About: *great references available upon request. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.* Hi there! I have been in the animal care business my whole life. Growing up on a ranch taught me a lot about horses, dogs, cats and the outdoors. I am very knowledgeable in terms of animal health and behavior. I have been entrusted with many great animals in my lifetime, and it's so rewarding to get to know each individual pet and their families. Having raised my own German Shepherds, I was able to apply and learn what I needed to create a good all around dog. My personal dogs have given me and edge in how I communicate with each dog that comes into my care. I understand all dogs are different and I like taking things slow, and building trust and confidence in the long run. I take pride in providing the greatest care to each individual pet. I have references for house/pet sitting, dog walks, basic dog grooming, Kennel Management, Dog Breeding, ranch caretaking, barn manager, foreman, assistant to horse trainer, from/horse care/feed/lay up. I also have background in House Cleaning, in home caregiving and Personal Assistant roles. I am accustomed to taking care of my own personal pets daily. I check their food/water in am and pm. and usually lunch time. I take them out for constant bathroom breaks, play time, exercise. Double checking doors, locks. Safety First. Ensuring all and any gear are working well, (collar, leash, harness etc) I reach out to you periodically during visits / walks/ boarding/ sitting. I am available for any questions, comments, and concerns.

Christine is awesome! She swooped in last minute as my high-energy dog was needing additional enrichment and exercise when I was out of town. She asked all of the right questions and you can tell she’s very experienced! I feel so grateful to have found her & my pup had fantastic adventures with her! I highly recommend working with her!

Jonathan was fantastic with Roman this weekend! His communication was excellent from start to finish. He kept me updated throughout the walk and sent photos and videos so I could see Roman having a great time. He also made sure Roman was fed and taken care of exactly as instructed. It's clear Jonathan genuinely cares about the pets he looks after, and I felt completely at ease knowing Roman was in good hands. Would absolutely book him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive rover!

Skills include: • Providing daily walks, playtime, and mental stimulation • Administering medication and special dietary care • Following training cues and behavioral guidelines • Handling puppies, seniors, and animals with special needs • Ensuring safety and comfort during solo time or socialization • Offering basic grooming and cleanliness maintenance I’m dedicated to creating a fun, secure space for pets to thrive while their humans are away. I’m currently focused on getting a book published, which means my schedule can be flexible yet full—if you catch my drift. Working with animals not only keeps me inspired but also supports my growing business, which combines professional cleaning with attentive pet sitting. ⸻ Pet care is a meaningful and energizing part of my daily routine. Whether it’s morning walks, play sessions, feeding, or simply offering quiet companionship, I prioritize pets’ well-being and happiness every day. Because I’m currently working on publishing a book, I have the flexibility to dedicate focused, consistent time to each animal I care for. This means I can adapt my schedule to meet your pet’s specific needs—whether that’s extra playtime, medication administration, or simply being a calm presence while you’re away. Our family continues to heal from the loss of our beloved cat, Giraffe, last year. Caring for animals has been a vital source of comfort and strength as we embrace this new chapter. I’m dedicated to creating a clean, calm, and nurturing environment where pets feel safe and cherished. I look forward to providing thoughtful, reliable care for your furry family members while you’re away. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or mine, my goal is always to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free environment tailored to their needs. In Your Home: I follow your routines closely — feeding schedules, exercise, medication, and any special instructions — so your pet experiences as little disruption as possible. I keep their space clean, respect their boundaries, and offer companionship and playtime based on their personality and energy level. I also ensure your home stays tidy and secure while you’re away. In My Home: If your pet stays with me, they’ll be welcomed into a calm, comfortable space where I prioritize consistency and care. I maintain a clean, pet-friendly environment with plenty of attention, exercise, and mental stimulation. I’m attentive to signs of stress or discomfort and adjust accordingly to keep them happy and relaxed. No matter the setting, I treat every animal like family — with patience, respect, and affection — ensuring they feel safe and loved throughout their stay.

Mariah is wonderful with my 2-year-old German shepherd, Falko. He listens to her on his walks, and she gives me great recaps on his behavior and how the walk went. Falko gets really excited when Mariah comes to walk him. We will definitely continue to ask Mariah to come and walk Falko - it is a great help, and we have peace of mind that he is in good hands.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Bivalve. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Bivalve.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bivalve. On Rover:

  • 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
