safe in the event of an emergency. All that being said, you will have no regrets choosing with work with Gregory and we feel very fortunate to have found him!

Lindsey has been amazing with my 2-year-old pup, Max, who just started walking with her. She goes above and beyond—sending about 10 photos and videos each visit that truly show how much time, care, and activity she gives. She even thoughtfully brought her dog, Paco, to help socialize Max, which made such a positive difference. I’ve had other walkers before, but Lindsey stands out for her attention to detail, genuine care, and the way she treats Max like her own. I highly recommend her to any dog parent.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
