About: I grew up with many animals in our household from dogs, cats, turtles, birds, fish, and bunnies and always had a unique connection to them. I have an innate empathetic understanding with them. I have experience with training younger dogs, as well as taking care of elderly dogs. I have experience providing necessary medication if needed, as well as lots of love and snuggles and adventurous hikes or leisurely walks for elderly animals. Currently I have a cat and would love to have another dog but for now getting to take care of other people's dogs or cats would satisfy my desire to be around lots of animals. I am currently a full-time student and I work remotely online so my schedule is flexible and I can work from anywhere. I would prefer to watch dogs and cats in your home. I like to communicate with the owner of the pet and get a clear understanding if there is a particular feeding or walk schedule, as well as if medications are required, or crate preferences. I am happy to send a photo of your animal baby each day if you like daily check ups. I love communication so trust and understanding are developed between myself and the owner.
“Cora has been such a great, reliable dog walker for us. She always showed up, communicated well, and took great care of our dogs. I would recommend her to anyone who is interested in hiring her for your pets needs!”

“Noelle is wonderful. Mature, responsible, and handled both of our dogs well - one is a 45# puppy! Noelle will also be house sitting for us soon and we could not be happier about this.”

About: Does your furbaby need extra love and special attention while you are away? I am happy to help care for your furbabies with lots of love, adventures, and yes even training. I can ease both you and your furbaby’s anxiety by staying with them in their home and checking in with you regularly with photos and videos. Boarding your furbaby elsewhere is very stressful for them, especially considering the limited amount of care and physical activity. I will give them all the love and attention that they need and take them on adventures around the neighborhood (with your permission); it really helps to refocus and calm them down. Let's make sure your furbabies are as happy and comfortable as possible while you're away. I also provide basic training and understand common behavioral issues such as reactivity and separation anxiety. I love working with puppies, helping to socialize them and teach recall is critical at a young age. Be sure to tell me all about your pet's quirks and needs so that I can help. I have over 10 years of professional pet-care experience, plus I have cared for many types of animals. I took some time off from petsitting when I took on the full-time responsibility of caring for an elder dog. Our family’s Siberian Husky, Skye, was truly the best companion and adventure buddy. She lived a happy, active life for 16 years! She is dearly missed and will furever be with me in spirit. Now I am getting back into professional pet-care and I look forward to making many new friends, caring for your furbabies as tho they were my own. I work mostly remotely from home so I have the ability to stay with your furbaby in their home and give them the attention they need. When I am housesitting, I am also taking care of your home. I'll bring in the mail and water the plants. I always clean-up after myself and your pets before I leave so that you can come back home to a clean and comfy space. Just let me know whatever lil things you need help with while you're away. Happy to help!

About: I've fostered dogs in my home and cared for dogs and cats in other people's homes and am excited to do more of both! I got into housesitting several months ago and love getting to spend focused time and attention on animals while their people are away. While fostering dogs, I worked on light training - improving walking manners, comfort with strangers, and basic commands. I cared for my dogs for a few weeks to several months until they were adopted and loved getting updates from their new families about their progress. I make time for your animals as they need it! I work part time, which allows plenty of time for walks, playing fetch, cuddle sessions, and on-time meals. If temperament allows, I’ll take your pup with me to dog-friendly spots in town and along longer walking paths and trails. I'm new to California and settling in the area. I'm excited to explore different neighborhoods, meet cool people, and spend time with your furry friends. If I’m staying in your home, I’m in your best friend’s space. Whatever they’re used to, is what they’ll get, whether that’s permission (or not) to get on furniture, sleep with me in bed, and set our walking schedule.
About: I am an avid dog lover and truly a lover of all animals. I have been a proud owner of many different dogs in my lifetime and I am dedicated to caring for dogs that are in need. Since my early youth I have always been the "go to" person to tend to family pets and those of neighbors and friends, along side my own. I have been fortunate to have learned from those experiences and I pride myself on sharing all that knowledge with every pet in need or not. One of my dogs "Woody" a 75 pound mixed breed that I could not imagine being without, actually attended University with me and everyone on campus adored him. Dogs need to feel safe and cared for and in return they offer the same comforts to people. I know what it means to truly care for animals and I believe they are as drawn to me as I am to them. I have worked for the Humane Society as well as several Veterinarians' offices throughout my many years of pet care. In my youth, when asked what I wanted to be when I grew up I always imagined myself as a Vet. Although I never achieved that goal, the years I spent learning from others has not gone to waste. I am quick on my feet to respond to any issue(s) that needs my immediate attention and I personally believe that when caring and giving love and attention to pets I am not only providing a service but in return I am rewarded beyond any financial gain. I am extremely trust worthy and know that our furry friends are family too and deserve to be cared for, loved, have a safe place to call their home away from home whenever in need and above all will be treated by someone who appreciates their uniqueness. No expectation is to much for me to accommodate as needed. I will gladly go above and beyond to ensure that the pet(s) that I care for and their owners are MORE than satisfied. Guaranteed! I am currently not working away from my home and so my schedule can easily become your schedule as needed. Full boarding available for scheduling 7 days a week including holidays. FOR FIRST TIME ROVER USERS, USE PROMO CODE: WORLDP38657 FOR AN ADDITIONAL SAVINGS. I have a spacious home for boarding which is away from the street level with an extensive backyard as well as open space with several nearby parks for walks and playtime. I live in a popular dog walking area that is also very safe. My home offers easy access for any bathing and or grooming needs, no matter how big or small your pet may be. I can also crate your pet(s) upon request. Visits, pickups and drop offs are also available, safe and secure. I am currently working part time from home which makes me available around the clock. I enjoy walking and driving which opens the door to new parks and walking experiences throughout the Marin County area and beyond. I enjoy the 3 big 'W's. Wind, Wheels, and Water. I find that most animals also enjoy at least 1 if not all 3 so finding something to do or somewhere to go is an easy reach. If your pet(s) prefer to spend their time at home, with little to no real change in routine, that is fine too. I have a fenced yard which is secure and safe for small dogs as well as large dogs. Behind my home is open space which provides the option of enjoying a walk or playtime without having to be around other people or dogs. I am currently working from my home so your schedule can easily become my schedule so that I may accomodate you and your pet(s) needs 24/7. I have a spacious home and open space as an extension to my backyard which allows your pet to not have to deal with other pets or people whenever needed.

About: I’ve taken care of all types of dogs for 30 years. I have two Pittbull mixes , one boxer Pitt and one Pitt bulldog. The Pitt Bull Dog has intervertebral disk disease and used my training in occupational therapy and massage and did physical therapy with him myself so he could use his back legs again, after being paralyzed and needing a wheelchair. He’s now able to walk without his wheelchair. I’ve also taken pittbull training classes with them and am knowledgeable about training cues. I currently work as a distribution sales executive, and work from home, so have free time in the afternoons and weekends. I have a baby and two dogs of my own and would still be able to take some time to visit other dogs in my area. I can check on pets during the day or while clients are on vacation . I can take them on walks, let them out in the yard, play fetch , feed them , snuggle them, and even give medicine.
About: I am a life-long dog owner and lover. In the past few years I have helped raise multiple puppies and been a professional pet and house sitter. I have cared for dogs of all breeds and sizes, from teeny tiny to 130+ lbs ! I love going on walks in nature and making sure dogs get sufficient exercise and mental stimulation. And of course, lots of snuggles! I have experience with elderly and special needs dogs as well, including medication and special diets. I look forward to meeting your sweet pup! I am a musician who works from home so I have a lot of flexibility and time to pour into the animals I am caring for. Daily walks are my favorite! I treat every space I enter as sacred and care for it like my own. My home has 2 small dogs currently, so it is designed for their care and safety. I love to leave a space cleaner than when I found it! And bless it with positive energy, leaving you with a happy pet.

“Julian was a great match for Coffee and I. He is friendly, responsable and very knowledgeable about his job. He keeps sending pictures and videos of each walk that I appreciate so much during my busy work schedule. Totally will contact him for future events. Thanks Julian and Rover for helping us.”

About: I am a kind, reliable, loving college student who loves spending time with furry friends. I have two dogs of my own and have had a few felines as well in my household. I have volunteered at animal shelters and shadowed veterinarian hospitals and I learned I rather spend time having fun with animals and taking care of them in a surrounding that is most comfortable for them. I am honest and value honesty and integrity as well as family. Our pets are a part of our family and I know from experience it can be hard leaving them home alone for a week or couple of hours. I am here to make that easier by relieving the stress of the unkown of what is happening with your pet at home by being with them and taking excellent care of them. I am available week days and weekend to sit, walk or visit your furry friends from 6am-8pm which give me plenty of time to play and make sure your pets are taken care of. While taking care of your furry friends I make sure that they are safe and follow any instructions left by you to keep them happy and safe.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
